I feel sorry for the person on this video.Im not narcoleptic but I CAN have sleep paralysis if I want to and I use sleep paralysis to have OBE.So far nothing scarry happened to me because whenever it happens I don't panic or freak out.AND I MANAGED TO CONQUER THAT INCREDIBLE FEAR that gets you when you have sleep paralysis because i imediatly use it for out-of-body experiences. It's like in a roler-coaster:you either piss your pants or have the greateast experience of your life
every time i get sleep paralysis, i force myself to get back to sleep rather than trying to wake myself up. cos the more you try to wake up, the more you'll panic and it'll be harder to move.
heyyyy omg thats sooooo bad i have only had that for up to 20 mins at the most tht poor girl i have catalepsy and narcolepsy and slight sleep paralysis could get that bad and dose anyone gettt lie really bad headache with tht tablet provigl.
I didn't know you could talk! Wow I have suffered from Sleep Paralysis ever since I was a child, and I always tried to scream or make sounds to wake up my mom or my partner...they never did. I haven't had an episode in years but after 30 years of that I learned how to snap out of it by moving one side of my face. Thank you for posting this, I thought for many years I was the only one that had this weird thing.
At first you cannot talk at all. This experience was extremely severe, and even trying to move and wriggle could not get me out. After the first hour I was able to begin moving my jaw slightly, and by the 1 1/2 hr mark, I was able to talk as you saw. The SP was that strong.
I have had episodes like that. Cataplexy/sleep paralysis. It could last a minute, or hours. These are signs of potential Narcolepsy, but there are other sleep disorders that can, if severe enough, also look like Narcolepsy. Sleep disorders are not always easy to determine because many of them cause similar symptoms depending on the level of sleep deprivation. I'm assuming that, since you are not on Disability, that you are not diagnosed. I wish you luck, and do not give up.
I do have Narcolepsy with Catapleyx, Fibromyalgia, and RA. I am trying to get SSI disability for the second time in my life, since my husband(the videographer in this vid) left me with nothing.
I've been going through this for the last 10 years and it's getting worse, I'm going to film my sleep and see what I look like in that state, at least it will reassure me that the people that I see are not real. I think it pretty much looks like you, I try to talk and move but I can't. It reached a point now that I'm afraid to go to sleep.
I have sleep paralysis also (and also on effexor and klonopin). I have mine when im exhausted and have had up to abt 20 in abt 5 minutes time. I have a problem with breathing with mine. In that i DONT breath. Is there anyone else out there that does that too?
Mam, your condition is one of the many reasons why I long for the day for Jesus Christ to come back. I noticed you like the Bible. I suggest consecrating a fast and to petition God for healing, for his glory. Not for your benefit, but for his Glory. SP sounds like it's some type of demonic possession. Please do not be appalled by my comment. Demons are very common and they are just smthn that has to be dealt with. 1 thng. ur music must GO! Worship/Praise ONLY. Immerse yourself in the Bible
Your condition mam, is one of the reasons I would like to see this place destroyed and for Jesus Christ to come back. I know a person who was healed of cancer by intense prayer, fasting and faith in Jesus Christ. I noticed that one of your books that you like is the Bible. If you are desperate for healing and would do anything. Might I suggest to search deep in your heart to see if your life reflects that of a Christian and seek Jesus and give him glory. Consecrate a fast and petition God for
I get sleep paralysis commonly when I fall asleep listening to music. It only lasts maybe a minute. I felt kind of a snap back into reality when I'm able to move again. Pretty creepy, but an interesting experience.
it happens to me almost every week but i think i found out what is the cause sometimes when im tired like really really tired and have to wake up early the next day my mind try to awake me but my body its just tired then is when it happens im sorry for my bad English
I wish you the best...and I want to thank you so much for posting this video. I had an episode of sleep paralysis last night. It is such a frightening experience! My heart and prayers go out to you, and thanks for being courageous enough to give the world a glimpse at your life.
I have experienced sleep paralysis many times and it is extraordinarily frightening. I wish you luck with this and everything you do to endeavor treatment. Ive only had it a few dozen times, I can not imagine a few times a week. Good luck kiddo.
Just for SP, you cannot get an easy SSI or SSDI check. It must be so bad you canot work and earn a gainful income. SSI is not much, and SSA will fight you every step of the way. It is the opposite of easy, and you must PROVE you are very disabled.
Jesus Christ.. that's horrible. As aforementioned from other sleep paralysis sufferers, I cannot IMAGINE being struck w/it for 30 mins. The longest for me is probably 2-3 minutes. Usually I get it once every month, or so. But recently, I've been getting it consecutively for the past 3 nights. ):
It really feels horrible. My heart begins to race 'cause of how scared I am & I try so hard to concentrate on moving one finger & sometimes it does not work. A regular sleeping pattern is what I need.
This has happened to me occasionally. It only lasts for a few seconds, but it is still terrifying. I feel utterly helpless in this state. I couldn't imagine experiencing it for an hour and a half. I'm sorry that you have to go through this.
