  • Fantastic video and I love this song so much! Thanks for posting!

  • Does anyone know who made this song?

  • Marlene looks so beautiful in colour! <3

  • what's the name of the song?:) heard Bette Davis in an interview say one day Marlene Dietrich went straight from the set of this movie, in the actual clothes from the movie and covered from head to toe in gold paint, to entertain the soldiers during the war.a great soul she had.

  • @iutuber1 Was Marlene ever in gold paint for this film? I don't remember! But I do know that she was in gold paint for Kismet.

  • estoy confundido!

esta película es de 1936, ¿que no era "lo que el viento se llevó" (de 1939) la 1a película a color?

  • annpham this is my fave movie of all time,

  • Great vid! Wonderful Technicolor cinematography, and Marlene looks fab! Thanks for sharing.

  • Well, yes, I think she is gorgeous in color, but, why oh why did she wear her eyebrows so HIGH, nobody's eyebrows are that high..it looked so phony...

  • i LOVE this movie

i love when we see her play against the saloon/cabaret girl type

the two of them brought the dialogue to life, very adept at playing the themes of honor devotion and sacrifice

also visually stunning, and quite haunting

thanks so much for this tribute

    really good

  • It's such a revelation to see Marlene in colour! Thank you for this treat!

  • Marlene knew how to look great at all times!!! Though it's a little bit unusual for me to see her in colours and I prefer her black and white image too, like in 'Shanghai Express" for example!

  • Thanks Ann, what a beautiful video and great tribute to Marlene !

  • AMAZING! This is one of my favorite Marlene films. It's so powerful! Both of their faiths are so extreme and it really showcased their talent!

    WELL DONE!

  • Great video and Great actress!

  • who would have thought that the goddess of black & white, photographed like no other by Von Sternberg, could blow us away again in technicolor? She looks unbelievable, and it is so wonderful to see her colouring. Thankyou so much Annpham, I've always wanted to see Dietrich in colour!

  • Honestly An, this video quality is Divine!

No wonder this movie won Best Cinematography, will you just take a look at it! I would really want to watch this movie! Thank you for this video An!

Marlene looked Ravishing but purely innocent!

  • Thank you! Actually Dietrich's movies in general are often masterpieces of visualization. She is a brilliant cameraman herself and knows the light better than any other actresses. You can see how well she lit herself up on screen. ;)
