Assalamualaikum brother, i really love your videos about all these techniques. It helped me alot. I do wing chun in hk already for a years. Keep doing the good work and daawah!
Great Vid thanks! Most everybody seems to see the advanced level of training here. Good to realize that Michael Louison is just having fun here as his technique is excellent and he has no need to apply effort, he's able to zoom with complete ease. thanks again, this is in the top of youtube vids as well as what any fortunate student could hope to find for an instructor.
the instructor is good as he tries to find out the pattern of chi-sao and teach students in a control manner. But he can drive his student like a toy just because his student has no sense of proper positioning and doesn't know how to use certain skills in Wing Tsun Chi Sao

hello ysiddiqui, i'm from yorkshire and for many years now, i've been trying to find a wing chun school to no avale. After seeing this, your sifu is an amazing teacher. Would he have any advice for me regarding self training i.e. wooden dummys ect??? as i'm alone in my quest to learn and practice this art. thanks again
Hi Gongau, WC forms have fuq, tan, sau, kwan, lan sau etc etc. If you you want to do is punch, then that becomes just a form of boxing. Yes, you need to punch, but learn how to use the other techniques as well.
Yes, WC has a Nim Sau as well (wrist or forearm - depending on the application)
Yes He could use manny technics to hit he guy insted of earlyer called Nim sau. But in that posistion....... When you are in front of your oponent. Punching or palm is the saffest and most destructive way to clear the job.
An other comment is: He uses Chi Sau as foreplay for his technics. In my opinion the basics of chi sau is to train forward movement, punching power, reactions and stance.
Hi Ezbhul, Ok, good comments. However, we don't limit our chi sau to just 4 areas. Movement - can be forward, angular, backwards (yes, with Jut sau or pull techniques), Punching power (more than just punching in Wing Chun) - how about break techniques, locks, traps, changes in energy. Chi Sau is a study, you study whats works and when it works. One should be be able to practice all your WC techniques within chi sau - huen, kwan, gan, tan, bong, pak, fat sau etc etc - no just punching.......

In his situation he can easy use his fist for the best result insted of this strange looking Nim-thing
Ezbhul 4 years ago
That is correct! He could also use Fat Sau, Bui Sau or many other techniques. Nim Sau is a part of Wing Chun. Its in the SLT form.
If you want to use the fists only, then you can forget the other 90+% of Wing Chun and just do boxing only. The idea is to practice your techniques.
