It pisses me off that when you ask the average American what government they have, they almost always say democrasy. No, its a Constitutional Republic. If the government feels strongly enough against the people, your vote doesn't matter.
While Moore is against capitalism most occupy protesters are simply against corporatism, a cause with which we think tea partners would sympathize (since corporatism has decimated small business capitalism in this country) One person one vote right? Let's get both unions and corporations out of elections.
Oh my God. I would LOVE to see you try to set up this system. "Ok, you can work as much or as little as you want, and you will be taken care of. You will produce according to your means (or desires) and receive according to your needs. It will be a peaceful paradise of solitude where EVERYONE will be entitled to a year of paid vacation every year if they so choose and the rich will pay enough taxes that when all is said and done they have no more money than the average American. PARADISE!"
The system to replace capitalism does not exist yet, we will create it ??Can't think of a better example of arrogant, egocentric, left wing propoganda. It's as if the left feels they are the most advanced form of beings in the history of civilization.
@WildernessGuardians i don't mind that he's there, what i mind is that he doesn't even admit, recognize or acknowledge that he's super wealthy and part of the 1%
And they thought the Tea Party and Conservatives were crazy. Moore is absolutely insane. Amazing. Does he actually think, he can produce a new economic system?! He is nowhere near as smart as Marx and company and look at how wrong they were. And no, this isn't a democracy, IT'S A REPUBLIC!!!!
They need to occupy the state universities. State universities are gang stalking targeted students who are not ultra loyal. State universities trick students into taking out loans and into getting degrees that a lot jerk employers refuse to value. Racism and homophobia is rampant at state universities. The university system is a complete lie that must be exposed and rebuked in protest.
For all u guys saying that Michael Moore is part of the 1% realize this: the problem is not simply that the rich is rich, its that the top 1% richest Americans OWNS nearly ALL the means of production therefore basically CONTROLLING the entire country! We are goddamn MORE centrally planned than Russia! Look around your rooms, nearly everything you see has been created in a plan by the capitalist with exploited labour...with only the intention of profit in mind....
check out the American penny ......e.pluribus unum..... i think it means out of many...one...finally 'we the people' means something...once the people see their power...watch out ...........all for one one for all...i am glad my American friends have caught on at last!
the banksters are pushing now for another war with Iran to divert attention from wall street occupiers, they are shitting in their pants their house of cards may start crumbling, Im sure they will do everything they can to stay in power, things could get bloody. Lets hope for the best and prepare for the worst, the war has begun and remember United we stand divided we fall. God bless those souls that fight for our freedom!
It isn't capitalism: it's fascism, by the very definition - a subversion of political interests to those of corporatism. Both parties are bought and sold; both parties are culpable in destroying the economy. We need to get average citizens who see political office as a means to an end, not a career or a way to get their lobbying dollars. We need citizens willing to serve and then let others take their place. The entrenched establishment must be uprooted and destroyed.
@UponInfinity Just as the right likes to say there was only type of socialism, namely the Soviet model, I would say there has only been one type of capitalism. The state has always been used as a tool to manage capitalism and ensure its stability. When democracy and the people step forward, capitalism recedes. People are social animals, morality and human sympathy trump the bonds of selfish economics. How can you liberate capitalism from the state when the capitalists themselves run the state?
if you think the economical elites and the military industry and their private media are going to welcome the people to come in and reorganize things you are dreaming. there is a reason why u.s bombs rain over other countries around the world, any action that threatens their interests will get run over, military if necessary. so you people better get organised.
CIA Trained Anderson Cooper is Projecting , wanting to give impression the movement isn't going anywhere , "where does it go " .." About that "one vote" of which Michael Moore speaks. Don't forget Republican-connected firms are operating many electronic voting machines. I, for one, will feel like my vote counts when we return to paper ballots.
Gov. Michael Moore of California lambasts the elite Mafia Croney Capitalists with a verbalized truths! lol
What he says, I remember and I have seen: the old style capitalism was less greedy, and so nonone blinked an eye as money was reinvested back into the national economic mainstreet market, instead of constipated trillions stuck up deep somewhere in the neurotic bears of wall street.
