I have a hobo gun safe. I bought two heavy duty black lockers used at a Chicago fire station cheap, like 30 bucks each. I finished the inside and I put my guns in them.

I saw on youtube where a guy made a refrigerator into a gun safe. stash and hide, that'll be the rules of the future with the stasi police beating down peoples doors pre-dawn. once the computer go off line, theres no sense paying for insurance, license plate renewel or any property taxes.

CCW permits won't be required because the guys checking the cars going through the intersection, won't be asking for papers, not in English anyways.

If you can't afford a $600+ safe than these are perfect! Dicks sporting goods has a 6 gun stack-on for $70 right now! Most burglars are in and out pretty fast. Going to grab a couple things and run. My Xbox and guitars will be gone...hopefully my guns will stay

All I have is a cabinet too. I'd like to get a safe but besides being expensive I don't have much room for one. I'm more concerned about keeping my kids from meddling with them. In all the burglaries I've worked I've never seen a cabinet or safe broken into. If they can haul it off they will. If you come home and you're cabinet is broken into, then you have some very determined and sophisticated burglaries.

man, you have some nice stuff. For the price of one gun, you can get an adequate safe.

that should be the rule of thumb, a person should base their safe level on the value of their most expensive firearm.

I like Liberty safes, Canon safes look good, but I go by the weight of the safe, if it holds 48 long guns and weighs 450 lbs, something's not right.

My safe is 30" widex24x59 but it weighs empty 700lbs. put another 1000 lbs in it and bolt it to the floor, ain't moving easily.

Nice little cabinet. Does the job. I'm sure when your collection gets big enough you'll upgrade. What I recommend is wait for a local bank to go under the buy the building for pennies on the dollar and live in the vault.

It's not a fire safe or a burglar proof safe. As long as you know that, you got what you were looking for.

My tool box is made by stack on, its crap. It was free.

My ammo cabinet is the equivalent to a stack on, the Homark gun cabinet.

I especially like the future e-beggers putting their cabinets right next to their tool box, what more could a burglar ask for? milk and cookies, oh thats SANCHO CLAUS!

I traded some scrap gold for a nice 24 gun safe a month ago. I got more for it than I would have at a gold scrap buyer and he paid less for the same amount of gold than he could at a shop....so win win bro.I am thankful for my family(my dog buddy is part of my family) and friends
