Totaka's Song is a hidden melody signature of composer Kazumi Totaka.
The Name "Totakeke" is a tribute to Totaka, since in Japanese any person is referred to by last name, subsequently, name being placed last. Ultimately, his nickname, Totaka K., sounds like Totakeke (K.K. Slider).
This secret melody is implicated in various games such as Mario series(16-bit), LoZ (techno), and Animal X-ing(acoustic/radio), and numerous amount of Nintendo games he helped develop.
Not to be annoying or anything, but the 15th (or so) note is wrong. If the tune is in C, the F you're playing should be an F sharp :)
The tune uses melodic major going up in the first half, and the melodic minor going down in the second half (third, sixth and seventh notes are flattened)
I didn't. I worked it out first on a piano, then figured it out from that for guitar. It's a very simple song, but if you're absolutely musically retarded and need a tab, there's a link to the one I made at the bottom of the wikipedia page for Kazumi Totaka.
I like how Phil Bond was listeing to this version on his cell phone in his second Totaka's Song video. But anyways, that sounds really good! I like it a lot.
Yo i like seen that you posted a comment on one of my vids, and i was wondering if it was sarcastic or fa real, either way your guitar strings are good
i started with electric, and a lowered action on THAT even, so it feels more natural to me. also, it's a classical guitar. i think they have lower actions, but i'm not sure.
I'm still fat guys oh no :( I'm sorry that I got fat, I will slim down

bostonboy777 4 years ago
it's pretty simple, mostly sticks to a C major scale. you should be able to figure it out easily.
nathew 4 years ago
thanks so much!

Sweet job, amigo! Mind sharing the tabs? Maybe I'm just retarded but I can't find them anywhere and I'm far too lazy to try by ear.

Amazing. Totakeke's my favorite video game character. I'm a pianist, not a guitarist. Don't got the guitar fingers. Great job!

That sounds real good! Probably the only KK slider song you can play by plucking a guitar. I'd like to see someone plucking out KK rock!

i was using a pick, but yeah... well, i could probably pluck out K.K. rock.
nathew 5 years ago
Bet ya couldn't do... Agent K.K.!
