  • where is the slap of respect to loyoto machida

  • Perfect, accurate video. Very emotional, got me a little teared up.

  • this really shows just how weird his legacy is.

  • Fantastic video...perfect song. I have a feeling Inoki would beat the shit out most of the people in the world, and most wrestlers.

  • Video is quite good, and though Inoki is a selfish son of a bitch in reality, He was quite a worker in the ring...

  • dam, an asian jay leno

  • I loved the video mate, but i don't seem to understand the description. Or how Cro Cop has anything to do with pro wrestling.

  • He must have been one of the biggest bad asses in Japan.

  • @hawkermustang There were DOZENS more badass then him, but his in ring selling is what made him "badass"

  • @BurningDiscipline Bollocks,aint nothing more badass than Inoki...Hiroshi Hase sure,but Inoki ftw.

  • He's the Ric Flair of Japan.

  • @danteras23

    True

  • why no scenes with ali

  • @mmafighter7991, it's hard to make even that look interesting. Seriously though, I'm not sure...care to comment on this mister author? (I just posted it for a friend)

  • @wrestlingscout lol that was easily the worst fight i have ever seen, besides that fact it showed just how ballsy inoki was challenging ali back when ali was view as unstoppable, it would have been awesome if the rules weren't in alis favor, maybe there would have been a real fight

  • @wrestlingscout This video was put together entirely from the "Radical Fights" video New Japan released. Footage from Ali-Inoki was not on that video for whatever reason. Probably at the time I made this video I had not even seen the Ali-Inoki match. This was made before online video was what it is today.

  • You are "The island" on a deserted island that you know the game was over two hours and Masa Saito Inoki? Nobody else was uninhabited Rings audience. Inoki is one of the best match.

Characteristics of a wrestler Inoki, the darkness brought a big pro wrestling, it also represented. Inoki At the time, suffered in the company's position in life. Night, light the torches in the sight of Inoki Saito shut down, very beautiful.

  • Antonio Inoki: The Hulk Hogan of Japan

  • @TheArtofUTube what does that make Baba or Misawa or Kobashi or Kawada or Rikidozan?

  • If anybody has ever seen the cartoon "Fairly Odd Parents", Inoki reminds me of "The Crimson Chin", LOL!!! Look at the size of his jaw/chin! Good thing he wasn't a boxer. How could you miss a chin that big? Hey, if they ever make a live action movie version of Fairly Odd Parents, he can play the part of the Crimson Chin! :-P

Kidding aside, he was a pretty phenomenal wrestler though.

  • Weird.

  • WWE Hall of Fame class of 2010. That's awesome.

  • @georgyfontaine28 Fuck WWE it killed wrestling.

  • Inoki is so great. His 1-2-3-Daaa pose is da best.

  • I remember when Hulk Hogan knocked him out in a match, you can find it here on youtube.

Good wrestler but the best ever is gorgeus george.

  • What match is the clip from :50 from?

  • he is the real fighter !

    oh my god !

I liked wrestling before but in real life

i cannot do that so sad

i prefer to use boxing and muaythai

but sometime wrestling is still save me

    from taggle by enemy.

inoki is king of wrestling ever.

  • Peleo contra el cavernario?

  • what's the song name ?

  • Hurt by Johny Cash

  • Nine Inch nails where the first ones to do this song...

  • goddamn its the crimson chin

  • i'm pretty sure he ended muhammad ali's career..

  • On September 15, 1978, Ali fought a rematch in the New Orleans Louisiana Superdome against Leon Spinks for the WBA version of the Heavyweight title, winning it for a record 3rd time. Ali fought Inoki in 1976. So Inoki DID NOT end Ali's career.

  • @vanity81 he didnt end his career but ali's leg injuries in the fight definately shortened it.

  • LOL'd when I saw the title

  • Wow. Great video. Nice juxtaposition between his wondrous puroresu legacy and the crap he put his wrestler's through in MMA.

  • LEGEND

antonio and jay has something in common do you know what??? ;D

    LEGEND

  • i dont know if the Johnny Cash song...played all the way threw....i haven't bin...able to listen to it...yet.....

    i love Johnny Cash....Rest In Peace Johnny.+.

