  • Since the rope obviously didn't wrap around the second plane's prop, Ernst acted prematurely in activating the parachute; he still could have cut the engine and glided to a safe landing with less chance of collateral damage on the ground. And yes, I am a pilot.

  • wow what an asshole pilot flying right into that guys path, there are too many fucktards with pilots licenses.

  • @NMoulana

are you joking? its theres allot more to flying than you think,

unless you are an experienced pilot shut the hell up

  • it's a good thing the towing plane didn't get tangled in the mess.

  • Cant understand why the guy in Cirrus that had a part of the wing come off still pulled the chute when he already had it under control! If it's under control, then land.

  • When a damaged aircraft is moving fast, a pilot can control it better, however, at low speeds, handling is much more difficult. It is one thing to have a damaged plane under control. It is another to land it.

  • 'i cant understand how it was so.. but it was so' lmfao!!!!

  • omg when the screen goes all red the moment of the impact i first thought it was blood... xD

  • At least here in Europe an airplane towing another has always priority, as far as I know. Regardless of the glider being towed, this seems like pilot error to me, since the towing plane came from right hand side and therefore it had priority.

  • imagine the view from the glider...!

  • Glider towing aircraft ALWAYS have priority... No they don't. Unpowered gliders have priority over powered planes when they are landing otherwise there is no US FAA rule like that covering two powered planes. The rule is don't hit each other!

  • i like how they make him seem like the victim, glider towing aircraft ALWAYS have priority, maybe he should have paid attention and that wouldn't have happened.

  • yes, he was at fault..This was a "puff" piece for BRS and Cirrus, interesting as O'brien owns one, but great technology, amazing to find a parachute test landing of a biplane on youtube from the early 1930's...

  • Well other came up from below, he cant see the ground at that angle, for obvius reasons such as a floor ofc.

But the other guy can always watch up.

  • He's flying a high wing airplane, they have great visibility of anything coming up from below you. It doesn't change the fact that he was the one that caused it, gliders are less maneuverable and always have the right of way.

  • @cka411 The glider had been disconnected; the tow-rope behind the tow plane snagged Hans' plane.

  • Hey im a get an ejection seat better....lol
