Some republicans want all US forces out of Europe and keep that money in the United States. That would be really nice economically for the USA but really abysmal for international security and comradeship. If Russia builds a huge military perceives the EU as a threat to their national security and EU members had to spend 900 billion Euros on defense budgets that would cut into you're health care budgets across the board all over Europe.

Even former Soviet satellites ran NATO meetings in their country. Croatia, Albania, Ukraine & Georgia recently had been invited membership. American missile defense shield in Poland & Czech expected fully operational by 2015 capable of covering most of Europe to protect Europeans. In other words thats our money & our economy sucks.

I believe the missile defence shield is meant to put pressure on Russia & Iran and not really to protect Europe. Again, how often after the Second World War has America cared for other parts of Europe except britain if it wasn't for it's own interests? In this days you're mostly putting pressure on our governments to pass legislation against stuff you don't like... such as "piracy on the net..."

Itenrav If the missile defense shield is meant to protect Europe PERIOD also because our military armed force bases are spotted throughout the European Continent not England. America gave "Freedom" to Croatia and helped them to join NATO. Croatia it is not England and probably has no oil. I think helping Croatians help kept Europe secure.

Not really, no. 1st: it's likely we're getting a party or even government that stops this soon, because of the growing opinion against sweden housing many more immigrants than all the other nations. 2nd: when the Arab region has been stabilizied we're gonna get immigrants from other parts of the world... and many of those living here now will move back. It's a question of time when Russia and Brazil will have immigrants, but right now you have nothing to offer, you're a place to emigrate from, not to immigrate to. And btw, ever heard of science?