It's got to plop out soon! That is when the next US boom will be also benfitting world. It needs abit of lube
@LoveIsNotNotLove ..and the bear a swift kick in the ass from a foot coming from down under, the midddleclass's huge unified foot kicking the football off for the New Game to start, which we the 99% will kick off, and not wait to the yes men in congress to wait for a phonecall allowing them to do this or that from their overlord(s) G Sach, JPM-CM ect on Wall St.
Moore is absolutely right on the money, hit the nail on the head: Congress are their servant boys! lulz, but here we come! ha ha ha!
Why is film maker Michael Moore the spokesman for the protesters? He's making a documentary about this now so he can get even richer. Maybe he should donate the proceeds from the documentary to help fund the movement if he feels so passionate about it. He is the 1%. Also, he's trying to project ideas of "forming a democratic government which could take a year, or two, or three, to come to fruition. His bank is funded by the fed's money, you really think he wants to end the fed?
@ijustwannaphish good work, keep it up! Ending the fed is the only way to get the country back. I fully understand the movement and where it wants to go. Michael Moore is fake and he only adds confusion to the movement. He's there for all the wrong reasons.
I see lots of 20 somethings in the occupy videos. I feel for them because this is the end of the debt supercycle, they will not be able to enjoy the prosperity that was the united states. I disbelieve that OWS will do anything to improve the lives of americans even if they were successful beyond their wildest dreams. There is no there there.
@llothar68 You are an uninformed BIGOT! Libertarians are not religious morons! I am a libertarian, and I am not religious! Ron Paul is religious, but does not wish to impose his religious views on anyone else. Libertarianism is ALL ABOUT Freedom of speech! You are free to believe whatever the hell you want. Get informed about Libertarianism, instead of having a knee-jerk, idiotically bigoted response. Returning the power to the local govt.'s means the PEOPLE have the power!!
@ijustwannaphish: Your believe in free market is religious dogma. Free markets and capitalism do not work and that have been proofed many times. The less regulations the more crimes and unfair competition. You do completely ignore this because it is your unquestionable God. You are morons.
@llothar68 The free market has not been tried and failed. We do not have free markets. Ron Paul is an enemy to the corporations because he wants to END the age of corporatism. There isn't "more crimes and unfair competition" with less regulation, as you say, because the COURTS protect ALL of us against the Tyranny of ANY majority. We need to end corporate personhood in our courts. Our courts gained us our civil rights, not our legislature. Our equal human rights are upheld by our courts.
@llothar68 There are separation of powers between the branches of our government for a reason. Healthy checks and balances by our courts can and will prevent the abuses you believe would exist.
Could you name one example of unfair competition because of a pure free market? Because there never was one, ever. Americans had a small taste of it, and experienced the greatest economic boom ever. Anyways, other forms of economic structures are not fair also, like corporate capitalism, socialism. There is never a perfect world. So you are the moron.
@videomakerman1232 Yet you hold out for some supposed pure capitalist form that never existed? When did this "pure free market" exist? The 18th century? So was slavery pure free market? There were myriad market interventions. The 19th century? There were interventions then as well.
Nope, nobody had a perfectly pure market. Slavery is not free market, it's backed by the government and forced labor. I mean the period after 1890 had a relatively pure free market. Before 1913 of course when the progressives took office. That was when the free market started to end. BTW that was called the guilded age.
@videomakerman1232 Response 1: Your first sentence was correct. The free market has NEVER existed in this country. The period between 1890 to 1913 was not at all "a relatively pure free market." It was a period of marked government involvement on behalf of corporations; look up the Pullman Strike of 1894, the Colorado Labor Wars,1903-4, the Ludlow Massacre, 1914. It was in part our collective national disgust at the treatment of these working folk that ushered in the Progressive Era.
@OccupyIdeas Response 2: In all of those instances, state and federal executives sent in troops - regular army and national guard - on behalf of the corporations. This is well-known US history. It's amazing that people can just gloss over it when discussing "the free market." To learn about your gilded age (before those bastard progressives started to impose their draconian regulations) look up the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire.
@OccupyIdeas yes, its government corruption handing out riches and then making the rest of us live by the capitalist rule. If they followed it as well might not be where we are.
