Nice video. Very informative. Thank you. I am planning on doing something similar with my 27" iMac... once I buy a new one. Warning about the kensington lock: it is worthless. Thieves stole my old 27" mac and the lock did not even slow them down. The wall mount is much more secure.

mac is supposed to be super innovative... but when I bought my mac for my home studio... I instantly wondered why the stand was integrated into the body? It's the dumbest thing ever... you can still have sleek products and make the stand detachable. It seems obvious to me.

The reason it has all the screws is for strength, rigidity and stability. Any less screws and it could compromise any of those. Apple has intended for it to be removed which why they sell their own vesa mount adapter. And it's really not that hard to remove it. Of course, you would know that because you watched the video....amiright?

hey magnus, cooles video, aber ich verstehe denn sinn igendwie nicht. warum schraubt man seinen imac an die wand? der standfuß hält doch gut und mann kann den imac noch wo anderes hinstellen, so bist du immer an diese wand gefesselt... aber dem einen den imac an die wand, dem anderen das macbook pro ins bett, dass kann jeder machen wie er will. lg, felix
