It will save people money partly because the cost of insurance, even if you stay with your private insurer will drop to compete with the government option. Health care today costs so much primarily because of the uninsured. Hospitals have to raise the cost for everybody else because they cannot afford to pay for the treatment they receive in the emergency room. rasmussen is considered to be the most reliable polling platform in the country. even progressives have called it the most competent (mostly because it tends to have higher-polling averages than most.)

I love it when people complain about moving the war to Afghanistan. Perhaps you forgot that the war was originally in Afghanistan and that it never ended. He is also proposing a health care bill that will end up saving the country money in the long run. The man has been in office for eight months, give him some time to make up for 8 years worth of terrible policies. And if you are worried about wasteful spending remember the Iraq war has cost 1.2 trillion so far.

I never said that the Bush administration was any better. And how do you suppose this health care bill will save the country money? Save the government money? Sure, but not the people's money. Obama is allowing people to stay with their private insurers, but they still have to pay the health care tax so people who are unable to pay for health care can wait in line for days to check out their cold? considering that most bankruptcies are due to medical expenses, giving 10-20 million ppl without insurance a cheaper option w/o 'pre-existing conditions' would help many ppl out. actually, the costs for low inc. folk are done thru states. one factor of the fed option are for those who make too much money for state medicare ins. but not enough to pay for private insurers, so the country as a whole isnt going to be paying for everybody anyways.

It will save people money partly because the cost of insurance, even if you stay with your private insurer will drop to compete with the government option. Health care today costs so much primarily because of the uninsured. Hospitals have to raise the cost for everybody else because they cannot afford to pay for the treatment they receive in the emergency room. It is because of this that a tylenol costs 5 bucks when you go to the emergency room. Even with raised taxes the actual cost (Cont.)

I don't dislike President Obama in the least! My issue isn't with him as a person but rather in him being treated as some savior(Jesus Christ)when he's not! People are talking about his attempts to socialize America as the goal they want to fail. Not to fail as a presidential role. Obama has not helped our country, we are in our 22nd recession since 1902. we recover from them except when the government tries to intervene (great depression).
We have now tripled our deficit thanks to Obama. We will hurt for a long time after he's out of office.

Although I can appreciate your patriotism in supporting your president, I'll have to disagree with you on one point.
Saying that if he fails we fail and vice versa is simply not accurate. If you disagree with all the policies that the president is trying to implement, then it's not a success for you if they succeed. It's quite the opposite, actually. It really only makes sense if you think about it rationally. If you don't support the policies, you don't support the president.

I don't think that they were a good combination either-would've been interesting to see how he would've done with Huckabee or someone else.
