  • Dear Sir:

This is John from Hong Guan Machinery Co., LTD. Now I am writing to you to seek the opportunity to establish the business relations with your company. We are one of the largest professional food machine manufacturing company in China and Taiwan. We have 52 years of business experience.

  • Looks like 43 shop at Glass Container Corp, Dayville, CT. Glad these days are long gone. Terrible hours (rotating shifts) ,. profoundly dangerous, hot as hell, noisy as hell, smoky as hell. On the bright side you had excellent comradery with fellow workers, excellent pay, long vacations, 1 week out at Christmas with pay and all the OVERTIME you want, working double shifts. Thanks to our union , the GBBA, we got time 1/2 after 8 hours and DOUBLE time after 12 hours, triple time on holidays

  • and as i understand there are 2 operators on that machine which is also the slowest running machine in ireland therefor making it the easiest to operate!!! I imagine the hard work would be in the cold end where there is only 1 line controller on the line!!

  • lastnight must of been a boring night for you !!....theres a world outside the glass factory Declan

  • @budleybhoy THE HOT END IS WHERE THE WORK IS .YOU DID NOT SEE THE OPERATOR SWABBING OR CHANGING A MOLD OR RING WHILE THE MACHINE IS RUNNING

  • i prefer to blow glass by hand, but im becoming increasingly convinced a job in the glass manufacturing field is a good idea.

  • Im just startin' my first job at the local glass factory XDDD interesting, but awfully hot, and loud place :SSSS Its hard to spend the whole worktime near the blowing machines at summertime :SS

  • yeah we work in an outdoor shop ourselves, it does get brutal. what factory are you at?

  • Im at O-I Manufacturing Magyarország (Hungary) Kft. its in american hands (USA) , and has lots of other factories around the world.. we are the Hungarian division :)

  • thats pretty neat. I wonder if they'd hire an american to work there? Would be pretty cool experience for me.

  • I guess they wouldnt hire ya here as a worker like I am.. but we often have visitors from other O-I factories.. even from the US!

+not speakin the language wont make things easy for you either :DD Not many workers speak foreign languages here :(

  • granted I don't speak magyar, but still.

  • I am an apprentice operator @ Anchor Glass Plant 41 In Elmira Heights NY . usually run the 8 section double gob machine currently making snapple tea bottles ...im very new at this shit so im far away from journey man status

  • any job openings for an apprentice glassblower? always was fascinated by those machines

  • hey, any possibility your neighbors from the south (pa) can come take a tour?

  • who is the manufaturer/country of this machine?

  • Nice looking operation, i am a journeyman operator/spare upkeep at the Saint-Gobain Plant in Ruston, Louisiana. I runa 12 section tandem double gob...usually around 300bpm

  • wel i work at the wr plant and im only an apprentice but hey gettin better by the day :)

  • amazing!!

  • you mean Oregon Jacksivile?

  • I run a 10 triple in ontario

  • if this video was shot at jacksonville, that machine is ten section triple, emmhart,i think this machine runs sbout 325 aminute with about 15 percent loss,6 percent in the back and the rest up front

  • this machine can't keep up making beer bottles.....

..too many beer drinkers out there....

    ....burp.

  • around 400 a minute,24,000 an hour almost 250,000 for 24 hours...around 20 to 30 machine like this on beer bottles across canada and the states!!!incredible but true...i work on machines like this and if it's stops even for a minute, the boss goes crazy!!!production, production, consuming, consuming!!!
