James Cameron is one of the most unimaginative and uninventive directors to have ever lived. He's competent only in the most technical aspects of direction. When it comes to storytelling, drama, and character development however, he's clown shoes.

i dont understand the comparison of Megan Fox to Zoe. 1st and foremost they are a world apart. Zoe is an intellectual, intelligent female whose characters on screen come across as strong and fiery and strong-willed, where as Megan Fox is only seen as a sex symbol. She's sexy but her presence is not as robust and command as Zoe. IMO. There's No Comparing the two. BIG DIFFERENCE.

Incorrect, Cameron had the idea in 1988 but wrote his script in 1993 as he wanted a 1999 release date but decided to hold off the movie for a decade as he put the script in a drawer waiting for technology to do justice and satisfy Cameron's vision

What's like no story you've ever seen? Avatar? o.o Cuz... I've seen plenty of stories like that. Even cartoons. o0 The movie was alright. I liked it, didn't love it. But I did like it. It was like any other movie to me. The 3D probably popped out more than usually which is kinda cool but not something I would do unless it were free. XD Otherwise, the Na'vi didn't look real to me. They were too "perfect". People have bumps and scars and no perfect shape or skin but the Na'vi, did in the JUNGLE...

@Valkyrie160 I'm wrong for thinking this movie isn't as good as MANY other weirds. That's a little weird when knowing that this is all up to people's opinions. Avatar offers nothing, but visuals. There are far smarter films out there. Avatar had a TERRIBLE script, an unoriginal story, poor character development and decent acting (bad from some, good from others - yet script ruins all).

This is a film that doesn't need a genius like Cameron, only a lot of money. The movie is only good for CGI!

there is going to be a sequel, james cameron announced it. most likely a triology. he already had a story in mind so it shouldn't take too long, and titanic was made during avatar, so it started shooting in the 21st century

And one last statement: Why waste your time sitting 2 hours in front of a computer screen like a basement dweller when you can watch in theaters with the amazing 3D, IMAX, VMAX and services so you can fully enjoy it? Watching in a TV screen using DVD or in a home theater is still better. Besides, sometimes I watch movies online in my laptop but only cartoons like Pokemon or shitty movies. NOT ONES LIKE THE GODFATHER, AVATAR, SHERLOCK HOLMES ETC! Whoever advertises these "sites" needs a life.
