I use this because it quite easy. But I fly more on the fly live. Nothing worse than dropping in a track the crowd dont take to. I can swap then out real quick beat match key change and not too much hassle. I did start out with SL1210's years ago then these new CDJ's were just a little to expensive for me. Although my local store let me try them extensively and they were GREAT. This is good for me as a part time DJ :)

Why don't you just mix the tunes together on decks? I don't understand the point of Mixmeister. It seems like a DJ tool for people who don't like DJing, so why bother? DJing should be instinctive, tactile, sexy and raw. This is too clinical, sterile and unfunky. Where's the joy and fun in sitting there programming cuepoints ffs? Just get some proper decks, blast the speakers and ACTUALLY DJ. I HATE MIXMEISTER - it's anathema to real DJs who can beatmatch by feeling the groove, not by waveform.

@mavernjones I do agree with you. But the reason this is out there is because some people do like doing it this way. My first deck were SL1210's and loved them. Recently I have been asked to do some party's after many years of not DJ'ing and looked at some CDJ's as most of my music is now on CD/MP3,it was like trying to ride a bike again.I didn't think I would pick it up as quick as I did but then the decent ones were expensive. This works for me and its quick to learn. I play on the fly more