@OccupyIdeas well said! I would only add that in a free market the government is neutral. But in the 19th century the government not only supplied large-scale security for private firms - even when those firms were breaching contracts - it also subsidized their operations. J.P. Morgan's railroad empire, for instance, would have been nothing without millions of acres of free land grants. Fed to bank at 0%, bank to us at 6%. That's a subsidy. It was the same with railroads in the 19th century.
Moore is just a media whore trying to gather national attention in order to sell his latest fantasy book. He doesn't give a rat'a ass about the occupiers and has no solid solution for whatever it is these people are protesting. He's part of the problem with misleading information. ANY rally can gain national attention but few of them are successful unless there is solid, positive sollutions to fix the problems. Moore always relies on the misguided to further his own campain--his projects!
I think the greed is way to much. just yesterday chevron oil declared a Net not gross profit for the 3rd quarter of over 7 Billion . with less demand for oil product. . no that is the greed Capitalizm that is in your face everyday.
I can tell you that when the richest were taxed w/progressive rate, they kept their money INSIDE the company. They knew that they would lose most of the cash in taxes, so they left it in.
By leaving their money in the company--the company had lots of cash to run smoothly.
No one is talking about how certain majors in college should not have to take out student loans.......for example, Social Work!!! Why would anybody want to be a Social Worker and take out student loans? Education is something we should pay for in taxes!!!
kick all the leaders out of washington. all of them. none of them is for the people, nor by the people. 400 billionaires. they make jobs. congress, presidents etc, they kill jobs and send them overseas, because they get a big pay check from china and the saudi arabians!
remember those 400 billionaires many were once broke, and now they are creating jobs. its the folks in washington that sold us all out, they pocketed everything they could and outsourced your jobs. not the people who are opening back up places in the USA to here people here. that is the beauty of democracy. the other beauty is in the Declaration of Indepence, we can throw out our government leaders if they don't do their job and replace them with the original ideals that we built this country on
Any body noticed the black homy to the right of Michael Moore wearting the black cap and a scarve.. everybody already saw his face, and then at the very end, he decides to cover his face... what a dumbass!
One way to change things is to put pressure on Congress to cap Credit Card Interest Rates. Banks are absorbing more wealth and keeping the middle class from increasing their standard of living because of high credit card interest rates.
The working poor can't support there families on what they are paid. The Republican and Democrats don't support the peoples best interests. The working poor do not have Health Care like they do in Europe. This version of America is not one that functions and produces a good way of life for the majority, it serves a wealthy minority "The 1%". America is not the same as it once was, it has become a Police State and a facist Capitolistic Corptacrocy!!!
Libertarians: remember that all of these problems starting getting worse as government did more and more deregulating and undoing of the protections that were put in place after the great depression. So yeah governement is the problem now because it did the bidding of big business and let it run wild. It needs to be reined in again.
That's completely false. Big businesses have their feet put to the fire once regulations are made because the best regulations are from the free market. A big business is freed from competition with regulation because it in effect kills the small businesses.
The Great Depression was from the federal reserve printing money and making credit bubbles, not from government regulations.
@videomakerman1232 "Great Depression was from the federal reserve printing money and making credit bubbles."
False.
Since the regulations were put in the place(1933), no market crash from risky investment took place until 2008, while Fed kept printing money just the same as always.
Why market crash didn't happen between 1933-2008?
What caused crash of 2008? Fed printing money again?
The crash of 2008 was a correction to the bubbles.
And you must not forget the depressions that were fixed by the free market, because many people just ignore them. You know why? because there aren't really any major depressions in a free market that has no government reguilations. You can achieve regulations by the market.
There was a huge depression during 1921 more major than 2008 but the government kept out of the way and we recovered in a year.
@videomakerman1232 WTF are you talking about moron? if you want a completely *FREE MARKET* go to Somalia and try your luck there asshole...they have no govt regulations at all, hell they got no GOVT so you'd LOVE it there...and while you set up shop to make your little videos the *unregulated* free marketeers will come along and cut your head off and take your video equipment, cuz FREE MARKETS RULE! you're just one MORE mentally retarded Repiglickin moron spewing non-sense out your orifice...