Please DO NOT bother to post insuting or mean comments on this video. I am the woman in this video. I do not appreciate hearing how I need to lose weight or die. I instantly remove such comments. Thank You. Positive remarks or even remarks in disagreement will almost always be published. Please remember to treat others as you would want to be treated. I did't plan to experience severe Sleep Paralysis ahead of time, nor did I get the chance to get a professional make over prior to.
Please can you tell me how to get rid of sleep paralysis? I've been having them eversince my childhood, and this occurs like once or twice in a week. In fact, I'm asking you right now because half an hour ago (from now), I've "survived" two in a row.
When it happens to me, I try at the moment to speak, scream for help, or try to move any part of my body, all of this, in vain, then starts to suffocates with feelings of weight pressure on my chest along with feelings of being strangled.
The Only things which have every helped me are Anti-depressants which suppress Rem sleep, and Xyrem. Those two are the only which help reduce severity for me, but that is IF I can get them. Lately it is has been alot like this video without my meds. Stinkin RX Assistance programs seem to not get that I have no income, thus no way to prove such!
Hi, i watched this video and i am amazed how severe your case of sleep paralysis is. I get this from time to time, but my lasts only seconds up to few minutes max. I was reading about it, and it looks like cause of sleep paralysis in my case is stress and not enough sleep. Mostly it happens during the day. Now i pretty sure you already researched, and know all the possible causes of sleep paralysis, but you might want to do some research on OBE (Out of the body experience).
You should search for connection between OBE and Astral projection with sleep paralysis. There might be some techniques that you could use to ease your case, or maybe wake up.
wow I couldn't imagine having this for an hour and a half, the most i've experienced is probably only five minutes. I'm sorry you have to go through this.
Oh man, that sucks. I get sleep paralysis maybe once every few months but nowhere as bad as this. I can usually snap out of it by myself. If I can't, I just give up and try to go back to sleep no matter how uncomfortable I feel.
I know what you are going through , mine only lasts minutes and thats HELL. Even thinking about the paralysis lasting that long is so uncortable whilst im wake.
I'm really glad that I'm not the only one. I know that I have sleep paralysis and I know that no "demons" or other spiritual figure holding me down but I cant take seem to not think about it. now, it gets worse and worse. the more I think about a demon holding me down, the more it happens. and I cant get my mind away from demons. I need help.
in order for me to get out of sleep paralysis. i make my brain talk itself into waking the rest of me. it takes a lot of brain power but i am usually out of it within a min
i had sleep paralysis just last week, really super scary. but i had previously read up on it so i knew to stay calm. i heard noises and felt a "presence"
i never expected it to happen to me. truly terrifying if i didnt know better. it was hard to breathe i could move my eyes but that was it. i ended up punching my boyfriend as soon as i snapped out of it. i hope it never happens again
i already experience this several times..in which i was already awake but can't move a thing except that i can say out some words but on minimal volume....
I assure you it is. This is me, and as a severe Narcoleptic with many years of experience, I assure you, this is severe SP. Some can't move at all, at first I could not, but overtime, sometimes like this, you can get your mouth/vocal cords to move when the rest of the body cannot.
my own way to get out of SP fast is breathing as fast as I can while i move frantically all the body parts i can control -usually my toes. after a few seconds of hyperventilation and toewiggling I get out of paralysis.
SP hallucinations are scary until you realize it is just delusions. Once i managed to open eyes during an early morning SP episode and, after a couple of open-eye hallucinations as mad as s**t, but very entertaining :P, i looked at my right arm and attempted to raise it. I had the vivid sensation of having my arm lifted up but... it was down and paralyzed. so I understood why my night light never turns on when i push the button... because I'm just thinking of doing that.
@hipsterical ooh i sorta had that aswell i opened my eyes and felt like i was moving my arms i had the sensation where i couldnt see my hands but could feel them moving around i tried to find em but they were invisible is this like u had?
I know this statmet might start a conflict but its the turth. The only why to be totally free from this so called "sleep paralysis" is to pray to Jesus before you go to bed. If you don't belive in God fine suit your self and keep sleeping in terror. If you wana know if he real put him to the test for this situation. Believe in his name. Peace everyone.
I assure you this is a Medical condition. I am a Christain, and I pray at least once or twice each day. While Jesus and God send me comfort, prayer alone will not prevent or guarantee SP to not occur.
This is extremely helpful! I always thought I was being posessed or something when it happened and its scares the shit out of me! i have it happen to me at least once a night. I'm so glad that i did research and found out that alot of people are experiencing this and maybe im not so weird after all
I am glad, too. This is one of the main reasons I posted this video. Sure, as the person in this vid, it makes me very vulnerable, but since I now approve comments, I can better control them. It is not demons... I am a Christain and I pray regularly. God comforts, but SP and HH still happen. and I have learned to cope the best I can. Hugs, Rachel
