My hamsters were 2y and 1month when they died, they were both male and the died in the same week... I guess they couldnt live without each other, they also used to sleep alot but i start looking around and i didnt saw them durin the day and at night i didnt even ear then so it was strange... some days latter i saw 1 and the other was dead 2 days after that the other died 2

hey, some hamsters sleep night and day. they only get up to eat, and you should never disturb an animal when its eating. that means you HAVE to wake them up sometimes. its bad for them to be kept in a cage all the time. Not just because it makes them less friendly, its also bad for their health.

i read somewhere hamsters dont like sudden awakenings (neither do people..) as you can see, this was hardly a quick awakening.

Nah, when I had my hamster when I was younger he never bit me at all. I could pick him up with a mouth full of food and he still wouldn't bite. The only time he bit me was when I spooked him while holding him.

But other then that my hamster was never aggressive Other's might be yeah because my cousins old hamster bit me and was real mean. . But not all hamsters are aggressive.

You know it is stress to Hamsters to be woken up all the time! And also it is cruelty to not have a small house and as it looks to be there is not enough litter in the cage because hamsters are supposed to build small tubes in the litter if they don't have a house.

My hamster Grafitte is just like this one. She sleeps night and day. Sometimes I have to wake her up to give her medicine (Her vet prescribed eye drops for her otitis) and she takes forever. Of course I cannot just grab her. That hamster only took so long to wake up because it is accustomed to its master touch. I doubt this master is cruel.
