@Intechdude300 Well I'm not saying they're fast, but they're by far not the slowest thing I've driven. I've driven much slower Hondas, chevys, fords, and nissans that get worse gas mileage and have crappier reliability.
@jamalb4life if in excellent shape but with the same miles, dealers would still pay roughly $2600 for it. Dealer know that this was a rock solid generation
My neighbor has this car, and she says she won't get rid of it, I am glad she said that because this was one of the best gen camry, although its really boring.
I try to upload around 5 a week. Just ignore 1 of my last vids of a Acura Integra as I need to further edit it. Havnt taken it down yet as the delete feature is working right now. Uploading that vid again now.
So you consider this a good Toyota because? It has the reliable engine, and the interior is well padded? And that car in the condition it is in will easily sell still, even with almost 200,000 miles on it.
Actually, dealers dont hesitate with this generation Camry with High mileage. All what killed it hear was the paint & having to redo the front seats. But someone will fix that I'm sure.
yeah im also more acustomed to a shifter that require you to press a button to unlock them verses the gated shifters that move through a funky maze....i also like this shape better, more and more auto mfg's use rounder smaller shifters even for auto's.
this is FL & if this car was parked on a driveway under the hot shiny FL sun, chances are high for the paint to screw up. On the roof there was some burnt clear coat spots along with the hood & trunk having its share. The hood was also very chipped up. The rest could be revived with a good buff & wax.
I'm guessing the Florida heat is hard on cars. I've been to Dallas, Texas to visit family and it's deadly hot there in the summer months. Guess it's the same fare in Florida.
@crammage I think these can get 24 city and up to 36 hwy if you drive under 65mph. These are slow as hell, boring to drive and have lame exterior styling, but these get good gas mileage, are reliable, have a comfortable ride and quiet cabin. Probably make decent second cars, esp for someone that has a long commute.
I have a 2000 Camry and the glovebox is very damped unlike this one...

Identical to my Camry. Except mine is green and in much better condition. And the 2.2 is actually pretty peppy. Not fast, but it's not horribly slow.

@zachtravers My dad bought 2-3 of the 92-01 Camrys weekly for years. And it had to be the 4 cyl versions

Not a bad car but looks too square and bland for me. Better than the current gen. but the generation before this one was my favourite one.
