Rajkumar almost subdued all the rest of the actors in Waqt. He was superb in other films where he played supporting roles. But he was horrible where he played the role of a Hero. If some one has seen Karmyogi where he played a double role, he would know what I mean.

Meena Kumari's acting suffered a serious jolt after her accident. One can see here she is forced to play Sitar with one hand without changing the notes just to hide her left hand. The hand shown in the start is someone else's.

Meena Kumari's character has to marry another foresaking her lover to save her father. Husband developes cancer and she brings him to her Nursing home where her former lover is the chief doctor. Can she trust him to save her husband, or will he let the husband die to get her? Husband comes to know of her past but still trusts the doctor. He tells his wife to remarry the doctor should he die. Remake by CV Sridhar of his Tamil hit Nenjil Orr Aalayam, made in about a week

Meena on the other hand never failed to mesmerize me and millions of others. Just look at her acting-- emotions pouring out of her entire being and lodging in the heart of the viewer.
