  • Pink Floyd ?

  • The official title of this recording is "Harlem Twist", it's a 1928 re-recording by Duke Ellington & His Orchestra of their 1927 hit and theme song "East St. Louis Toodle-Oo"! Bubber Miley plays the muted trumpet solos on both recordings. In fact, there were 3 different recordings made by Duke Ellington of this tune back then: the 1st, recorded in late 1926 and put out by Vocalion Records, failed to chart as had all his previous records, the 2nd (1927), on Columbia, was his first big hit!!

  • East St Louis Toodle-oo definitely
