I have tried a few different approaches to this, and yours is by far the best. I love Descent Max and it is better than the system.
I hope I will figure this out myself, but do you need to do all the steps for each game? After play DM for a while I notice my kikki099 was gone so I am unzipping it again for another game. Thanks for your time.
There is no need to redo all the steps every time you use the emulator. The only steps you need to follow are the ones for new games that you have downloaded (unecm'ing the bin files). Not sure exactly why Kiki099's file would disappear after use. My only advice would to just keep everything in the same folder on your desktop or where every you prefer so you can keep everything together.
is it me or is it that some games just cant be played like for e.g Final fantasy 9?? you see when I play the file there is only a blank screen, and it hangs like that for...3mins....5mins.......10mins was the longest i waited. so what im trying to ask is that whether it's a problem with the file or just my emulator not working? cause ive tried on both psxfin and epsxe, both failed me :(
@WAFIYMAHADI Yeah, i have run into games that just dont seem to work. Most likely it is the game itself when it was converted into a rom file. Or it could be very well the emulator. This version of epsxe does have its fair share of bugs, it is still far from perfect. Sorry about that :(
@ashwolf2006 I really dont have an answer for that. It might be a hardware problem, and if you have an awesome pc im sorry if i have offended you haha. ummmmm, as far as speeding up the game, by increasing rate of motion, there does not seem to be an option to do so. sorry :(
@Satanicwar7 The games will play music if that is what you're asking. If you are asking if the game files come with mp3s of the games music, then no it does not unfortunately.
@horrorchicken Ah yes. You wont be able to play the games off the cd rom by just popping it into your disc drive. there is a way of copying the files so that you may be able to play it. Unfortunately, i have forgotten how to do so, so please give me some time to figure it out. Ill let you know when I have got it.

Hey there fine sir, I would just like to say, this is a wonderful video. I am curious as to know if you (personally) use a controller. I have got my PS3 controller to work with my PC but i am afraid of it not working for THPS. any thoughts on the controller?
@antonsIGN I havent used a PS3 controller on my pc before, so im afraid i dont know what to say. However, i dont really see there being a problem with you using it. if you have the software/drivers to be able to use the ps3 controller, it should be fine. When you have it set up, go to the ePSXe config wizard guide and see if it works when you are setting up the controls. Do tell if it works.

the only system requirement regarding video cards is that it be direct x and opengl compatible. im sure it should still be able to handle it decently. =)

@mrwednesdaynight so when u got a game going, hit esc, then the emulator will be in its original state. go to Run then go to Save State (F1) then u should be able to pick a save state. then continue the game by going to Run, then Continue. everytime u hit F1 ull save a state in the slot of your choice, when u hit F3 itll load that save state.
If thats not the case, i am unaware of that bug for the time being.

@Phatbone88 i figured it out. i had to go into the run menu and enable logs. it wasn't automatically enabled with the current settings. memory cards were not working either until i properly set the directories. now the problem i am running into is how many slots available a game sees. example, madden recognizes just enough slots for a franchise and a profile. thats it. i haven't figured out how to get it to recognize more availible space. im not too worried about it though.

i got all the plugins and the bio and i get an error when i try to load games. doesnt say anything specific it just says problems running file. any ideas?
