I still love the *story* of Twilight, but I agree that the fandom has lost its fun... I loved being a part of it all back when casting was going on and BD hadn't come out and it wasn't such a "pop culture phenomenon".. but now that it is, it doesn't feel as special.
Twilight in general is just ridiculous. Though, I have liked the first book in the series, I had to leave the it behind. (I understand HP ). But Twilight books in all sucked-no pun intended. It was the same thing over and over agian like a broken record...I was never a fan, even if I'd read the books, I was never even in the hipe even though I have friends the love the series, I'm me, I am also one of the hundreds of people who think the series is...meh. And this is why I have left the twilight thing years ago. I find that if I spread my intrests into two or three fandoms (Harry Potter, Legend of the Seeker, Glee and so on and so forth) I can have a life that isn't all about Twilight.

It's really crazy in the US! Before I wished I could live in America to meet the actors and go to all those twilight events. But now everything is so exaggerated.... it's only about the merchandise and the most important thing: The story gets lost!

I'm so happy for you Bailey. I've never seen a fandom go from good to bad so quickly. I'm pretty much over Twilight, and so are most of my friends. I'll read the books, I'll watch the movies, but the passion is gone.

I'm still an original pre-movie pre-fandom twilight fan and I always will be because I've just learned to ignore the bull shit, but I get what you're saying. That's just pethetic what happened between you and the fandom on the fandom's behalf, obviously. I thought people in the twilight fandom were pretty nice. Guess not. I was a subscriber before the crap started flying with the fandom. I have hated Twilight pretty much the entire time that I've been subscribed to you. The reason why I watched your videos was I wanted to see how you would handle certain topics and build a community. I left when I thought your spark was gone. I'm back now.
I look back at when I was a huge twilighter and u were a huge fan, the fan base was something to b excited about. I've grown out of twilight now and the base just seems a little silly. I commend you for breaking away from the fandom. I used to be one of your Twilight subscribers way back in the day, but now I am separated from anything Twilight, or vampire for that matter. The Twi-Fandom has gotten WAY out of control; I very much agree with you on that part. It is true you will always be associated with Twicon because you were the face of the operation. For me, when I met you at the con you snubbed me off and were beyond rude (and at the time) I thought for no reason. But after I've seen all the sh!t that went down, maybe you didn't mean to. Sorry you've had a hard time with all of this but thats "fandom" for you. Glad to see you're moving on to better things.
@RunswiththeVAMPS I had a few people feel that way, and others who thought I was perfectly happy and approachable. At the end of the day, it all depended on timing, if I just got told something wasn't working or got a call from an actor needing something that would be difficult to provide, I would have been anxious and feeling rushed. I do apologise, I was extremely tired and nervous the majority of the convention. I am normally extremely excited to meet subscribers.
i used to love the books, before the movies and the fandom and the chaos. Now the fandom is just like high school. I'm in high school, and the fandom is like a million times worse. I hate how you have to chose sides, and how everything you say and do gets personally attacked.

It's great to hear from you again, and hear how well your son is doing:) He's adorable. I couldn't agree more with your comparison of the 'fandom' to 'high school'. Twilight has been so overly hyped it's almost depressing to see fans who read the books long before the movies losing interest as opposed to middle school girls screaming 'taylor lautner is sexy' throughout all of the e/b scenes.
I will say I'll watch the Breaking Dawn movies, as for keeping up w 'fandom drama', I hold no interest.
Twilight sold out. It sucks to say it. But they really did. And the hype over it was so stupidly out of the realm of common sense that it was disgusting. When you go into a book store and some of the most famous literary works in the English language have stamps of "Edward and Bella's favorite book" on it, you know something is wrong.

I was done with Twilight when I saw everyone and their mom wearing the fandom stuff. You couldn't walk down the street, turn on your TV, or listen to the radio without some mention of Twilight. And the fact that 90% of the people that like series now only likes it for the movies. Personally, the fan based stuff ruined it for me, and now I look at it all and laugh.

I hate the movies and will have to wait a couple years to desensitize myself before I read the books again so I don't have nightmares about Kristen's vacant expression. They should have never made the movies and maybe some true fans would remain instead all the losers who jumped on the bandwagon.