my first time i felt this it feels scary. but then i learned to controlled it . my method i use to calm down and center my thoughts . now i do something called sleep consciousness.
this only happens to me during the day never at night, i dont see any ghostly visions like others but today i levitated and that freaked me out. its scary and just takes the piss. if its a witch or demon i want 2 c that sucker face to face coward picking on me wen am paralysed, grow a pair. if its scientific well and gud.
just wana ask if anyone has ever tried not fight back during paralysis? what happens?
i really hate sleep paralysis. i feel like i cant move or even breath sometimes. Min feels like somebody is crushing me with a door or something. sometims i try to talk but i cat . but i kno i can talk so just think in my mom god plz bring me out of this. and sometimes it works. BUT I HATE THIS
i used to get this alot and i was convinced a spirit was trying to take me,i had the sensation that something was tryina pull me out of my body,i also hovered above my bed or at least it felt like i hovered it was weird man!
Interesting Q! I hightly doubt it, but it is theoretical that if one became so terrified during SP, esp with HH that one could experience a Heart Attack.
I have sleep paralysis also. Its just your mind has a part in the brain where it shuts down your body while your asleep so you cant harm yourself by doing things such as sleep walking. But in some cases when you wake up your brain doesnt turn this saftey mechanism off just then. So you are aware of your surroundings but you have no control of your motor skills
I have this all the time. i take Trazadone every night to combat it. Nothing really ever helps you to feel normal when you have narcolepsy with cataplexy.
Two types of Paralysis. I had hallucinating sleep paralasys and it's a terrifying experience. I had it twice when i was in Iraq and have not had one since. My roommates can somewhat hear me say "i can't move" and it took them about 2 minutes to finnally wake me up. I remember desperatley crawling to the floor to the door but with no luck as i can hear them asking me "whats wrong?"
i think its just the opposite of sleep walking becuz i remember when i was a kid i was like "how come i never sleep walk?" becuz all the stories you hear about it.
think about it
sleep walking, your bodys awake but your minds awake
sleep paralysis your bodys asleep but your minds awake
but still its the scariest shit that has ever happen to me!!!
I had this a couple months ago. Mainly from stress and sleep deprivation. Scared me nearly to death though. Felt as if a demon was sitting on my chest sucking the life right out of me. Major hallucinations as well. It also felt like when your foot falls asleep but it was all over my body. Had it for like 2 nights then it went away. I just focused on moving one part of my body which I managed to move then I snapped right out of it. I pray for those who have this.
yea this happend to me twice and both times two times in a row one short and one long i didnt know what it was i thought the first time it was a ghost inside me yes it seems insane to even think that then it happend againg last night and then i started thinking i was having seizures so i asked my bio teacher and we looked it up and its sleeping paralysis but now i know what it is it hopefully wont make me shit myself again (obliviosly didnt litteraly shit myself)
What I've been told about sleep Paralysis is that is that sleep Paralysis happens when you wake up and experience your dreams when your awake Like Hallucinations and that your body tries to protect you from hurting you by paralyzing itself so wont get hurt or anything. This kinda made sense to me which would explain how people get "abducted"...
Well anyways I've went through sleep a couple times and i was scared until i knew what was happening
Go see a Sleep Specialist Doc if you can. Get a Sleep Study as soon as possible. Anti Depressants, and IF you have Narcolepsy, Xyrem can offer help, as they help decrease the frequency and severity when/If I can get them... as I am uninsured.
this happened to me a few times. I USED to think it was ghosts and for a while i was convinced. this morning it happened while i was home alone. It lasted a while and i couldnt breath so i started saying the "our father " prayer in my head and it went away. so idk i think its just a nightmare type of thing. Like you dont wake up from a dream but your eyes are open.
I have REM sleep and I've had sleep paralysis before, but not for many years now. I've also had conversations with my boyfriend in my sleep where I have responded to him speaking to me. Sadly, I've also managed to scratch or bite myself in my sleep and I've also punched and kicked him too ;(
this has happened to me twice tht i remember and you neva forget it, it made me a fully grown man weep going through it each time, the first time was bout a year ago, and i heard something say in my ear "try this game" thts when i became aware i couldnt move and i wept with fear of something in the room whilst i was vulnerable.. the 2nd occasion was last night and although far less terryfying than the first time, still made me afraid
i have suffered from this since childhood. It doesn't bother me any more because I worked out how to come out of it. The key is to fight the urge to panic. Breath normally, try to forget you are paralysed and you will naturally come out of it.
I have the same thing happen to me too. Although I don't think it lasts any longer than a few minutes, but I'm not really sure. It only happens when I fall asleep on my back as far as I can remember. I also see and or feel things on or around me.
