bugang practices were common in different Taoist sects however, no one even claimed that Pa Kua was practiced on Wudangshan until these reinactors started a school there in the 90's.
Just as "all hard styles come from xiaolin," "all internal comes from Wudang." It's obviously not fact. It's just one of those creation myths the Chinese love.

Circling originited in India.... Taoists used it as a meditation. Dong supposedly learned it from the Lung Men.

circle walkking originated with Daoists and was passed on to Dong Hai Chuan who added what he felt was proper.