When I first read Twilight, I loved it. Cause it was just so sweet and romantic. That's it though. Twilight is just like a paperback romance novel, but lacking the sex. XP It should never have gotten as crazy popular as it did, because that really did ruin a lot of its appeal. It's nice to see that so many people seem to be realizing how ridiculous it all is. I completely agree with you on all of this. When I first joined the fandom it was so much fun and just so lighthearted, but over the last year or so I've kind of felt the change in, atleast, my attitude towards the series. My friends actually had to force me to go out and see Eclipse. But I love your videos for your a amazing personality, not so much your Twlight info. The first thing that got me to watch your videos was Twilight, but that wasn't what kept me watching. What kept me watching was your humor and your energy and your personality, and whether your videos are about Twilight or not, I'm still going to keep watching anything you put out. And the fact that you've found happiness with this new guy and your beautiful son, shows and it's good to see you happy. I've missed your videos and can't wait to see more from you again!
I think a lot of us have gotten over the insane obsessive love Twilight gave us, but it's made connections between people that can and should transcend a fictional book about vampires. Just like the Harry Potter fandom, Twilight has brought people together, and they should be able to move forward together without needing the books as glue.

You didn't have to trick us into watching your video - I was so excited to see something from you in my subscription box! I'm not just watching you for Twilight - I watch you because I like your personality, and your videos make me laugh. Look at Kaleb, and his mob of nationeers who followed him out of the Twilight fandom and into a fandom of his own.
i read twilight when it came out and used to be mocked for reading it. -_- then it became huge and the people who made fun of me for reading it were suddenly crazed fans and everywhere i turned someone had the book. ugh then everyone else got sick of fandom and i couldn't say i was a fan of the books without being forced into the category of the obnoxious fandom and i couldnt handle it. :/ and your son is adorable <3 with him and Adrian thats all you need. i wish i could have that :]

I still love the *story* of Twilight, but I agree that the fandom has lost its fun... I loved being a part of it all back when casting was going on and BD hadn't come out and it wasn't such a "pop culture phenomenon".. but now that it is, it doesn't feel as special.

Twilight in general is just ridiculous. Though, I have liked the first book in the series, I had to leave the it behind. (I understand HP ). But Twilight books in all sucked-no pun intended. It was the same thing over and over agian like a broken record...I was never a fan, even if I'd read the books, I was never even in the hipe even though I have friends the love the series, I'm me, I am also one of the hundreds of people who think the series is...meh. And this is why I have left the twilight thing years ago. I find that if I spread my intrests into two or three fandoms (Harry Potter, Legend of the Seeker, Glee and so on and so forth) I can have a life that isn't all about Twilight.

It's really crazy in the US! Before I wished I could live in America to meet the actors and go to all those twilight events. But now everything is so exaggerated.... it's only about the merchandise and the most important thing: The story gets lost!
And I think you shouldn't have to explain yourself! Of course you have a live! You don't live for twilight like some people.....

I'm still an original pre-movie pre-fandom twilight fan and I always will be because I've just learned to ignore the bull shit, but I get what you're saying. That's just pethetic what happened between you and the fandom on the fandom's behalf, obviously. I thought people in the twilight fandom were pretty nice. Guess not. Really, I blame the media more than anything else. They were the ones who turned everything into a vampire-fest. I don't associate twilight w/ vamps, though. Just life.

I look back at when I was a huge twilighter and u were a huge fan, the fan base was something to b excited about. I've grown out of twilight now and the base just seems a little silly. I totally understand where ur coming from and u deserve to be treated with respect. The Twi-Fandom has gotten WAY out of control; I very much agree with you on that part. It is true you will always be associated with Twicon because you were the face of the operation. For me, when I met you at the con you snubbed me off and were beyond rude (and at the time) I thought for no reason. But after I've seen all the sh!t that went down, maybe you didn't mean to. Sorry you've had a hard time with all of this but thats "fandom" for you. Glad to see you're moving on to better things.

@RunswiththeVAMPS I had a few people feel that way, and others who thought I was perfectly happy and approachable. At the end of the day, it all depended on timing, if I just got told something wasn't working or got a call from an actor needing something that would be difficult to provide, I would have been anxious and feeling rushed. I do apologise, I was extremely tired and nervous the majority of the convention. I am normally extremely excited to meet subscribers.

Twilight has been so overly hyped it's almost depressing to see fans who read the books long before the movies losing interest as opposed to middle school girls screaming 'taylor lautner is sexy' throughout all of the e/b scenes.
I will say I'll watch the Breaking Dawn movies, as for keeping up w 'fandom drama', I hold no interest.

When you go into a book store and some of the most famous literary works in the English language have stamps of "Edward and Bella's favorite book" on it, you know something is wrong.

I was done with Twilight when I saw everyone and their mom wearing the fandom stuff. You couldn't walk down the street, turn on your TV, or listen to the radio without some mention of Twilight. And the fact that 90% of the people that like series now only likes it for the movies. Personally, the fan based stuff ruined it for me, and now I look at it all and laugh.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, I'm glad that you are back. You were missed. And your son is ADORABLE! ^_^

I agree! Twilight became that favorite song that you love until the radio plays it so much, you don't ever want to listen to it again.

