It's 4 counts to a bar, and i think what you meant was that you write your music generally in 4 8 bar phrases. That's only in standard though.

thats whats up, i produce too and sometimes looking at the software and how the notes on the screen play out and all the extra "visual" stuff can slowly have you rely on what bars "look" like in software. so this was most helpful in reminding me to "listen" again. and i agree on how the beat will bring out a certain style in an mc. bet, real talk in this. you guys stay up!
