heres what happened... mabey

nick fury knew about the skrulls long before civil war.

so he tells cap what all is going on. cap then leaves, presumably to the skrull planet.

while back on earth during civil war, that was not really cap, and consequently not caps death.

then the real cap gets off of the skrull ship in secret invasion knowing just a ton of stuff about what the skrulls are doing...

this is just a theory.

That guy in shadow in breakout could be nick fury, and this may be part of his plan, or was he still in shield during this? I don't remember

I think its an almost certainty that the Breakout was all Skrull planned.

It was both cover for Saurons escape, and additional crap for earths heroes to deal with to keep em incapable of dealing with the inevitable Skrull invasion.

Remember that the Skrulls want the earths champions as disoriented and incapable of organizing themselves as possible.

This makes me think about the mystery guy in Wolverine Origins that hired Deadpool to kill Wolvie! Afterall Wolverine is one tough SOB and a mutant making him a pain in the ass to the SKRULLS.

I haven't been following Wolverine Origins, but what you suggest does add up.

I'm pretty sure that the story-arc we saw in the Wolverine comic during Civil War had something to do with Skrulls as the whole bit where Wolvey re-grew his whole body when all that was left were his bones and the marrow in em was crazy over the top!

True those nasty Skrulls may have been trying to test the limit of healing factor, or they may have believed he was dead.Wolvie is like a Terminator he just never stays down. The only way to kill him is with the honor sword. He used to kill Sabretooth (which begs the question how does Romulus tie into this?)Also the only ones to really seem to know what is really going on is Ironman and Nick Fury.2 Illumanaiti down.Prof.X and Blackbolt.Possibly Mr fantastic. who's next namor?

I think Nicks more up to speed than Tony, but having said that I wouldn't be surprised if Tony knows far more than hes letting on.

Iron Man and Cap were pretty hot on the trail of finding out who was really controlling SHEILD and Hydra before Civil War started.

So you almost have to suspect that theres simply far more going on with Tony than hes let on...

in avengers dissembled a skrull is in two pannels around the time Clint died. he is among the kree as a back ground character but can be clearly identified. wtf?

iron man is a Skrull he took the best weapon earth had the hulk and threw him off the planet, just in time for the civil war.

which brought world war hulk know the hulk is a shadow of his former gloryies self.

Iron Man did nothing as an individual.

Sending the Hulk off the Earth was a joint venture of the Illuminati that Namor wasn't backing I might add.

Its important to note that the straw that broke the camels back was the rampage Hulk had in the pages of FF where he was out of character, and grey.

Seems pretty clear to me that said Hulk was a Skrull and not the real Hulk.

I HIGHLY doubt Iron Man is a Skrull, but we'll see!

Well I highly suspect that we'll see Buck as Cap for a while yet.

I mean even if Cap does come back in Secret Invasion (I suspect tat isn't the case to be honest) that would still give us a solid 8 or so more months with the Winter Soldier as Cap.

The grand question is how?

Either it will play into Secret Invasion or it will play out in Captain America but I'm absolutely positive that Ed Brubaker didn't simply kill of Captain America without a plan to bring him back.

It might just not have anything to do with Secret Invasion.

I think Quicksilver had far less to do with Wandas alteration of reality than we were led to believe!

In "Avengers Finale" when he shows up he makes it clear he wasn't around for the "Avengers Disassembled" fiasco despite Quicksilver being there, and That Quicksilver was probably a Skrull!

So if anything I think that the Quicksilver we've been seeing isn't a Skrull, but that theres been Skrulls disguised as him out there.
