Thumbs up if you think the stupid 'explicit lyrics' message in the video description is stupid because no version of the song has swearing in. There's no swearing on any version of the album, G-Sides. The message was attached becaue RIAA persumed it'll have swearing on like the band's debut. The only 'explicit' thing about G-Sides is the sound of a bong being made on 'Left hand Suzuki Method' - only on versions of the album without the Parental Advisory logo on it.

@killwize Its a metaphor, like all the lyrics in the song. How I translate it: The song is a realization of how much the world has changed from the 1900's to the 2000's. Time has become too important, and with time comes the pressure of being in fashion. Shoes demonstrate this by saying there are these badass new shoes and they are the shit. Thus getting the cool shoeshine with your new shoes makes you the shit. The song is saying society is wrong. Personality (music)= makes you a better person.
