The Qur'an which brought forth words of respect, devotion to God, modesty, racial equality, and scientific knowledge was the miracle that the Prophet Muhammad(saw) brought to his people. He never said love your enemies, but he said to make peace whenever you can. You can't argue that sometimes fighting to protect innocents and the ones you love is the right thing to do.