BUT! Im in the middle of reading Twilight. It's nice. In my bad at night. At first it was hard couse I couldnt see "my world" (just stupid movie). but now I can feel it again. So Its ok. It's nice to come back ones in a year, maybe to this story.

I love what Twilight USED to be, and I'm still in love with the Twilight of the past. But now, Twilight has become a franchise, and I HATE the franchise, it ruined the feeling for me, and I hate that because I loved the way Twilight used to be people think I'm in love with the franchise too... ya, no. And with the growing popularity, the fan-base has changed, as obviously pointed out in this video and that saddens me. :(

Feel like alot of people have moved on from Twilight. I know that I'm not all about Twilight anymore. I sometimes even get anyonned at the the books now. I do still like Twilight but it not the frist anymore.

Congratulations Bailey! I have followed your videos for a long time...and when the fandom first started...it was amazing...and fun...and I met so many good friends out of it...but it got catty...and it started being EVERYWHERE...so I think the growth of the fandom actually killed the fandom...but I feel like it is like an obsession off my shoulders...no more having to get on the computer everyday to look up new updates!

With all the suck, there's got to be some win in there. I can't get over how big your baby boy has gotten! it's so weird because i feel the same way about twilight now. i think i'm just burnt out from how commercial it's gotten. i loved waiting for each book to come out and for the actors for the movie to be announced but now that you can't go anywhere without seeing something twilight-related, i lost interest. honestly i think most of the people who have been watching your videos from the beginning are probably feeling the same way. i'm sure you have plenty of other stuff to talk about on here :D

I get excited to see premires, ya. but like the true fans are the fans who read the books before all the movie crap. your wonderful and even if you dont talk about twilight im still gonna watch

Good for you Bailey! I originally subscribed because you were awesome, funny and liked Twilight. I didn't even liked the series at first but I watched a couple of your videos and everything started to grow on me. Then I started subbing to other twitubers. However, the twilight fanbase has gotten out of control. I used to get excited when I would go out and see a twilight reference because it was new but now I get so annoyed. Im glad your moving on from twilight as well. Its a memory now.

I look forward to seeing your non-Twilight videos. It's so great that you're back and over Twilight, seeing as I've been over it about as long.
I'd almost suggest to make a different channel on youtube for your new stuff, just so you'll be able to have a better chance of seperating yourself from Twilight so people will be viewing your videos as... well, just that, YOUR videos. Not an offbranch of some fandom. Stuff compleatly yours. I know I would subscribe.

I'm glad you pointed out the obvious, that the fandom turned into a big crappy mess.
I hate the movies and will have to wait a couple years to desensitize myself before I read the books again so I don't have nightmares about Kristen's vacant expression. They should have never made the movies and maybe some true fans would remain instead all the losers who jumped on the bandwagon.

When I first read Twilight, I loved it. Cause it was just so sweet and romantic. That's it though. Twilight is just like a paperback romance novel, but lacking the sex. XP It should never have gotten as crazy popular as it did, because that really did ruin a lot of its appeal. It's nice to see that so many people seem to be realizing how ridiculous it all is. The fandom for Twilight is without doubt the stupidest, and angriest, I've ever dabbled in. And your son is absolutely adorable. XD

By the way, there was a magazine that put out a special edition for Twilight last year, and it had a list of what makes you obsessed with Twilight, and one of them was "NoMoreMarbles is your hero". So don't pay attention to those idiots. You're a lot of peoples' hero. If you're getting sick of Twilight, go see Vampires Suck. It looks like it'll be really good.

I completely agree with you on all of this. When I first joined the fandom it was so much fun and just so lighthearted, but over the last year or so I've kind of felt the change in, atleast, my attitude towards the series. My friends actually had to force me to go out and see Eclipse. But I love your videos for your a amazing personality, not so much your Twlight info. I hope your doing well and I can't wait to see more of your videos. <3

Wonderful that your son is talking! I have an autistic son too. He's 19 now. If you have any questions, just ask! We got my son to talk by using the PECS system.

The first thing that got me to watch your videos was Twilight, but that wasn't what kept me watching. What kept me watching was your humor and your energy and your personality, and whether your videos are about Twilight or not, I'm still going to keep watching anything you put out. I think a lot of us have gotten over the insane obsessive love Twilight gave us, but it's made connections between people that can and should transcend a fictional book about vampires. Just like the Harry Potter fandom, Twilight has brought people together, and they should be able to move forward together without needing the books as glue.

i read twilight when it came out and used to be mocked for reading it. -_- then it became huge and the people who made fun of me for reading it were suddenly crazed fans and everywhere i turned someone had the book. ugh then everyone else got sick of fandom and i couldn't say i was a fan of the books without being forced into the category of the obnoxious fandom and i couldnt handle it. :/ and your son is adorable <3 with him and Adrian thats all you need. i wish i could have that :]
