  • Wtf. sitting the trot is easy for me!

  • 6 months?! well yeah! if you ride once a month LOL

  • Quiet riding, that is NOT!

  • jesus that trainer sucks .. shes moving her botton half legs ... keep them still behing u and keep ur heels down :/ .. for all begginers out their , THIS IS NOT A GOOD VIDEO ... they will teach you to do it not wrong but sloppy .....

  • It was ok but I hate whe people where spurs plus she isn't very good.

  • it breaks my heart to see people use spurs.. you say that you would never harm a horse, but yet you're stabbing him in the side with every step he takes! that's why i never EVER use spurs. theyre just cruel.

  • lady ur just humping the air... and spuring the horse

  • careful of the spurs,lady

  • I started out riding Western, and I feel like that really helped me to be able to have a strong sitting trot. You really have to have a nice rhythm and position to get a slow jog out of a Western horse, and I found it easy to transition to the faster trot on my hunters because I had already built up the muscles I needed.

  • I grew up teaching myself to ride and had taught myself to cling in a way that others would find ugly lol. I have to say that when I started learning to sit the trot, when my boss told me I was getting the hang of it I actually felt like I was moving around more and my whole body was more bouncy than how I normally rode. I had to build different muscles and have a much better trot posture now.. Anyway, I think the lady demonstrating is trying to exaggeratedly show how your muscles should move.

  • the trainer on the ground is great! However the rider needs to get her dang heels out of the horse!! and shes a little too floppy... your not suppose to go limp when u sit!! lol

  • lol, she looks wiggly, like a worm. Or like she has no bones or something.

  • She looks horrable when she sits the trot. So un natural Shes trying too hard

  • it took me one day to learn it...lol...not 6 months....

  • I have never seen anyone sit the trot like this. She's bumping and floppy thrusting her pelvis about. It's not normal. That's wierd!

  • I've been riding for weeks and I only learned how to walk and sit trot by now a rider with a good instructer would all ready be posting and cantering good thing I'm moving stables

  • @Ilovemodelhorses

No. that is not true. you need to perfect the gaits before you move on. you will find it is the same at all stables. Just have some patients. :)

  • @Ilovemodelhorses that is not true to canter you need your walk and trot mastered i have been riding for over 6 years and i only started cantering 2 years ago if you start to soon you will hurt your self and lose confadece. so take your time you will get there

  • @Ilovemodelhorses Not really.... Posting and cantering takes time. You need to know the basics like the back of your hand before advancing. I understand how you want to trot and canter asap, but for the long run it will help you. dont rush it. Good luck:)

  • Is it just me or are her stirrups too long? Sitting trot is all about being still in the saddle yes? And shes yanking the horses mouth, kicking every second and bouncing about like there's no tomorrow xD

  • sitting trot does NOT have to look like porn.

  • HaHa...you are ALL experts aren't you?....so typical and predictable.....

  • and omg wow she looks like she is humping the horse...i now how to do a sitting trot and its not like that lol

  • hey guys! i'm SUCH a beginner at riding, and i have a question! what's the difference between rising and posting trot? thanks for replying if u can.

  • @TigersUnleashed There the same just they can be called either it doesnt matter

  • i sat the trot the first time i rode. it was rising i couldn't get at first. kthanks

  • come on you guys are saying that her trot sitting is horrible

but let's face it, her posting is horrible too! lol

  • the assistant trainer is constantly kicking the horse... i understand that u have to keep the pressure but not by constantly kicking...

  • Ekkk, thats a assistant trainer..... I would suggest a winter of bareback riding for that chick

  • Okay, the way that chick rides does NOT resemble a snow flake landing. XD

  • My horse is very bouncy and I just recently learned how to sit trot without stirrups

  • The rider can't even do a proper rising trot....