This has nothing to do with aliens or ghosts. And it wasn't your god that woke you up.
So fucking scary! SO fucking scary! Happened to me a weeks ago & also last night. Only lasted like half a minute but probably one of the most terrifying experiences of my life... :(
No Joke, I am in the military and had this since about 1995, told them about it but they confused it for sleep terrors but it is not. I dont sit up screaming the running across the room, but rather like this woman. for the most part you are saying "wake me up" your muscles are tired everything feels weak, but you know exactly what is going on around you. what works for me is that i sleep near the side edge of my bed. I usually have power in my legs so i swing them until im falling. i wake up.
Apparently you dont believe me... I had this really bad when i was 20.... Its fear. waking up while your asleep isnt bad. its the fear that must be faced. once you do, you learn to control your dream world. You can take this further as to pull up blackscreens as master meditators do. But tipicle scared humans brush this aside as a problem. Fix it, stop running from fear. Accept this higher state of awareness as a gift. I mean it!! was she a sleep walker?? Tell her Move the muscles in her face.
The worst part is you can manifest such emmense fear. The best thing to do is move the muscles in your face, this is the quickest way to wake up... But facing the demons & entering a world you can learn to control is much more powerful as an end result. You will break yourself of this as you just go back into the dreamworld with no fear. But seriously, get her off of those drugs or any drugs that your govt. is lying to you about. Theyre all VERY dangerous. Anti-depressants & psychotics are bad.
I've been going through that since I was 15. I am currently 17 now, but I'm still going through it. I hear strange sounds and it feels like I can't move but I fight it off and fall back to sleep. Just to say it's on and off. -- Shaq--
Listen, I've had sleep paralysis a lot as well. I've been able to mumble sounds while trying to scream for help. One time my gf woke me up cause I kept making sounds and on top of that she said my eyes were open staring right at her, which I was doing to get her to wake me up.
I've had this many times! Sometimes a few times a week. One time I had a really weird one, I was completely paralyzed and started hearing music coming from the room. The songs that I were hearing were Jay Z, and Beyonce, but the weird thing was that there were lyrics and verses in the songs that I've never heard before, lyrics that don't exist, but it sounded good with the song. After a bit, the songs started to speed up and slow down. I was so scared, man.. im getting goosebumps just rememberin
Relax, do not be afraid. The condition is common and can be dealt with. Just remember to breath calmly, take control (prepare your mind in advance) and force yourself awake, really awake. Then relax, debrief yourself and go back to sleep. Try to find out what causes the incident, on my behalf it was nightshifts or staying up late. And of course being exhausted, though this can be bothersome, its not dangerous in any way. Really, there are no such things as ghosts.
it's been a month since i last experience this, back then it wasn't so bad because i've been used to it since i'm experiencing it thrice or twice a week...but months have passed I've forgot about this one already and this time it's even much more intense, i can perceive a presence of 3 people...a woman, a man and i can't identify the other one who i felt lying in the bed beside me...creepy and the man tells me to leave my room...
i have expierenced this too i have to say its kind of horrible i can see everything but i can`t move i try to move my hands but i can`t but it was for few min to me
This has happened to me before and it happened again last night. I am 19yo male perfectly healthy etc. It happened about 6 times in a row and occurred whenever i drifted off to sleep - the first time lasted several minutes but each time after that lasted very briefly. I was seemingly concious, and was viewing my room from above and could even see myself alseep. The scary thing however was i was completely paralyzed and i could FEEL that i was paralyzed, it was extremely terrifying.
i woke up from this not too long ago. i was up but had trouble functioning. my brother had said something so i hard the hardest time turning my head to reply to his comment so i just went back to sleep. this happens to me a lot. sometimes i'm just sitting down and i can feel it coming over me.
It sucks. Even when I try to move my head it's like super slow. I try to make a sound, but nothing happens than I go right back to sleep.
Though, I also have dreams where I just feel at total peace and that I have a total connection with the Universe. Like the trip Dave takes at the end of 2001 a Space Odyssey.
i watched this video and right after i prayed that God would keep his angels posted around my bed for protection while i slept. about an hour or 2 into my sleep it happened as usual i. the pressure in my head and ears, not being able to speak, or move and difficulty breathing. the Spirit told me to be calm and take authority. i did and it was gone in less than a minute. i struggle with this alot but i notice that when i ask for angelic protection its not as strong and it leaves asap when i pray.
my sister got this a few times and she had like a nightmare cuz she said all the stuff animals were up and dancing..wen it happened to me i thought i was gonna die..the second time it happened to me i wasnt worried that much but i just saw my sisters ipod playing some music..it feels horrible
It really could. For me severe Cataplexy can turn into a horrible hyprid of SP and HH, but with the semi-outside awareness of your surroundings of Cataplexy.
