  • Well yeah, 98% of black people voted for Obama, Most likely because he was black.

And yes, I consider that racism.

  • No that is incorrect with your opinion. 95% of blacks voted against the Republican party and what it stood for under George W. Bush. Don't try this reverse racism stuff because there is no evidence that it exists. Blacks tend to vote 90% Democrat anyway. 91% blacks voted for John Kerry, Walter Mondale, Michael Dukakis and guess what? They were all white men, so stop with the black racism cry and study historical voting trends of African Americans.

  • if Hillary got a sex change and ran as a woman, they would really have something !

  • sseriously if these rich people are so rich why arnt you investing in it????

  • racism has nothing to do with it. Socialism does. I would have voted for Alan Keyes.

  • It's not racism when black person will vote for the black elect, but it's racism when a white person votes for a white elect. Welcome to America!

    Palin is not.

90% of the African vote always goes to the democratic nominee because the RNC does not believe in diversity or unification.

  • And as far as the race thing goes, I was married to a black man and have 2 biracial children and I cant believe the bigotry that still exists in this country. What is the fear of having a black man as our president? Obama is a good man who will make our country better if given the chance. You say Obama has no experience but you will elect someone like Palin who doesnt have a clue. McCain is old and his ideas are stale. We need change.

  • HOW is obama a "good man"? i live in chicago honey, and i haven't seen a DAMNED thing done that he says he did!! why do u think "fear" keeps us for putting in a chicago politician?

  • Hey Dix, you are going to vote for 4 more years of we have right now. What happened to all the jobs? And where are these small businesses going to get their consumers when people less fortunate cant buy their products? I am retired, paid taxes all my life, and now McCain is out there insulting Middle America by saying Obama is going to give us "welfare" or socialsim. Just not true. McCain will keep my taxes, give it to the rich and increase my insurance premiums. Good job, McCain!

  • America desperately needs leaders who have "real-honest-to-God" BRAINS!As a country, we've spent the last 8 years, being "lead"(into all sorts of gawd-awful scenarios, with predictable gawd-awful results)by subscribers to Republicanism. Many of these "subscribers,"are seriously-lacking in their ablity to crically analyze & evaluate ANYTHNG more complicated than whether or not they're "mavericky-enough!" In 2008,we(as voters)now have the opportunity to say that when it comes to IQ,SIZE DOES MATTER!!

  • Obama for president.

  • We are facing economic hardship, dont let media news about race divide us. We need to unite during economic hardship. We will need each other. Stay focused on preparing not race division.

  • I get tired of the word racism being used toward white people only. They are only asking if whites are going to be racial and vote for McCain only. They never bring up the fact that at least 90% of blacks are going to vote for Obama just because he is black. That would be considered racist too but, it is never mentioned.

  • 100% of blacks voted for a white man in 2004.

  • That is not the point. If Colin Powell ran, I would vote for him in a heart beat. I don't care what color someone is as long as they are moral and fair. My point was, I'm tired of whites being called racists only. I do understand what it means for someone being black running for the first time in history. But, it is still considered the same when they all vote for him just because he is black. The word racists applies to both.

  • Who ever said whites were the only ones who could be racist? Whites are the majority in the population and much, much larger majority in the power structure. When whites are racists, entire lives are ruined. When blacks are racists, not so much. So, perhaps the difference is in the outcome. Besides, how do you know they are voting for Obama just because hes black? Did you ever think the loving care with which Republicans have treated blacks might leave an impression?

  • they are not voting for him because hes black, they are voting for him because they believe that he would be a better choice for president. mcain have the same ideas that george bush had and both of them believe in the war. both of them arwe friens also. i just wanted to say that we are not voting for obams because hes black. we need a change. change is good. i really do believe if obama becomes president, he will do a very good job running the country. bill and hilary clinton are voting for hi

  • I do understand how proud blacks are having Obama run. The problem is he has everyone believing that he will make a "change". You need to study history. He is all talk just like McCain. They are both puppets & can't do anything. They are feeding you BS. We are flat broke & he wants to spend more money. You need to WAKE UP. They are all the SAME. He is no DIFFERENT. He just has you fooled. He is for WEFARE only.

  • Ridiculous nonsense. It is you who fool no one with a brain. Lie #1: "They are both puppets & can't do anything." Lie #2: Spending $. Clearly McCain will continue wars and get us into new ones with his erratic, out of control temperment and let his rich friends get bigger tax cuts and more lucre. Lie #3: "He is for WEFARE only." You are a sick person.Don't know why you are so worried about Obama increasing taxes on those making over $250,000. Surely you don't.