  • I'm not trying to brag or anything, but it definitely does not take 6 months to learn to sit the trot because I learned how to do it in one day on a trail ride :\

  • If you watch her heel while she's posting you can see that when she sits, her heels come up, and when she rises her heels go down and her leg swings forward. I think this rider she do some leg stabilizing exercises before she even attempts a sitting trot.

  • Is it just me, or does the rider on the white horse look really floppy through her seat and legs? I get that your leg and seat shouldn't be immobile, but she looks like she has too much "flopping" through her leg and seat.

  • @friesianlover203 Exactly! My instructor would never let me ride like that and tell me that I was doing well! Her posting is pretty bad too, and she's balancing completely off her toes, instead of through her heels. :S

  • that rider cant do sitting trot to save her life !!!

  • @barrelhorserider7 i guess its the kind of riding i do and the fact that my horse is a mare and is evil and a stubborn morgan

  • she needs to keep her legs still

  • she needs to sort out her legs befor she trys anything else:L woah. she looks stupid.

  • i don't like to say bad things, but i do sitting trot bareback and i don't bounce that much :/

  • i sat the trot and my horse bucked me off so have fun

  • @asochack im guessing it wasnt the horses fault?...

  • I hate the way the rider rides.

  • i ride a very bumpy horse. and it is actually quite easy

  • Leave the horse alone with those legs! Every step the horse takes, it gets jabbed with the spurs! God!

  • do everything the rider isn't doing and you'll be good.

  • She's not very good......... Her legs are everywhere and it looks like she's plowing the saddle.

  • im advanced intermediate and heels arent down shaking so rapidly posting way too high this is just ridiculous

  • Mary Wanless would have a heart attack!!!

  • even im a begginer rider, but her heels arent even down and her leg is moving all of the place. plus her postion is REALLY akward! :o

  • first of all, im a beginner horseback ridr and even i notice her heel's aren't down and her legs are moving rapidly! i know your legs have to move, but not that much! :O plus her postion is really akward...

  • oh ya, also try putting your heel downs more

  • nice vid, i just have a piece of advice, you might want to tighten your calf muscles so that they are not flying back and forth on the horse's side, great vid though =)

  • At 1:20 I was watching the video calmly, and then I saw this sucky rider coming into the picture humping and spurring her horse and I was ROTFL :0D

  • @SkatesNSaddles LOOOOOOL.

  • Just sit on the horse and make it trot, that should do it. When I started trotting, I learnt to sit the trot, I didnt even post until a month later. Plus, it was in a WESTERN saddle.

  • Her foot moves A LOT at the sit trot!

  • i dont want to look like im humping the horse though

  • Ok, if I was that horse, she would have already been on the ground.

  • @lovetoride19 LOL

  • Ok, well when you're posting, your heels are supposed to be down, and your legs should be almost still. When your sitting the trot your legs are moving all over the place, and you're using your spurs too much. Just some things you should probably work on.. But other then that I think it's ok. :)

  • How much are horses?

  • @monicaloveshorses1 lots ov money

  • she needs to learn to have a steady leg, not squeese just steady so she dont kick with the spurs

  • 1:28-1:30 = FLOP!

  • fair enough go will the horse just dont do that !!!!!!!!!!! and stop faffing ur legs bout woman

  • Comment removed

  • She's flopping all over the place....

  • I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and say the horse's trot must be super uncomfortable....But God that looks bad, she's flopping all over the place.

  • .....the rider demonstrating is a really bad example of what your riding should look like, whether you are posting or sitting the trot.

  • I wasn't going to say anything...but wow. What the trainer is saying is true, except for the 6 months part. It's pretty easy to learn to sit the trot, but maybe that's just me. But they should have used a different rider to demonstrate this, cuz that girl looks horrible. Sitting trot does not mean you just let your body all loose and move all over the saddle. Wow...

  • when that girl sits she giggles haha

  • in sitting trot she humps the saddle lol

  • looks like porn

  • @mrssummit49 shes really humping the saddle.

  • thats a good horse!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thanks for the help :), I do have trouble keeping him slow because he has a very long fast trot.