this sp shit got me twice yesterday wtf i was hearing my self shout loudly i knew this was gone come anyway because i woke up in the middle of the night but i was scared cuz of what i was seeing some black cloth flying in air (UFP} unidentified flying person
this happens me all the time im closing my eyes after like 30 seconds
i dreamed once that someone opened the door to my house and started to walk against me, i was pretending to sleep on a sofa cuz i thought it was my brother then he stood there for a while and started to poke me and i was gonna scare him but then there was no1 there and my cats were worried they seemed like they had saw something
I was so scared when this happened to me once, and then five times in the two weeks. Since then I never sleep facing up because I know I'll start hearing voices, or that something will pin me down and tug on me.
I know that it is only sleep paralysis, and that my brain is awake, but my body can't move, however, it still scares me to death.
That happens to me sometimes, I try to wake up and can't, try to scream and can't. It's very frustrating. But I usually don't just fall into it, it's usually when I'm taking a short nap . . . it's a very strange predicament to be in. And your brain feels like mush when you finally break out of it.
Usually when I have this I have the illusion of being able to move. I usually try to move my arm, because I imagine there being a cell phone in my hand. With great effort, it appears as if I've gotten my hand to my face. Then, I blink and find myself in the exact same position I was initially in, arm to my side.
omg i know ! that makes me cry for hours . are u a lucid dreamer like me?
i control my dreams and i am very aware that i am dreaming
but when its time to wake up and i find my self paralyze wile hallucinating that my family members at home and i will just lie still waiting for them to come in
then i realize that no one is coming to save me and i wake up just to find my self on sleep paralysis again.. that really aggravates me cuz wile i am in it i cant breath
i hate when this happens..i've woken up from it before though. through will power alone. it's quite possibly some of the worst experiences i've ever had...aside from having to go to court.
I agree its not demon possession but its known that in the dream realm we can be connected to a spiritual world... according to science this is not true but according to science God doesn't exist either. I fight it off with a prayer. I think it is demons trying to scare you. My friend is not spiritual at all and this never happened to her. But I'm christian and I've experienced it. Some pagan people actually use this stage to try and talk to ...unworldly things.
next time you get this try to strain your abdomen , even if you think you can't do it just concentrate on doing so.i shit myself once but it DEFINITELY work for me :D cheers!
I have had alots of these in my life and so badly want to studied what you can all do with your mind. I believe it is not evil because I have never felt the evil around me. You will know when you are around demons! It is your own mind that your trapped in. You need to learn how to work your mind to contorl this. Good luck!
i had sleep paralysis 2x in one day.i got out of it by forcing my fingers to move and trying to breath deeply.the weird thing was....i saw a black creature beside my bed......i think it was just a hallucination.....or is it?
Thanks, I first try my arms, legs, fingers, etc. After all that fails, I just stop for several min, and then try again. Eventually, it works. All of us with SP pretty much see black or ominous figures ... they are your dreams thrust upon the real world, they are Hypnogogic Hallucinations.
I have this too. I'm like semi conscious. My eyes were open, and I could hear myself breathing heavily...yet I can't move my body or scream. When I force myself to wake up from this, my heart is beating very, very heavily, and there would be goosebumps all over my body and I'm sweating.
One time last night, I really thought I was going to die. I was severely out of breath, as if an unseen figure was sitting on top of my lungs.
This is the reason for my insomnia. I'm afraid to go to sleep.
I have this off and on, as well. Sometimes I feel like there is something in the room with me. Other times I think I'm in a deep, dream like state between sleeping and waking, having to fight to wake up. I've thought that maybe it's low blood pressure perhaps. I don't know.
This happened to me one time, I awoke from a dead sleep unable to move any part of my body and I was mumbling just like the lady in this video. It felt like there was some sort of presence that was near me and I was trying to get away. It was very scary this shit is no joke you really are completely helpless.
I've had this once before. I could have sworn my eyes were the only thing I could move. I saw what appeared to be demons and goblins as well. Pretty fuckin weird if you ask me.
thank you for this, i get Sleep Paralysis on occasions, i experience some demon little bastard choking me,i do even curse at it,like challenge it cos it happens quiet a bit. now i realise its normal..tought i was being haunted from a demon...phew!! thanks again!!
ssleeping on yur stomach desnt prevent it bcuz i always sleep on my back nd the paralysis happens;; for the last 6 times i've had sleep paralysis, i"ve been able to stop it or break out of ut by trying really hard to move my hands, arms, legs, and head;
I have these episodes every now and then. My best advice is to stay calm and try to wiggle your toes and fingers. Eventually they'll get moving and the rest of your body will follow. Works for me everytime. And keep your eyes closed! You can see some pretty weird shit in this state.

