@MAB9413 Hip-Hop reached it's lyrical pinnacle around '99/'00. 1991 wasn't no joke either. They're definitely not more talented in 2011 and the majority of hip-hop fans right now have pretty much given up on lyrical content. Rappers are more derivative than ever, but at the same time I can't really fault them for digging into the past. In '91 the game was wide open and rappers couldn't afford to be conservative. Now, it's almost the opposite that's true.