Good Clip........in silence.... for ..me (lol)+.

  • He was is officially the 5th best Wrestler of the 20th century by PWI.

    1. Hulk Hogan

    2.The Rock

    3.Andre The Giant

    4.Bret Hart

    5.Antonio Inoki

As a WWE fan, i havent seen much of Inoki so i cant judge him, the same as most of you. But he was obviously one of the best in the buisness of worldwide wrestling.

  • what about stone cold steve Austin? O.o

  • What's official about a kayfabe magazine on a worked sport?

  • There is no way that any of the guys that you mentioned are even in the top 50 wrestlers of the 20th century, apart from Bret Hart and of course Inoki. The real top 5 would most likly look like this:

    1. Kenta Kobashi

    2. Mitsuharu Misawa

    3. Jushin Thunder Liger

    4. Original Tiger Mask

    5. Ultimo Dragon/Dynamite Kid

They are real wrestlers buddy, do your research and don't rely on what PWI says, they are useless and they don't know what wrestling is. WWE is just entertainment, not wrestling

  • That's the biggest crock of 'LOL I JUST GOT INTO PURORESO' list you could have possible posted. The fact that Lyger's on the list, Misawa's over Kobashi even though everybody knows the former was the better worker, and Dragon and Dynamite are inexplicable tied for 5th is really laughable. Name an Ultimo Dragon match better than Eddie/Mysterio, or Tiger Mask match outside of his series with Dynamite Kid better than Shawn Michaels' hundreds of 5 star matches. You also have CZW in your name.

  • Great Muta hands down is the best in Japan wrestling history...one of the GREATEST EVER!!!

  • To put it simply, Inoki whored out much of his top talent in legit MMA fights because of his own personal interest (obsession, really) with martial arts within wrestling. This led to a slow-but-sure decline in the popularity of puroresu, which it is only now starting to overcome.

  • Nail hits head.

  • to be fair I really don't think its inoki's fault that mainstream wrestling these day's is crap, we have someone else to thank for that. Know what I mean "brothers"

  • Don't kid yourself. Hogan did nothing to contribute to the downfall of puroresu's popularity.

  • @hooknshoot45 Yeah, Vince McMahon and Vince Russo! Demonic, telepathic brothers from seperate mothers!

  • someone has to Download his match they show at 00:06 and at the end , he's wearing a bloody yellow rag around his head!!! Anyone know what match of his that is? Also what match is at 2:11 when Fujinami and him are on everyones shoulders?

  • The clip with Fujinami is from their one-hour draw on 8/8/88. I want to say the 00:06 clip is after the match with Tiger Jeet Singh.

  • omg at 2:14 he's fighting Judo Hobo!!!

  • Inoki was indeed one of the greatest workers of puroresu, but when you look at japanese Wrestling history you will see that RIKIDOZAN was the real hero.

  • Rikidozan was the first... not the best.

  • Awesome. One of the greatest wrestlers that Japan has ever produced. Hails to Inoki.

  • As much as I respect the legacys of Akira Taue, Giant Baba, Great Muta (Keiji Muto), Jumbo Tsuruta, Jushin Liger, Kenta Kobashi, Mitsuharu Misawa, & Sataru Sayama (original Tiger Mask). In my opinion of them all, Antonio Inoki was the best Japanese wrestler ever:).

  • shoot to work ur an idiot its the other way around, its going back to the way that it was,,,catch as catch can was legit but due to ignorant fans wanting?? senless violence or some sappy soap opera drama anyway this is the sport like chesss,in fact the great KARL GOTCH SHOULDA JUST WHUPP NATURE BOY BUDDY ROGERS FAKE ASS THEN

  • whats the song there? :o

  • johnny cash hurt

  • Johnny Cash's cover of "Hurt" by Nine Inch Nails.

  • the man is true living legend.

    Great video 5/5

  • I didnt know fujita was a pro wrestler

man the japanese must have went nuts when he beat kerr

  • Why is there a bunch of random crocop footage?

  • An Inoki promoted event.

I know, doesn't really fit in.

