  • I need to pee now. :(

  • damn, the coaster goes so fast it makes the water move!

  • OMG i want to go on that so badly now!

It reminds me of Air in Alton Towers but it looks more epic

  • omg this is like eyecandy for a roller coaster fanatic. i luv it! lol

  • This ride is awesome, I just wish SeaWorld could make the splash to where it wets by standers, sort of like sheikra. Dont get me wrong I think the splash is amazing now I just think they could of done a little better and not make it so obvious that its not even dipping into the water. Honestly the wing tip is like a foot away from the water, they could atleast make sure the timing is right all the time like Ive seen wen its splashes like 2 seconds before the train even makes it.

  • they need this in te aussie one too! jet rescue is good but still needs more though :)

  • In my recent visit to Orlando (just yesterday) I opted for Seaworld and experienced Manta both in the very front and very back (the back much better) however no matter where you sit that pretzel loop is fucking intense, it's easily the biggest range of G's I've ever felt from intensely negative going down in such a position to intensely positive at the bottom of the inversion on your back.

  • the reason shy h ecart dusnt touch water is for electrical reasons you dumbass

  • false.. and what if it rains ?

it is just to hard to make , it will slow down the train , and make the passengers too wet

  • awesomeee :D

  • i thought the cart touches the water

  • Me too, but there are sensors under the water that are activated when the coaster passes the water.

  • @Oneofakind407 actually they are proximity sensors located on the track

  • @slipknotmaggott666 oh thanks for telling me

  • @Oneofakind407 fo sho

  • You got to be joking,I was there last week, its an amazing ride, its a lot better than all the rollercoasters we have in this country.

  • If I could comprehend what your saying, I would be glad to prove you wrong! :D

  • well then prove me wrong..maybe its just the fact that i dont like flying coasters i guess...

cuz i think i said the same thing about tatsu.

  • that is totally your problem then , but you dont have to blame a good rollercoaster just becouse you dont like it.

  • well sorry i take back wat i said.....i mean its a good coaster...but it just wasnt wat i expected it to be

  • i like how they added to simulate a flying manta touching water

  • It looks great but I wish they would make is a lot bigger.

  • i just got back from sea world yesterday i was more willing to ride manta wich i did than i was with kraken but i rode kraken after and i have to say that both rides are amazing!!!

  • i went on that ride it cool and i hurt my head

  • Aw weak, I thought the trains were actually gonna shoot the water up like Sheikra.. oh well, looks cool off ride.

  • i always thought the splash was from the wind of the train LMAO!

  • i thought it touchers the water, but from this angle its fountains...its still nice to simulate the whoe sting ray theeme

  • The name "Manta" sure goes along with a sting ray theme, doesn't it?

  • stunning

  • what song is this??

  • wow. impressive =D

  • wow even though the splash isnt very big it looks absolutely AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!

  • man that looks so sexii and smooth ima ride it cuz i live in florida

  • so cool

  • instead, it should come around the corner, dive underwater, then blast out and soak a viewing area lol

side effects: possible drowning and lawsuits

  • LOL.

do you know if the riders get whet at all?

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah uh-huh because this type of train touching the water like that would be totally practical and safe.

  • Rust isn't a problem... The water splashes on other coasters like Griffon and SheiKra DO hit the track and ARE produced by the train skimming the water (not by water jets like Manta's).

This is just not possible on Manta because the train would have to skim the water on an angle which would be too unstable and unsafe for the riders.

  • thats pretty freakin sweet

  • Blows the Hulks out of the water.

Well what do you know a pun!

  • Looking closely however, it appears that the carriage actually fans the jets as it glides past.

  • The splash is designed to be subtle and graceful; not to soak people on a bridge!

  • maxinebendix is right it isnt designed to soak people on the bridge but it would be cool if it did and second of all I was expecting the train to actually skim the water with probaly an inch of its wing , that would not cause much damage , even though it will make a little splash it would still be cool

  • at that kind of speed the water wouldn't react how you imagine, have you ever belly flopped?

  • it would cause masseve damage, all three trains have on board computers on them, and to be honest you do get a bit wet between this and "kissing the waterfall" :P

  • It's all beautifully timed!

  • LOVE IT!

  • I think they should have made the splash bigger.

  • Don't care if it's made by the train or not... it looks AMAZING.

To have the train provide that effect would be damn near impossible. This is a great alternative that also provides a great visual on the ride, I'm sure. Riding in front of that 'wave' has to be great. I'm dying for someone to post a full POV.

  • i thought it would have done it thru a scoop, ala sheikra

  • i wish six flag would get more creative with their coasters. MORE THEMEING!!

  • i'm kind of disappointed. i thought that the splash was going to be caused by something actually on the train... still looks like a good ride though

  • That would be impossible to do. Given the banking of the track, the asymmetric drag of the water in contact with only one side of the vehicle would cause severe wear & tear damage to the vehicle. SeaWorld never intended for the vehicles to make contact with water. It's purely a visual element for bystanders.

  • If you put the vehicle upside down, you could do it like they have on Sheikra, or Diamondback.

  • Beautiful!

Whats the name of the music?

  • wow, this is just stunning!

  • Awesome Nick!!
