  • I've got a red box and its awesome! GREAT if your starting out with your friends.

  • Oh crap dead guys

  • "So thats cool...theres a dead guy."

  • NOT TALKING DRAGONS!! lol

  • Some people were bugged that there's no way to just create a character without each player doing the choose-your-own-adventure thing.

I read somewhere that, since this is pretty much 4e anyway, you can use the old character creation rules, with revisions, and pretty much make what the choose-your-own-adventure thing makes.

  • Thanks for doing this.

  • thats cool theres a dead guy. LOL.

  • I wish they would keep releasing the 1st quest for DnD series, those were the best starter sets.

  • I remember getting the original red box in the mid 80's. It came with a white crayon that you needed to use to fill in the numbers on your dice! The whole experience of learning the game from the red box set was unforgettable. Then came the blue box, the green box and finally the gold box (Immortal Rules Set). Good times!

  • How did you get this before it was released?

  • Part 2 is up. Sorry I've been lazy.

  • Cool video, answers a bunch of questions I had about this new box...where's part 2?

  • At first I was a little confused by the Player's Book, but once I figured out it was a solo adventure that teaches character creation I was impressed. I wish it covered more levels and a section showing the normal character creation process. I was glad the power cards were in there.

  • @willquestion wait but you can play this with ur friends right? its not only a solo adventure?

  • @SKTroop979 There's a solo adventure in the Player's Book and then another adventure in the DM's Book that will take the players to level 2.

  • @willquestion i think it says up to 1 to 5 players can play this right? i guess i wanna buy it so i can have a small piece of those expensive rulebooks. lol. i'm into moving to new states and i got no time buying rulesbooks right now. lol.

  • @SKTroop979 Solo Adventures are adventures that are played outside of an ongoing campaign. They are meant to have everything you need (and usually including pre-generated characters and maps) and last one night. In a full D&D campaign the Dungeon Master creates his own adventures with maps and monsters and the players have full control over character creation.

  • @Adwrigh you're thinking one-shot adventures. Solo are adventures that require just one PC