  • wtffffs up with her legs? and why so much spur??

  • I cant I sit the trot on one of my horses but I can on the other, any suggestions?

  • @xxXcskipperXxx Make sure the horse you cant do it on doesnt do it fast only start of slow trot :) hope that helps :)

  • she looks sloppy, her hips and legs shouldnt move so much and her horse is going to stop responding to the spur if she uses them so often, leg first then spurs if needed its nicer on the horse

  • guys im not saying that she's amazing but i bet a lot of you are just jealous of her because you cant even ride that well....if she's soo bad why did you even watch this video??.....i bet most of you cant even walk properly on a horse

  • @happyhorse362 i think what's upseting ppl so much is how much her lower legs move and how often the spurs are used. People watching this video probably all seek the same: learn how to sit the trot, and when we look for advise we generaly seek from someone we can look up to, wich is kindda hard to do when seeing legs like that. Just my opinion anyway, I ride like crap, but I find it more important to keep the horse super leg sensitive than having a good posture cos I'm just a happy hacker.

  • @DJBelbe yeah i agree i just dont like how she spurs the horse and kicks it and then pulls it's head and the horse might think it's doing something wrong...i just dnt think she should move her lower leg at all

  • @happyhorse362 yeah, that's wa I was trying to say too. I usually worry more about keeping my lower legs still than anything else. Got that habbit from riding a mare who'll bolt or jump sideways at the slightest leg pressure! LOL.

  • @DJBelbe lol...the horse that i lease is still young and not finshed with training so it's really fun to ride because she has a lot of energy but when she gets spooked or something lets just say it's not fun lol

  • @happyhorse362 it's not the young factor, my mare is 10 years old! i think it's both genes and some training. My colt is full of energy, super sensitive yet never spooks! I started hacking out on traffic with him on his 3rd time under saddle! bless that little stallion to bits! my mare is a nightmare on the road...

  • I've been riding since my last summer holidays, im now in october (i live in england) and im already rising trot off a lead. it's not that hard tbh... (not trying to gloat)

  • I have only been going horse riding like a month and only learnt to do the up trot but my instuctor said i had a beautiful sitting trot and i didn't even know i was doing it :L

  • I'm sorry but this is just awfull... And omg the way that she humps her horse...

  • you don't have to kick your horse when you wear spur in every step .at least thats what i learned.

  • omg @HoldYourHorses26 . Your comment just made my day!!!!

  • 6 moths wtf! i learned in two days!

  • Can i use some of ur vids?

    I'll send you al link!

    x

  • I learned how to trot sitting, not posting so I like to sit it more, actually!

  • If you have strength in your abdomen, the sitting trot isn't a herculean task. This rider needs to quiet her legs and stop exaggerating the movement quite so much, she looks like she's in a bestiality porn.

  • I just sat in the saddle and that was it, I didn't need six months for that?

And i sit a lot stiller that her, she is so wobbly..

  • @xDesrosiersable i no right!!! her legs are kicking him on EVERY stride.

  • I'm sorry I can't ignore her legs it was bothering me not to b mean but she shud keep her feet still at all times and that wasn't happening srry if I sound mean I'm not trying to

  • If speaking seriously - this is not bad example of a nice sitting trot, perhaps excluding the loose legs. The rider is nicely following the movement of the horse (which appears to be quite "jumpy"). I bet 90% of the commentators who criticized the rider would sit stiff restricting movements of the horse terribly.

  • To those who "learned" sitting trot in 5 minutes - did your horse agree to that, or this was just YOUR arbitrary judgement? :D

  • That is most definitely NOT how to sit to the trot! Sorry!

  • Sitting a trot isn't hard at all, also, you're assistant doesn't know how to properly ride.

Her heels should be down and she bounces around too much.

  • what is she doing with her thighs , i ride english in england and noone i know does that

  • Oh my word....this girl absolutely cannot ride.

