instead of buying the bushing kit witch is 3 round plugs i packed it full of jb weld and have been using it since 09.Tthe plugs are going to fail just like they did when they put them in the motor.
@vsk909 Do you hear the motor working inside of the door?
If yes, then your bushings are probably worn out and need to be replaced. Or you could just buy a whole new motor. Either way, the motor has to come out of the door.
If no, your motor, or switch is probably bad. Chances are the motor is bad if the motor isn't turning. Common part, I believe most chain hardware stores sell new ones for about $35 or so. Not bad to have working windows again really.
@vsk909 If you can't roll the window up by hand that tells me that the bushings are probably good. The glass would probably pull up by hand otherwise, because the motor gears wouldn't be able to hold the glass in place.
If you are hearing it click, then it sounds like the switch is working. It sounds like power is getting to the motor.
But it's not moving. That leads me to believe the window motor is bad. No guarantee of course, but that's what it sounds like to me. Driver or pass window?
@vsk909 When you have time, Take the door panel off, pull out the speaker and unbolt the motor. (it's right there) and then pull the motor out. With the motor out, CAREFULLY move the glass up and down. If the glass moves without the window in there (it should) then the regulator is probably fine. Make sure it's not hanging up or anything.
I bet it's the motor. The regulators are rivited in. It's easier to change the motor first to check it out, motors are cheaper, and more prone to being bad.
@sixt9coug me again, i took out the motor and regulator and i saw that the motor was working so i put everything back greased on and now it goes up and down but it gets stuck like yours and the window gets scratched by the metal guides on both sides. ima put up a vid to show you
He has 3 bad plastic bushings inside of window motor gear. Autozone has the bushings in the self help section for about $4 i think. You have to pull off the door panel remove speaker. Disconnect window motor plug, u will see 3 8MM bolts holding the motor in place. Put a screw driver in window track for safety then remove 3 8MM bolts. Pull out motor through speaker hole. Take off the cover, remove lock washer then gear clean out debris, install new bushing, dab a little grease and install.