  • read my explanation post - Crocop was known as the "pro-wrestling hunter" for a reason

  • Inoki...

One of the Greates wrestlers of all Time...

If I could pick the all time greats... Inoki would be in the Top 5 along the Likes of Bret Hart and Lou Thez, even Ric Flair.

    Keep The Toukon Flame Alive!

  • A living legend and his chin is cooler than jay lenos!!

  • Can somebody explain to me how is Cro Cop and other fighters in the vid (mostly CroCop cause hes a kickboxer) related to Inoki?

And does Inoki have somethign to do with Inoki-Bombaye? I know nothing.

    Thank You.

  • Inoki has been obsessed with mixed pro-wrestling and other combat sports (boxing, judo, etc.) since he formed New Japan. He had lots of worked mixed matches and when MMA started catching, he jumped on that. He did run Inoki Bom-ba-ye shows and was affiliated with Pride and K-1 at different times. Many of his wrestlers and many others were sacrificed to legit fights with limited training and many lost. The payoff was huge for those who won, but others lost and have never been the same since.

  • Wow man...

    Thank You Very Much. :)

  • What an excellent video with a very fitting song (and a hidden message). Inoki was responsible for making wrestling in Japan what it WAS (popular), yet with his narrow minded thinking (putting his top guys in shoots in which they all failed), made it what it has BECOME (unable to draw the masses). Again, awesome video.

  • I will never understand the wrestling-to-MMA trend that is now spreading to the U.S. Makes no sense to me at all. Wrestling has been popular for decades just being wrestling so why attempt to make a shoot out of a work?

Nobody outside the wrestling bubble will ever take an interest because suddenly Angle or Joe have a good match and Angle wore different ring attire. It looks like a straight rip-off and Inoki should have known better and here's hoping that North Am. wrestlers/promoters stop.

  • Too many stupid smarks around nowadays for us just plain wrestling fans anymore. Wrestling has gotten so bad nowadays that all I can do is look back on the Glory days of Hulkamania and the attitude era and remember the good times.

  • You're not a wrestling fan. You're a soap opera fan.

  • Exactly Brother!!!

  • Most of us yonger fans wouldn't have heard of this man if not for "smarks". If you think the era where a man who pumped so much sterois into his ass that his ass could bend needles (Hulk Hogan) were "the glory days", yeah, sure.

  • Hold on I never took any shots at Antonio Inoki, I was taking shots at shoot fight and mma. Inoki was one of the greatest PRO WRESTLERS and a multiple time world champ including WWE(even if they wont recognize it). notice I capitalized PRO WRESTLER because thats what he was best at, and what I respect him for not for mma.

  • How can you not respect him for mma when he was mma's first ever promoter in 1970's Shooto fights in Japan? He even helped create Pride FC. He is one of the founding fathers of modern MMA along with the Gracie familly. Even UFC's Dana White knows that shit.

  • @WhyMustYouBeSoStupid

I love your comments. I think this is along the eight or ninth time I've mentioned it but I come along them way too much.

  • @ARealHulkamaniac that's a sad statement you made. I hate smarks because they mark for spots (what smark stands for, no such thing as a smart mark). I think if everyone just got along and learned to appreciate all styles the world would be a better place.

  • @Anglefan12 Listen brother, I am mark and I give all styles of wrestling a chance. I just can't stand when all I see is ignorant smarks complaining about wrestlers or entertainers that I see as entertaining. I love entertaining wrestlers like Hulk Hogan or Scott Hall and even Inoki, but the smarks I am refering to simply dislike them because of their supposed real life problems such as Inoki accusations of being part of the Japanese mob.

  • i have no idea who h is or anything about japanese wrestling but nice video lol

  • very wonderful and respectful MV for one of the greats. If not the greatest.

  • Wonder why the old NWA never put the belt on Inoki (like they did with Baba).

  • Because All Japan was the Japanese promotion representing the NWA, New Japan wasn't.

  • They had a chance, as All Japan was only with the NWA from 1973--1986 and New Japan had joined them around 1995, which gave them about a 3 year window to put the title on him before he retired but it just never happened.

  • Your friend made a great vid. Very bone chilling thank you.
