  • That's your local NBC station screwing up, not the Today show... that's the spot where the local forecast is supposed to go, but the local station must not have been ready or something.

  • I actually laughed at this little mistake! All the other ones weren't all that funny.

  • LOL.

  • lol - a little song, a little dance, a little self serve down ur pants.

  • why is this titled as a "screw up" ?? This is what happens if the NBC affiliate that is Broadcasting the Today Show doens't do a weather cut in...

  • @TaylorMMontgomery , because it is a "screw up", in fact a double screw up. Firstly, the local weather should have appeared for those 30 seconds. Secondly (and more importantly) NBC should have the microphone turned off, so just in case the local weather doesn't show, at least there's a somewhat professional air maintained.

  • @filmnet but that's what always happens .. lol. that's what they always do during the cut in period. I kind of like it. a little behind the scenes audio peek.

  • @filmnet The reason they do not cut the microphone is because when they come back it is much easier to just start talking instead of killing the mic, coming back, some reason not having the mic turned back on in time...

  • Haha.

  • What does that mean in your neck of the woods?

  • It means like 'in your area'.

  • the black dude does the national weather and when he says 'heres whats happeningin your neck of the woods' a local news station does a cut in of your local weather in this case the local news didnt do a cut in so you could hear them even though they were "off air"

  • I always like it when our local station misses the cutaway and airs this Today feed. Still happens now and then.

  • Yes I enjoy that myself. NBC stations miss it a lot. rarely see it with the other networks.

I do know CBS airs a crawl of that days weather forecast for select major cities across the country, with background music.

Don't know what ABC does. Strange because I watch GMA every morning, but have never seen this happen with WLS, the ABC affiliate here in Chicago.

    Anyone?

  • @nakamichiguy I remember back a few years ago when I lived in PA and WBRE would show this for 2 seconds. It always pissed me off to not see the entire thing.

  • In the Philippines, the station here that airs Today is airing the network feed. It doesn't have any clock, ticker, and most of all, you could hear what Al says during the opt-out of local stations (like what is in the video). At first, I thought that was a technical problem.

  • wtf is going on

  • That wasnt a Today show srew up it was a station screw-up some stations air a pre recorded weather cut-in and some do a live cut-in. but they do that all the time. what city state was that in

  • lol what makes me lagh is they are actet fuuney then right quick seriusnes

  • Yeah, that was no blunder on the network side. Al and the gang banter like that all the time when they throw that screen up (on weekdays anyway--they actually explain the screen on weekends). That's their breather for the local station to do their quick feed.

  • Wow what the hell has he been smoking? Lol this is hilarious

  • What a friggin retard Al is...

  • Very Funny! This is a lot like my video, Al Roker Gets Pissed on Live TV.

  • Al Roker Wasn't Pissed At All Your Video was dumb

  • i agree

  • He always does that, like the other person said it was someone at your local news station that dropped the ball there, perhaps the weather girl cant speak English like ours and has trouble with a 30 second weather but none the less. True, Al does make weird sounds sometimes in this spot.

  • Your local NBC affiliate was supposed to place their own weather there. Apparently, someone fell asleep at the control room...

  • Either that, or whoever taped it lives in NYC.

  • Well, WNBC would replace it with NYC weather? Right?

This could have been off of the satellite!

  • Exactly..this happens all of the time. In most stations, the master control operator is supposed to run a prerecorded 30 second weather update...obviously this one wasn't paying attention. :P