  • If your so damn smart. You need to realize that when Obama raises taxes on the rich which create most jobs, MANY middle class/poor will then be out of a job. Too, whatever they want to do has to pass our Congress/Senate, so they can make all the promises they want. Just the deserate take sides with either one. If anyone is sick, it's you being brainwashed by all his BS.

  • Haha! I have two uncles that make over $250K, raising taxes slightly on them means nothing. Not even one less vacation home or fancy car. If the rich will create jobs with more money, why don't you send them half your paycheck every week? Acting like they'll get nothing accomplished because of Cong/Sen is false. And who said they'll be any Republicans left in Cong/Sen? The desperate are the third party candidate supporters. There is a difference btw the major party candidates. Period.

  • Your ignorant. No matter who wins, with the package they just passed plus the next welfare bill they are going to approve, our taxes will be more than half our check and you keep believing that Obama has an answer to everything. The desperate are the ones that vote for Obama believing that he is going to CHANGE everything.

  • Who started this tradition of hysterical expression in political discourse? It is an emotional satiation of inner irrationality, but it doesn't shake hands with reality or have any acquaintance with the truth. I know we want more Americans to vote, but the soap opera crowd should just leave serious matters to serious people.

  • why don't you send them half your paycheck every week?<<

I do invest half my earnings in thier companies. In fact all these so called rich people is who the ceo?

  • If you do you are a self-centered non-American with no civic resposibility who wants to do nothing but find loopholes to hide more of your plunder in. It is people of that ilk that put us in this economic disaster. McCain/Palin in office would be seriously dangerous for the future of this country.

  • People like you need to open your eyes and realize that the situation we are in did not just happen. It started years ago. As an example, Clinton passed the NAFTA which is why so many of our jobs are overseas, Bush Sr knew about NWO when he was in. Bush Jr is stupid. And of course it all started way before then. We have been living on an IOU for many decades and any promise they make, where in the hell is the money to come from? Neither one can do a damn thing. I'm wasting my time.

  • Trying to agrue Rep and Dem are =ly to blame is false. Neither one can do a damn thing? What a defeatest attitude. The future of this country will be directly determined by the choice of President and VP in 2008!

  • You like many others think that Obama is a Saint. He was only an organizer which is not enough experience to run this country. Go ahead and vote. I will laugh my ass off when he falls on his face because of ignorance and in-experience. If you think democrats are so great, study their history. I forget, some people are lame and have no facts. They are very narrow minded and don't see the full picture. All he will do is take more from the middle class because he is a complete socialist.

  • You speak in generalities, unfounded assumptions, hyperbola and hysteria. Move over, it time for the adults to run this country. I trust a former president of the Harvard Law Review to continually deal with nuances and complexities in the future than a curlish, ill-tempered McCain. You rant... Neither can do ANYTHING!!! He is a COMPLETE socialist!!! The cookie monster is out to get me!!! Get a grip and a more layered, detailed, textual conceptualization of reality.

  • SUM PPL JSUT DONT GET IT. thank God u do

  • dixiegirl999, It's never mentioned because it's an unfounded assumption. You have concluded that 90% of blacks are voting for Obama because of race. Based on what? Have you talked to black people about who they're voting for and why? The irony is that you don't even realize when you're stereotyping. You offer clouded opinions, all the while claiming to be the bringer clarity. Do you even understand that you are insulting 90% of a racial group?

  • Blacks voting for Obama is not racist. Racism is "a belief that inherent differences among the human races determine cultural or individual achievement ... the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others." So, blacks are voting for Obama (among many reasons) to create the historic first presidency of a black man, they are not voting against a white man because they think he is inherently inferior beacause of his race (though McCain is inferior for other reasons).

  • See the distinction? It is important.

Also, "race" classification is such an illusion and bogus concept - false and man-made. One drop of blood makes you black? Obama is not white born of a white mother? Genetic research largely points to the whole human SPECIES origination in and from Africa. Therefore, I am and we all are African - as far as I'm concerned.

    Think outside the box!

You are trapped in the matrix, Neo!

  • well said. when people start thinking of themselves more as global citizens who are all part of the same human family, it will be a lot easier to solve this world's problems.

  • the issue is being hidden....both candidates are new world order puppets....it makes no difference who wins the govt. always gets in.....

  • I hope you're right!

  • I don't know if anyone's thought about this, but what about a reverse Bradley Effect, which would involve all the redneck voters telling their huntin' pals that they're gonna vote McCain, but, realizing that he's a disaster waiting to happen, vote for a cool, calm candidate.

I see that as a more likely possibility than the so-called 'Bradley Effect' that so damaged the US all those years ago. I would hope America isn't the same racist country it was when the notion was introduced.