good video. i always wondered how i act in sleep paralysis mode. would have been a lot more interesting if you would have been quiet for a minute so i could observe better.
I was trying to get out of it so much! Perhaps there will be a next time, but I doubt my SP/HH will ever be documented on video anytime soon, bc my hubby(camera man) left me last April.
This surely looks like an unusual variety of sleep paralysis. The ones I've experienced haven't even lasted half that long, nor have my eyes been shut althrough the event. I can only imagined how uncomfortable and terrifying this is.
OMFG This has been happening to me all night since i was stressed out all day i havent slept all night and i wont sleep all night. ITS JUST PLAIN ANNOYING FOR ME. it doesnt allow me to sleep. i usually dont hallucinate cause when it happens i get annoyed and paranoid and start seeing random things.
This has happened to me last night, you cant move, you cant screem, my eyes actually rolled to the back of my eyes, and i could see the stars in the sky through my window for some reason, i hope this is normal because i strate away thought of that film ''paranormal activity''.... but im glad im not the only 1.
and another thing....im a atheistic satanist... do you see me on here trying to shove my religious bs down your throat? hell no. why dont you just let these people find help without your psycho-babble bullshit. if it was a demon problem i think god would be happy to help.
Gah! I just had sleep paralysis tonight! not an hour ago. I've had it for 6 years, sometimes three to four times a week. Its crazy and terrifying, but strangely, its good to know there are other people who understand. Well, I've always known there were others, but I havent ever met anyone. Just never stop fighting it, is all I can say.
Yea, i had this 3 times in a raw today..Woke up paralized and then i slept again, after about 10 min i woke again up and had this again. The 3rd time i got bored and stand up..I also saw hallucinations in my mirror
This shit Happens to me twice a week! Damn that sleep paralysis. But you know what? I am use to it now.If I know that sleep paralysis is gonna occur, i am desperately trying to move a single finger to stop the "event" Guys, I am suggesting that if sleep paralysis is happening, do not try to panic or force to fight it coz base on my experience it will make things worst! If you want to stop it just think of one of your fingers and then force it to move and that will help stop the sleep paralysis.
The first thing to help your sleeping paralysis is be aware of it when it occurs, don't panic try to move your fingers. To really help it is leave your TV on or a radio. It helps me.
Definitely Real! I live this nightmare of severe Narcolepsy every Day, and if you by chance ever experience such, you will understand. Give me a Bible and a Lie Detector Test... I will Pass... Wanna Bet? I sure could use the money!
I've had sleep paralysis a few times, the first time scared the shit out of me but when I knew what it was i actually kind of enjoyed it

