I am talking about the instrumental talent of playing a guitar, bass, drums etc. The quality of sound and the skill to master a certain instrument that is physically not some programmed computer is the essence of what playing music is all about and what I was trying to mention, thank you.

I don't want to turn this into an endless debate, I'll jut say i disagree with you, your definition of "the essence of what playing music is all about" is too academic, too "clasical". It excludes many form of music and experimentation in music, an when that happens, music stops evolving.

Art isn't only about virtuosism; the avant-garde artists of the first half of the XX century knew that, and it was a great era for plastic arts.

@Akhin I see your point and you do have one, I think generally we have different taste's and beliefs in music. Music should always evolve in whatever way we would like it to..this genre started with Pink Floyd which did work at the time, don't get me wrong this music isn't horrible and can be soothing now listening to it but not something I personally would play everyday, I guess it's just all the computer based music inspired nowaday's that irritate's me and causes me to post a negative comment

Haha, its okay if you don't like it. I agree that this kind of sound started with Pink Floyd's meddle, and I must say i listen to that album a lot more often than i listen to mogwai ...

Still, there's something soothing and relaxing about this music that for me makes it unique, and absolutely worthy.