"What's the name of regulation became law in 1933 that was preventing market crash like the one in 1929 to happen again, then repealed in 2000 lead to 2008 crash?"
If you want to make an argument, have some basic knowledge first.
"What's the name of regulation became law in 1933 that was preventing market crash like the one in 1929 to happen again, then repealed in 2000 lead to 2008 crash?"
No. You have a lack of knowledge because you never knew what caused this mess in the first place. And if you think gov't regulation helps the people, name one that does.
There are so many regulations to name from, because people in Washington are writing stacks and stacks of them. I represent the small businesses that were rooted out because of regulations.
You must first realize that your opinion is based on very little knowledge.
Where do you get such strong opinion without the info. to back it up?
(Because) your opinion is not really yours but borrowed from someone else, most likely Schiff and Paul without critical review. It's pretty much the same way religion works. It's faith based.
Well, economics is something that isn't so solid. Also, it's not faith based. It's common sense. You don't argue your point, you just keep drilling on my point.
Of course I do. The great depression was caused by the Fed printing money and making credit bubbles. What the act did was prevent other banks from competing with the Fed by expanding the Fed's power.
@videomakerman1232 Actually there was a major depression during that time period that was very serious. Try googling The Depression of 1893. Capitalism is a system that crashes and burns periodically, despite what it's worshipers like to think. wiki/List_of_recessions_in_the_United_States
@GoDrex@GoDrex NO, No, and No. All these problem began under Ronald Reagan when government opted out of regulation and let Wall Street become a gambling casino, and the repeal of provisions of the Glass–Steagall Act by the Gramm–Leach–Bliley Act in 1999 effectively removed the separation that previously existed between investment banking which issued securities and commercial banks which accepted deposits. Wall Street removed over 13 trillion dollars from the middle class' pockets- Crooks.
The lawmakers don't uphold the constitution. They are payed off to pass laws that favor the "capitalists". Or give them grants, guaranteed loans, exemptions or any form of corporate welfare. Nowhere in the costitution does it give authority for congress to do these things. Restore our constitutional republic.Yo
When Moore was prompted to respond to Peter Schiff's comment, he had literally nothing to say. "Oh wow. What a disconnect. Anything I'd say would be too mean." Moore didn't have any intellectual argument at all. None.
democracy in american seem to be about who spends the most money,,,americans have got the big chance next elections and vote against traditional big business republicans and democrats, , americans also think we all got mad socialism here in europe,.but money and power, is not as much a god in europe as in the usa,.
The elections are fixed. Your democracy is an illusion. They are trying to abolish the first, second, and fourth amendment. We need these. We should abolish the fourteenth amendment. Obama is the most pro-banker anti-citizen we have ever had. He will continue to try to pass the dream act and usher in votes from the illegals.
Still believe elections matter but think we need to take a hard look at who we are electing. It needs to start from the bottom. Us progressives need to elect other progressives for local, state & congress. If a democrat is not being progressive in what they do than we need to find a candidate who will in primary elections. If you don't vote than the other side wins & nothing will change. Change is not going to happen with protest alone. It is an excellent start, but not enough.
OWS, and their supporters, need to constantly repeat this message... that we don't want to overthrow our economic system, or stray from Democracy. We want our country to be a true Democratic system, and not rigged in favor of the few at the expense of the many, as 2011 capitalism 'is'.
Hopefully this will help calm the paranoia on the right, that this is some mass socialist takeover. I think it's something we all can agree on.
The modern capitalism system we have can be better defined as crony capitalism. It is clear that government by the government for the government is nurtured and kept well nourished by bureaucrats being able to create jobs for their friends and family in order to get re-elected or re-appointed. The leaders we have in government today are fully involved in keeping their jobs and getting a raise and that is all. After three years the President was paid $1.2M by the taxpayers. $1100 per day.
Peter S is an idiot and must have had his head up his ass for a least five years. Either that or he has been paid to redirect the protests as some kind of elite's problem solver like the Wag the Dog movie.
