Mr. Edwards Emily was a fool. She missed out on a very very fine man. My sister gave me the set when I was 12 and have loved it ever since. This tv movie held up to Landons ideal (The real Pa was not as loving.) and some parts of the books.

Thank you whoever put this up. This production was awful. I couldn't watch the whole thing. Why couldnt the producers have followed the story. Also the entire thing was shot in cold weather, no summer scenes of the "endless prairie..so it was not I didnt see a single shot of an actual prairie. Very corny. NO. I couldnt have done better. Real fans looking for a true to the book experience go ahead and frown.

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to post this. I only got to see a snippet from the middle of it on TV recently, but could tell I would want to see the whole thing sometime if I had the chance. Overall, it captured the flavor of the books pretty well. The casting was good and they did a pretty good job getting a tone that wasn't schmaltzy.
