It's funny to hear all of the rednecks and morons on here talking about what a piece of shit Dodge is. You don't hear me bitching about 6.0 Powerstrokes..except for right there.
Guys, It might not weight 14k empty, But it sure as hell would weigh WAY MORE then 14,000 full, Thats every bit of 4,000 gallons at 8-12 pounds per gallon depending on what it's full of.......
looks at least a 10,000 litre tank? (its probably bigger than that) so would be around 10 tonnes full plus the weight of the tank..........you wouldnt want it on your foot ....
@MrSheissen1 No just kew the workong limits of my job was not going to break am not a pussy like 98% of you yuppies we are farmers we work for our money with out dieing just kinow how to work it right....
@AGDemo You can know the working limit but things still fail. Throw a blanket over the fucker next time so your head remains where its supposed to be. Im not a yuppie, Im an EMT and have seen exactly the scenario twice now. Once an elderly man was pulling a stump when the chain snapped and the turnbuckle put a dent in the back of his head the size of a softball. Needless to say, he didnt make it. The other time, 4 wheeling and the strap slipped and killed a 14 yr old female bystander.
@MrSheissen1 I agree with what your saying about it being dangerous but a blanket isn't going to do anything. A heavy chain snaps under those conditions its going through you the truck and the engine. Your best bet is have everyone standing clear and a short chain that can't reach the driver.
@tazdevilman1 A blanket will slow it down because the chain wont have the power to overcome the wind resistance. If you fired a sheet of plywood out of a 458 magnum it would only go 3 feet. Simple physics.
@MrSheissen1 somehow i doubt wind resistance on a blanket over a chain that size under that kind of pressure (remember its 14,000 lbs being dragged on the ground and i am willing to bet not a tiny chain) isn't going to either shear the blanket in half or drive it into the tailgate but hey at least it would be something. I still say a shorter chain and no onlookers is a better idea. Good test for the mythbusters tho.
@tazdevilman1 A cloth bulletproof vest will stop a bullet. Im not trying to convice you, its known proper winching methodology. Even a jacket will stop a winch fairlead when it snaps, this Ive seen firsthand.
@AGDemo You say don't be a pussy but say have you ever read the bible... real men aren't scared of death and have to comfort themselves with "heaven"....
@dragons00014 hahaha ford? their diesels suck ass! especially their new 6.0, i worked on one, took me an hour and a half just to get the serpentine belt on! i looked it up, the estimated time for someone to do it (as given by ford and other websites) is 2.1 hours. just for a serpentine belt. they dont have power and they're a bitch to work on. now why is a power joke good?
@dragons00014 cummins is what they use in some semis and frontendloaders and bulldozers so suck on that! FORD= Found On Road Dead or Fix Or Repair Daily or Fix Or Recall Daily wichever you prefer
@AGDemo that tank holds a lot of pressure with all the fuel that goes in it. they make it thick so there won't be a problem in the future. as you can see the thing is over 100 years old
@mageac I agree 100% Ive seen alot of tanks scraped and only about 5% of them are ever even close to this thick!! Rail tank cars around 1/2" - 3/4" also at least the old ones were......
@ShutTFup Your an idiot, that tank is 20 feet long you moron, Oh wait, you mean it's not JUST 20 feet long it's also about 18 feet in circumferance? .. WAIT it's a TANK which means if it holds water it has to be approximately .25" think of solid steel..
go back to school, learn math Full, that tank would weigh in upwards of 80,000 lbs depending on what liquid was inside. This is why you see them transported on the back of semi's... captain fukn obvious
@YourGuardianSoldier Hell yeah I have some kick ass ones coming soon! Demolition, Bad ass peterbilt terror, destruction etc some made some in the works.......Soon!
If the tank was full and it was 14,000 lbs, this 3500 could not pull it. Only with 5th wheel towning could it pull 14,000. Attached to the rear end it could pull 11,000 at the most. Regardless BADASS video! Just bought myself a 94' f350 7.3L
Idk It all went in one load and it weightd 13,395 or 13,695 lbs I dont rember but it was close to 14,000 thick walls old old tank! Yeah I had a 95 powerstroke turned up! It was bad ass! Rolls good to! ;-)
@OnionHead123456 I hear yeah Maby they were a lil off on the scales?? Thanks for the comment ....Heck I put 4000lbs of rail track in the back of a 3/4 ton chevy before too! No bs Idon't know how it worked but it did!?!
Hell yeah I had a 95 7.3 Best truck I ever owned! I turned up the fuel...was fast as hell! But the dodge can pull as much as 2 F-250's almost got 4:10's manual trans fuel turned up too.....
LOL What kind of work is moving an old rusty tank around? hah I think you'd make a better difference flippin burgers at mcdonald's you white piece of shit :)
Ok You retard I own a demolition and scrap corp. Made 3/4 of a mill last year so ill laugh all the way to the bank! Have fun with your i-pod if you can get it back out of your ass fag boy! On n Have Fun With Your Mom At Walmart Tomorrow.......
LOL 3/4 million of pennies? I bet that'll buy you a sexy little mobile home. you're moving on up! before you know it we won't be seeing that long red mullet hangin low anymore! you just might get a real haircut :)
Hahaha...Nope Close Only Counts With Horse Shoes And Hand Gernades! The tank never touched the truck it was about 6' off the side of the truck! Just looked close if it kept rolling it would of pased the truck.