I like how Moore doesn't blame politicians but I bet he will be quick to blame republicans and support democrats. If those politicians are bought and paid for then how about someone else run and Moore funds their compaign? Simple. Lots of people can run for office they just don't because they just want a handout. And Moore complains about overworked people. Those companies can't afford to pay their employees more. They would if they could but they can't. They want happy, healthy employees.
@whyamimrpink78 Ppl don't want to run for office because they don't want to be threatened & ruined by these sociopaths who will do whatever it takes to control things. These people are worse than ruthless & many people know they and their families just can't cope with that kind of evil in their lives. As for companies can't afford to pay their employees. What are you talking about? Rich corporations have destroyed earning power with outsourcing to third world nations killing disposable income.
@Textynn These people are afraid of their lives being ruined but have no problem ruining others. The fact is is that they don't want to work. They just want a handout which is why they don't run for any office.
@whyamimrpink78 just stop with your "they don't want to work" bullshit. The people are rising up because NO ONE is working for the people! Our gov't is bought and paid for, corporations are people and some people still push the "lazy people" crap. Give it up as you're sounding like a troll.
@whyamimrpink78 That statement is total crap. What planet are you living on. Of course these ppl want to work. Jobs are being outsources by the millions monthly. Many millions of jobs have left our shores. Employers like Walmart have pushed wages down to below living wages which affects pay across the board, even professional pay. The lie that people just want a handout is heinous in these times when it is a known statistical fact that we have less than one job for every six unemployed ppl.
I like how more wants to take money away from people who actually invest it and progress us in technology, health care, education, etc. and give that money to people who would just waste it. People, we control the economy more then what you think. Be smart with your money and stop electing politicians(mainly democrats) that just give money away.
@whyamimrpink78 Boy are you uninformed. What kind of snob classist thinks only the elite are responsible for technology, health care, and education. And to say that others with money would waste it is beyond contemptuous. MOst of the rich don't do anything but speculate and play the stock market. MHI is nothing but a billing service middle man parasite.
Who gives money away? Rethugs started this bail out crap, the wars which are nothing but giveaways to the for profit war industry and Wall St
@Textynn No, I think a democrat control congress started the bailout considering how the control and set the budget. Bush made the mistake of passing it instead of vetoing it. Big businesses advance us in technology. How many middle class workers you know create super computers or smart phones? Those companies invest in research to create better more affordable technology. The pocket calculator use to cost over $300 but now my TI-84 was around $100......
That's because your pocket calculator is now made in China or some other 3rd world country by a 17 year old kid working 18 hours a day for a wage that wouldn't even buy a snotty kid a happy meal here in America...
@Textynn .....Wisely investing money creates jobs and progress man. Just giving away with government programs like health care and welfare ruins the economy. It creates an unpredictable flow of money that makes businesses afraid to invest and hurt small businesses. Big businesses can afford to cut back on jobs and benefits, small ones can't. Big businesses want to create jobs and benefits to have a happy and healthy economy, the fed. govern. is preventing that.
@whyamimrpink78 . . . It's amazing that anyone would believe the dishonest Republican infomercials known as Fox News and "talk radio" and accept their lying points.
@JEFF9K I don't watch fox news, I can't afford it because I don't get a government check to by frivolous things. I don't listen to talk radio because I have to actually work for a living and don't have time to listen to it. And how often do you watch fox news or talk radio? You are so quick to criticize it but I bet you never even listen to those programs before, you are just basing your opinion on what other people say.
@whyamimrpink78 There is no discernible difference between Dems and Repubs. Currently, the Repubs operate as a plant at an auction pushing up the bid for the Dem seller. No one is fooled but the weakest of minds.
So he thinks we have to make our own way of running the country? I thought we were just trying to get back to the old ways of capitalism... I want to support OWS but they still haven't found a clear concise reason it's happening; meaning, what exactly they want done. I don't want to be a part of a movement with no clear purpose.
@jjcatful except he is talking mostly about billionaires and if you didnt have such prejudice and ignorance you would know he gave 2 million dollars away from his first movie for which he got 3 mil. Besides, people went to see his movies, he didnt steal any money, he made a product. Wall street doesnt produce anything, they just cause damage by getting rich, speculating on food prices, causing people in poor countries to starve, educate yourself.