  • she is wrong. this is not hard at all. When i first started a did a sitting trot before a posting trot. and i can post perfect soo se is wrong!!!!!

  • 6 months?! Yeah right!!! I have a difficult horse to sit and I taught myself within 5 min.!!!!! That's also one of the worst sitting trots I've ever seen!!! She's also KICKING that poor mare in the sides!!

  • She needs to work on how to sit on a horse, let alone do a sitting trot :L

  • uff..

  • Why the hell is she constantly banging the sides of the horse? That looks stupid..

  • Looks like someones got a problem "down" there.

  • *dies laughing* honestly....

  • that horse is a SAINT for taking that much spur and not bucking her off and trampling her to death. (i ride a super green horse so i have to think about that stuff :P haa)

  • i just laughed so much, this is rediculous! xD

  • i definitely dont look like that ! omg ! that itsnt sitting trot !

  • I definately don't look like that when I sit my trot. LOL

  • ..I always get really nice marks(8's and 9's) on my tests for my position and in my sitting trots, and I certainly look nothing like this.. o.O She looks like she's humping the horse, not moving with him. And all she's doing is using her spurs to make the horse go. Plus, wtf is up to her leg and heel when she's sitting? o.O

  • what the..

  • Thumbs up if you're the 20,000th viewer :)

  • All I saw is a lady spurring the hell out of her horse.

  • This is NOT how to sit to the trot! She is 'driving with the seat, so both seatbones are shovelling back and forth together. The horses back moves in two halves, not one piece, and thankfully the Good Lord made the human rear end in two halves too. Put two and two together, in sync and you make one. Put two and two together out of sync, and you get this. The rider is too upright in rising trot, and is then having to pump her pelvis to catch up with the movement.

  • Betcha her panties are soaking wet after that ride!

  • @0Mrblaze0 How many times did you cum?

  • Comment removed

  • No offence but it's easier to learn by riding without stirrups. Something my instructor loves, we spend about twenty minutes on it every lesson. But then again what do I know...?

  • hummmm though the lower leg was soposed to be still

  • I rode my first horse yesterday and I SAT the trot it was really easy I don't know what this persons saying..

  • @dluvpups2010 most of the time it depends on the horse coz my horse is realy realy bouncy makes it very difficult to do sitting trot were as my mums horse hes nice and smooth which makes it quite easy

and by the way this isnt the way ive been taught its better to practice first with no stirrups because you legs are nice and long and not quite shure what the woman on the horse is doing with her lower leg but it made me lol

  • @dluvpups2010 It's easy for me to sit the trot to, but I don't do it correctly. My upper body has way to much movement and I can't keep my hands still. Just because it's easy, doesn't mean you're doing it right. i bet you if you uploaded a video of you sitting the trot, it would be totally off.

Now back to this rider. What is she doing with her leg at the posting and sitting trot? XD

  • Okay I haven't even been riding that long and even I know that your legs and feet aren't supposed to move. She's constantly kicking the horse!

  • she cant do it properly! u have to keep your back straight, dont move your feet, and try to sit STILL!

  • i don't even know hwo to trot a horse can someone tell me how?

  • I've never rode a horse before but I'm about to ...does it really take that long to learn to trot? I hope not!

  • Don't worry it took me 9 months to sit the trot but my horse never cooperates with that!

  • @strikeliger7

Thank you. I feel a little better now. I hope I'm gonna learn that one day. :) Thank you for your help.

  • I don't know how to sit the trot. I bounce alot and my trainer told me I have to learn to be relaxed in the saddle, or something like that. Will I ever learn how to sit the trot? How long it takes to learn how to sit the trot? I really need 6 months to learn that? :O

  • she is a very busy rider she does not look smooth at all. She looks like she is trying way to hard, she is not relaxed....her lower leg is also so busy. Sorry but this really is not a good sitting trot.

  • No disrespect to the rider, but that is not a good demonstration of correct sitting trot position. The rider is in a 'chair' seat, and not stable in the upper body or lower leg. The inside hip should also be forward and the upper body open to the inside of the circle, with stable outside aids.

