Probably true, but other railroads/ surroundings are more my style. I like a casual, slow pace environment, and Jersey and New York are, no offense, a little brash and crass for me. Even my native Boston with anxiety, but I grew up with that railroad and so it's more like my home railroad, you know?
But basically, I don't think I'm street smart enough to be a good NJT conductor and I can't breathe in those areas. Makes sense? Again, not to offend.
So you get where I'm coming from. Amtrak would be the ideal railroad to work for, IMHO. Some bases being more ideal than others. I hear there are lots of beautiful spaces to get to in Jersey, though, like the quieter beaches, and the countryside. You probably only hate the metropolitan areas, eh? I don't think anyone really adores the cities of NJ.
Funny to see a European built locomotive working on an American railroad.
A very similar type of locomotive hauls freight from here in the Netherlands to Germany and further, and they also operate the InterCity service to Brussels... I see them here in Amsterdam all the time.
I think the train is either deadheading or decreasing speed to pull into Newark Penn safely. Those are the two possible explanations that it is going so slowly.
its a rumor going around saying that the new push pulls are bi-level push pulls have Traction motors attached to the axles just incase the loco breaksdown so that the train could finish its trip via a speed of 50 mph
Why do the new push pulls trains that new jersey transit have are starting to look like new MU's without pantographs lol they look like they can power themselves, i wont be surprised if i saw a traction motor on one those new push pull axles.
Good job! The multilevels are all over the corridor, the NJCL, the M&E line to Dover, and the RVL! They will soon prob take over the NJT system! Good video once again!
i dont get the nj transit the mta is better

Very musical. (Rythmic.) I'd like to be a conductor, but not for NJT.

I think the clacking of the wheels on the rails sounds a bit like drumming.