every time i get sleep paralysis, i force myself to get back to sleep rather than trying to wake myself up. cos the more you try to wake up, the more you'll panic and it'll be harder to move.

PutyKat 1 year ago 4

Thanks

Now i pretty sure you already researched, and know all the possible causes of sleep paralysis, but you might want to do some research on OBE (Out of the body experience).
srki80 1 year ago 15
You should search for connection between OBE and Astral projection with sleep paralysis. There might be some techniques that you could use to ease your case, or maybe wake up.

Well anyways I've went through sleep a couple times and i was scared until i knew what was happening

this has happened to me twice tht i remember and you neva forget it, it made me a fully grown man weep going through it each time, the first time was bout a year ago, and i heard something say in my ear "try this game" thts when i became aware i couldnt move and i wept with fear of something in the room whilst i was vulnerable.. the 2nd occasion was last night and although far less terryfying than the first time, still made me afraid
kmconway88 1 year ago
i have suffered from this since childhood. It doesn't bother me any more because I worked out how to come out of it. The key is to fight the urge to panic. Breath normally, try to forget you are paralysed and you will naturally come out of it.
TricVision 1 year ago
I know how this feels.
It has happen to me many times. Usually when im tired or I stayed up to late.
At first experience, you may feel very terrified and think that some kind of "evil" is with you. Do NOT panic.
Take deep breaths. Inhale, exhale. Try to remain calm.
This event will not take a very long time.
Usually from a few secounds to a few minutes. Just keep breathing (not hyperventilating), and keep calm.
ItzmePhilip 1 year ago
I have the same thing happen to me too. Although I don't think it lasts any longer than a few minutes, but I'm not really sure. It only happens when I fall asleep on my back as far as I can remember. I also see and or feel things on or around me.
This has nothing to do with aliens or ghosts. And it wasn't your god that woke you up.
Come on people....

LendMeYourHand 1 year ago
ya,this happens me,sick!!
mogbasterd 1 year ago
The worst part is you can manifest such emmense fear. The best thing to do is move the muscles in your face, this is the quickest way to wake up... But facing the demons & entering a world you can learn to control is much more powerful as an end result. You will break yourself of this as you just go back into the dreamworld with no fear. But seriously, get her off of those drugs or any drugs that your govt. is lying to you about. Theyre all VERY dangerous. Anti-depressants & psychotics are bad.
LendMeYourHand 1 year ago
I've been going through that since I was 15. I am currently 17 now, but I'm still going through it. I hear strange sounds and it feels like I can't move but I fight it off and fall back to sleep. Just to say it's on and off. -- Shaq--

I was so scared, man.. im getting goosebumps just rememberin
cky182dude 1 year ago
Relax, do not be afraid. The condition is common and can be dealt with. Just remember to breath calmly, take control (prepare your mind in advance) and force yourself awake, really awake. Then relax, debrief yourself and go back to sleep. Try to find out what causes the incident, on my behalf it was nightshifts or staying up late. And of course being exhausted, though this can be bothersome, its not dangerous in any way. Really, there are no such things as ghosts.

