My love for this song knows no bounds. The only thing I'm upset with is that there isn't a part two, yet.

I get shivers thinking about this tune; it's very difficult to only listen to it once through. Powerful story, masterfully told, but they leave me hanging. Finish the tale!

Loki tricked balders blind brother into shooting a mistletoe arrow into balder. as mistletoe was the only thing with the ability to harm balder, he died.

Balder was forced to stay in hell because loki (in the form of a giantess) refused to weep for him! when the gods discovered this, they used the guts of his son, nari, to bind him to three boulders, and suspended a serpent, drooling caustic venom, above his head. what an imaginitive torture =)

actually it was baldr;) he was killed by a mistletoe by the blind hod. Frigg(mother of baldr) made everything on earth promising they wouldn't kill balder cause he was needed for ragnarok. but the mistletoe seem too young so she didn't let him promise. Loki, the mean god, made an arrow of the mistletoe and let Hodur (baldr blind brother) throw it to baldr. so hodur killed his own brother. Baldr couldn't go to valhalla because he didn't die on an honour way so he had to go to hell.

I kinda agree with broodpap. When I first heard Amon Amarth, I loved the music, but the voice was hard to get used to. Mainly because I'd been listening to vocalists like Bruce Dickinson and Ronnie James Dio. But, after a while, I got used to it, and now, I feel that the music would not be as awesome as it is without vocals like these.