UponInfinity 3 months ago

His bank is funded by the fed's money, you really think he wants to end the fed?

ijustwannaphish 3 months ago
@ijustwannaphish: Your believe in free market is religious dogma. Free markets and capitalism do not work and that have been proofed many times. The less regulations the more crimes and unfair competition. You do completely ignore this because it is your unquestionable God. You are morons.
llothar68 3 months ago
@llothar68 The free market has not been tried and failed. We do not have free markets. Ron Paul is an enemy to the corporations because he wants to END the age of corporatism. There isn't "more crimes and unfair competition" with less regulation, as you say, because the COURTS protect ALL of us against the Tyranny of ANY majority. We need to end corporate personhood in our courts. Our courts gained us our civil rights, not our legislature. Our equal human rights are upheld by our courts.
ijustwannaphish 3 months ago
@llothar68 There are separation of powers between the branches of our government for a reason. Healthy checks and balances by our courts can and will prevent the abuses you believe would exist.
ijustwannaphish 3 months ago
@llothar68
Could you name one example of unfair competition because of a pure free market? Because there never was one, ever. Americans had a small taste of it, and experienced the greatest economic boom ever. Anyways, other forms of economic structures are not fair also, like corporate capitalism, socialism. There is never a perfect world. So you are the moron.
videomakerman1232 3 months ago
@videomakerman1232 Yet you hold out for some supposed pure capitalist form that never existed? When did this "pure free market" exist? The 18th century? So was slavery pure free market? There were myriad market interventions. The 19th century? There were interventions then as well.
citizen0anonymous 3 months ago
@citizen0anonymous
Nope, nobody had a perfectly pure market. Slavery is not free market, it's backed by the government and forced labor. I mean the period after 1890 had a relatively pure free market. Before 1913 of course when the progressives took office. That was when the free market started to end. BTW that was called the guilded age.
videomakerman1232 3 months ago
@videomakerman1232 Response 1: Your first sentence was correct. The free market has NEVER existed in this country. The period between 1890 to 1913 was not at all "a relatively pure free market." It was a period of marked government involvement on behalf of corporations; look up the Pullman Strike of 1894, the Colorado Labor Wars,1903-4, the Ludlow Massacre, 1914. It was in part our collective national disgust at the treatment of these working folk that ushered in the Progressive Era.
OccupyIdeas 3 months ago 3
@OccupyIdeas Response 2: In all of those instances, state and federal executives sent in troops - regular army and national guard - on behalf of the corporations. This is well-known US history. It's amazing that people can just gloss over it when discussing "the free market." To learn about your gilded age (before those bastard progressives started to impose their draconian regulations) look up the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire.
OccupyIdeas 3 months ago 4
@OccupyIdeas yes, its government corruption handing out riches and then making the rest of us live by the capitalist rule. If they followed it as well might not be where we are.
subieslow 3 months ago
@OccupyIdeas well said! I would only add that in a free market the government is neutral. But in the 19th century the government not only supplied large-scale security for private firms - even when those firms were breaching contracts - it also subsidized their operations. J.P. Morgan's railroad empire, for instance, would have been nothing without millions of acres of free land grants. Fed to bank at 0%, bank to us at 6%. That's a subsidy. It was the same with railroads in the 19th century.