That happens to me sometimes, I try to wake up and can't, try to scream and can't. It's very frustrating. But I usually don't just fall into it, it's usually when I'm taking a short nap . . . it's a very strange predicament to be in. And your brain feels like mush when you finally break out of it.
starlightcheese 1 year ago
Usually when I have this I have the illusion of being able to move. I usually try to move my arm, because I imagine there being a cell phone in my hand. With great effort, it appears as if I've gotten my hand to my face. Then, I blink and find myself in the exact same position I was initially in, arm to my side.

omg i know ! that makes me cry for hours . are u a lucid dreamer like me?
i control my dreams and i am very aware that i am dreaming
but when its time to wake up and i find my self paralyze wile hallucinating that my family members at home and i will just lie still waiting for them to come in
then i realize that no one is coming to save me and i wake up just to find my self on sleep paralysis again.. that really aggravates me cuz wile i am in it i cant breath
funny thing i live on my own
almasdp 1 year ago
Typically, I am never aware enough to lucid dream, and often when I try, my dreams do not listen to my demands.
discuscatcher 1 year ago
i have safer it for a wile now
but i have never seen such sever case.
it normally takes me a few minutes to get out of it, except on the days that i get narcolepsy and dont wake up for 19 hours ..
but in which case as soon as someone shakes me i get back to reality ..
but its soo horrible i know what she is going through .. i wish u all the best and hope u find a solution soon
i am over coming it i would tell u what i did to over come it but i dont know it my self.

i hate when this happens..i've woken up from it before though. through will power alone. it's quite possibly some of the worst experiences i've ever had...aside from having to go to court.

Good luck!

i had sleep paralysis 2x in one day.i got out of it by forcing my fingers to move and trying to breath deeply.the weird thing was....i saw a black creature beside my bed......i think it was just a hallucination.....or is it?
judetan666 1 year ago
Thanks, I first try my arms, legs, fingers, etc. After all that fails, I just stop for several min, and then try again. Eventually, it works. All of us with SP pretty much see black or ominous figures ... they are your dreams thrust upon the real world, they are Hypnogogic Hallucinations.
discuscatcher 1 year ago

This happens sometimes with me.
But it hasnt happened in months now x]
Last time it happened I was able to control myself drifting in and out of it...which was freaky but awesome o.o
The first time It happeneed i was really scared
I hallucinated an african-indian thingy that looked tribal or something
It was just hanging on my doorway
But now its more like I can just see my room and thats it
I work on moving my fingers and arm first, then I eventually move
I just breath really deep :]

I've had this once before. I could have sworn my eyes were the only thing I could move. I saw what appeared to be demons and goblins as well. Pretty fuckin weird if you ask me.

I have these episodes every now and then. My best advice is to stay calm and try to wiggle your toes and fingers. Eventually they'll get moving and the rest of your body will follow. Works for me everytime. And keep your eyes closed! You can see some pretty weird shit in this state.

good video. i always wondered how i act in sleep paralysis mode. would have been a lot more interesting if you would have been quiet for a minute so i could observe better.
thanks for the vid though.

I was trying to get out of it so much! Perhaps there will be a next time, but I doubt my SP/HH will ever be documented on video anytime soon, bc my hubby(camera man) left me last April.

It looks harrowing.

This surely looks like an unusual variety of sleep paralysis. The ones I've experienced haven't even lasted half that long, nor have my eyes been shut althrough the event. I can only imagined how uncomfortable and terrifying this is.

and another thing....im a atheistic satanist... do you see me on here trying to shove my religious bs down your throat? hell no. why dont you just let these people find help without your psycho-babble bullshit. if it was a demon problem i think god would be happy to help.
