I stopped watching Indian movies after Pakeezah and death of Meena Kumari. In 2011, accidentally I came upon the Mandi, another one of Shabana and Smita Patil's great performance. Since then I am searching for and watching movies where Shabana, Smita or Tabu has acting rolls.

Land reforms should happen in all the states in India. I have so many friends who have acres and acres of land in their villages, but live in Indian cities and abroad while poor low class people toil in their fields. Land shud be distributed among people who work in their fields.

many land lords in gujarat, MP,UP etc take advantage of lower caste women who work for them. sometimes, they pay them money a couple thousand for nightly visits.

rapes of poor women in front of their husbands is common in india and pakistan.

now that the sex ratio is increasing aka fewer females, these things will increase.

you may not like it but its reality.