That's completely false. Big businesses have their feet put to the fire once regulations are made because the best regulations are from the free market. A big business is freed from competition with regulation because it in effect kills the small businesses.
The Great Depression was from the federal reserve printing money and making credit bubbles, not from government regulations.
videomakerman1232 3 months ago
@videomakerman1232 "Great Depression was from the federal reserve printing money and making credit bubbles."
False.
Since the regulations were put in the place(1933), no market crash from risky investment took place until 2008, while Fed kept printing money just the same as always.
Why market crash didn't happen between 1933-2008?
What caused crash of 2008? Fed printing money again?
allgoo19 3 months ago
@allgoo19

I give you more hint.
In 1999, Ron (deregulation is the solution) Paul was against the repeal of it.
It's a very well known regulation, in fact after the 2008 crash, re-enactment of it was the first thing discussed.
You must have been in a cave.
This is a good opportunity for you to learn real info.
So, what was the name.?
allgoo19 3 months ago
@allgoo19
No. You have a lack of knowledge because you never knew what caused this mess in the first place. And if you think gov't regulation helps the people, name one that does.
There are so many regulations to name from, because people in Washington are writing stacks and stacks of them. I represent the small businesses that were rooted out because of regulations.

@GoDrex @GoDrex NO, No, and No.

@Textynn .....Wisely investing money creates jobs and progress man. Just giving away with government programs like health care and welfare ruins the economy. Death to godless Republican economics!

@JEFF9K Amazing how it was democrats and their economic policy of just give money away that ruined us.
whyamimrpink78 3 months ago
@whyamimrpink78 . . . It's amazing that anyone would believe the dishonest Republican infomercials known as Fox News and "talk radio" and accept their lying points.
JEFF9K 3 months ago
@JEFF9K I don't watch fox news, I can't afford it because I don't get a government check to by frivolous things. I don't listen to talk radio because I have to actually work for a living and don't have time to listen to it. And how often do you watch fox news or talk radio? You are so quick to criticize it but I bet you never even listen to those programs before, you are just basing your opinion on what other people say.
whyamimrpink78 3 months ago
@whyamimrpink78 There is no discernible difference between Dems and Repubs. Currently, the Repubs operate as a plant at an auction pushing up the bid for the Dem seller. No one is fooled but the weakest of minds.

Michael Moore IS the 1%. To be a 1% you must make over $380,354 a year. Donate to the cause bro. Become a 99%.

The whole of public life and works are a "donation to the cause" and a highly substantial one at that.

So he thinks we have to make our own way of running the country? I thought we were just trying to get back to the old ways of capitalism... I want to support OWS but they still haven't found a clear concise reason it's happening; meaning, what exactly they want done. I don't want to be a part of a movement with no clear purpose.

What he meant was capitalism + corporate person hood = crony capitalism and fascism. And this shit has got to go.

Moore is the 1%.....When the rain comes this whore will be in his 3 million dollar loft.He is the perfect example of the left wing phoney's.
jjcatful 3 months ago
@jjcatful except he is talking mostly about billionaires and if you didnt have such prejudice and ignorance you would know he gave 2 million dollars away from his first movie for which he got 3 mil. Besides, people went to see his movies, he didnt steal any money, he made a product. Wall street doesnt produce anything, they just cause damage by getting rich, speculating on food prices, causing people in poor countries to starve, educate yourself.

@jjcatful Spoken like a person who has swallowed the right wing, corporatist media's lies whole.
Stop watching Fox and listening to Rush. All you'll get from them is comforting lies to sooth that little non-inquisitive brain of yours.