  • i dont really want to look like im humping my horse my dad walked in and asked what the hell am i watching i said how to do sitting trot he said that isnt sitting trot is humping .

  • In defense of the rider, this is obviously a well trained dressage horse who is actually swinging through his back. That is a much 'bigger' trot to sit than say, a QH. I would say that yes, the legs are a bit too loose but she is doing an excellent job of following the horse's movement and NOT restricting him...a lot of riders can't do the same. And her hands are soft and following. Notice how he is never pulled backwards or loses the rhythm.

  • I'm sorry but that woman is really not very good at riding sitting trot.

  • My husband called this pony porn! And he’s really not comfortable with me wanting to do this in public! :-)

  • i think she's getting more exercise then the horse

  • 6 months to learn it? Im not perfect at it but I learnt sit trotting in 2 lessons! 2 hours! haha Im glad to say I look better then that

  • @NaturalRiders I'm still getting it right, and I've only had 2 lessons! But it's kinda uncomfortable.

  • @starscreaml0ver But Im sure you look better then this video? :) It is still for me to at times hah

  • One question: What if I DON'T want to look like I'm humping my horse?

  • @HoldYourHorses26 omg lol you just have to ignor that if your gonna rid good. bwahahahahahahahahahah!!!!

  • @HoldYourHorses26 Many women DO find sexual relief from sitting the trot, often in a deep, close-contact saddle, so they have told me.

  • @HoldYourHorses26 Nothing disrespectful to those in the video BUT, that is what it looks like--like she's attempting to achieve an orgasm on horseback. Jusy sayin'!

  • @HoldYourHorses26 Firstly your comment was hilarious, and secondly I see two problems as to why she appears to be grinding around on her horse. Her leg is not engaged at all, its dangling around like a hook on a fishing lure. If she sat up properly and put some energy into her leg, pressing down through her hip to the ball of her foot then her pelvis which is bouncing away would be a lot quieter and she would be able to grip with her whole leg and hot just her quad as she is doing here.

  • @HoldYourHorses26 You pull them back with your heels down.

  • @HoldYourHorses26 Then have fun having sore hips and sore bum.

  • what the hell is she trying to do with her feet ? and when she moved her legs ...that made me laugh (-:

  • @mishallka When she kicks her? She's keeping her horse to go, if you don't, the horse will slow down.

  • o.0 She keeps jabbing the horse with her spurs.. ://

    But good videoo ! (:

  • @PonyLoveForLifee She doesn't have spurs, but she's still horrible. Her legs move WAY too much, her heels aren't down, and her hands are too far apart. Ugh. The teacher is fine, but the rider...

  • @SkyCabin6 she does have spurs but shes not using them constantly, but i do agree with you 100%

  • WTF You SUCK! When you ride you keep you heels DOWN and your legs STILL! You look like your humping the saddle! STUPID!!! If she is an instructor then I would hate to see the students learning the trot!

  • Horrable riding! Use your leg muscles, not the stirrup to post. My trainer would have made me post with no stirrups (which sucked but worked haha).

  • @herewefly I agree with you 100%, but that's the way dressage riders ride, they don't put their heels down becasue they think that it "locks their leg", and I think her seat looks like it is moving a lot because the horse has a trot that moves a lot, so her seat is compensating for that. My friend rides dressage, so she always tells me that when I say ur supposed to put ur heels down. Once again, I agree with you about putting your heels down, haha.

  • @MsBarnBum That's a bunch of bull. That's just a cop out. A lot of dressage riders put their stirrups to long, for what I have know idea.

  • God, her riding looks terrible :/

  • Ugh! Her legs look horrible! They're flopping in all directions! I can't watch this anymore.

  • Different people learn to post trot and sit trot differently, according to saddles and style. This isnt my prefered style but it could work.

  • No offence... But she looks like a worm when trotting! I just laughed at 1:24....
