no question the 80s was the best and the music and everything in it i was 10 years old in 1986 and i just love the 80s full of music friends and just haveing a good time
Epitome of late 80's bubblegum bimbo club music and I love it. Reminds me of hot chicks with tons of hairspray. Got no problem with Ms. Gaga, she's kind of a throwback to this era!
I was in the 7th grade. everyday after school i would hear it in the bus. I remember I couldnt wait to grow up. now I wish i was still small and my mom and dad could take care of me again.
The only reason why I looked-up this video is because I was hanging-out with the bass player and my brother in a jacuzzi three days ago. He said he's still working in the radio industry. He seemed like a really nice guy and said they opened for Duran Duran. I asked, "So be honest... Were Duran Duran a bunch of A-holes?" He said, "No, actually they were a really nice group of guys." Anyway, Mike seems to be doing well these days. Yeah, I remember this song from high school. Catchy little tune!
im 13 and hearing this song makes me want to live in the 80s.... i hate stupid people with their electronics.... its cool and all but i do wonder... what was there to do in the 1980s....
didn't pay too much attention to this song in the 80s, but after hearing it again it reminds me how good things were back then. a white woman with a black woman's voice...pretty cool!
I just watched this, Nu Shooz "I can't wait" and Chaka Khan "Chaka Khan", MAN this stuff is better than any drug in creation. I was 17 when this came out and it's still as good now as it was then. Awesome!
Epitome of late 80's bubblegum bimbo club music and I Love it. Reminds me of hot chicks with tons of hairspray. Got no problem with Ms. Gaga, she's kind of a throwback to this era!
I was 10 yrs old... now Im 34 but it seems like yesterday. I miss the 80's so much..when atari was hot, voltron , the thundercats, and cabbage patch dolls were in. God...do I miss those days.
@Paid4byJesus92 I feel you on that on that one. I was 15 when this song came out and now I am 38. Liked just as much now as I did when it came out. I do miss the 80's music, TV,etc.
It hurts me to say it, but, in terms of girl groups, Pretty Poison was nothing more than a one night stand in the 80's, and the sexist executives of the music industry are to be blamed for that. this tune is good, and that's what really hurts. Some people will never learn.
I agree with the one above.Todays music like lady GaGa is just sick and just like above they all sound like crap to me.I was a teenager back in the 80's and they were the best of good times.Kids of today just dont understand.I'm 41 now who has a 15yr old son and I've got him hooked on the 80's and he just loves it.
Great song, it came out during the era when music was still good, I'm 30 and I'll only listen to music from the 1970s, 80s and early 1990s, music IMO died around the time when the Spice Girls became huge

I'm mostly into the oldy music. Well like the 60's 70's 80's 90's and some early 2000's. the shit we got today is trash. the lyrics don't make sense and don't let me mention skanky 17 year old singers like Vanessa and Myley Cyris. Justin Beiber can suck dick for all I care. I don't see how his music is so "excellent" when really, the 80's were the best pop you can ever hear...and I mean EVERR!!
@TNRLovesToDance omg so agree i only listen to 70-very little early 2000's, this teen pop shit suckssss, biebers da biggest dbag on da planet, plz dnt get me started bout him lol man i wish music was still like da good old days. how much worse can it get??!?!?! lol
@08WSChamps= Just a while ago, I heard someone say, there is no cure for Bieber fever. Bullshit. Yes there is. It's called Time. His 15 minutes is almost up. We have already seen the end of Hannah Montana.
@vigo894 hahah lol his 5mins of fame will be over b4 he reaches puberty. and yea hannah montana is almost as dead as hillary duff. pretty said how she makes hillary duff sound good.
@TNRLovesToDance You make me smile! I was born in 1967 so I was definitely into 80's music as it happened. It's different today due to the Internet and other tech issues.......but back then it was a big deal when hit songs came out. I have so many great memories of me & my friends partying to songs like this and just having lots of fun! And forget about it when we hit 21 years of age!!!
@Shakeshack78 I was born in 91 but I grew up around the 80's since my mom loved it so much and same with the 60's and 70's. I also love the 50's. It's such peaceful meaningful music that can make you feel better about anything and today with all the screamo crap talking about dying and hurting yourself to make the pain feel better, just makes the suicide rate go up. That's just what I think. I hate it more than ever.
80's Forever! The best decade of music ever bar-none. Well said.
PS. When you call this "oldy" music you make me feel old. Maybe I am (43) , but I sure don't feel like it. I was about 16 when this was on the radio and MTV (yes, they used to play music video's back then).
It's all relative I suppose? I have the body of a 43 year old man, but I've got the mind of a sixteen year old....wait, maybe that's not cool to admit? Oh well, throw caution to the wind and say it anyway. Hahahahaha!
@n8tureboy Well... maybe you ARE old now... LOLOL My husband is 50 and is constantly mistaken for 10 yrs younger. Hate to repeat it, but it's true: it's all in his attitude (and his lack of wrinkles : p )
Vanessa and Myley are Disney Creations. And Justin got famous for his performances on youtube, and Usher helped him acheive success. So...blame youtube and Usher, and his millions of devoted fans. I think ppl are just jealous.
@chefmonsur Eh, close. Jon Cryer. They kinda resemble each other if you compare Mathew now to what Jon looked like back in the day. Jon Cryer is currently famous for his role on two and half men as the mooching brother with his son..
Cheesey 80's britney spears sounding pop. Times change but the pop trash rarely does. And this is from someone who loved the first half of the 80's from 1980 to about 1986. Pop music literally died from about 1987 to 1991.
This song brings back so many memories. I had the biggest crush on Keith Coogan who was also in Hiding Out movie with John Cryer. Everything about the 80's is a precious memory for me. I miss that decade so much.
@funkjaw seriously.... did you really need to bring up Reagan as something great about the 80's? The man who defined trickle down economics that we are still trying to push today despite it's failures. Giving rich people money to "create jobs" hasn't worked for 30 years yet we still preach the mantra like it's gospel.
You know what's great is that I was 15 in 1987 and I've never even HEARD of the movie "Hiding Out". It was that memorable a movie. I remember this song, though, and Jon Cryer was pretty hot at this time.
@perpetual61 I will if it will not only take me back to the 80's but make me 30 years younger and back to 120 pounds instead of the weight that I am now. That was the best decade ever! :0)
@perpetual61 If you build it, we need to capture the fat old lady in the Charlie Chaplin movie talking on her cell phone. (look it up if your puzzled)
I distinctly remember starting high school and this song playing on the school bus and there was a girl on the bus with pink hair!!!! That's as wild as it got back then folks!!!!! Great production and vocals on a song with cool lyrics and hooks
This song came back to me in a dream the other night. Love it, miss it! 80s rule!

@compsciguy I'm not even close by being jelouse. I rather be who I am today rather then a celeb. That life style would be hell.

is that mathew brodrick with a beard?
chefmonsur 1 year ago
@chefmonsur Eh, close. Jon Cryer. They kinda resemble each other if you compare Mathew now to what Jon looked like back in the day. Jon Cryer is currently famous for his role on two and half men as the mooching brother with his son..

ah.... memories.

Ronald Reagan and the 80's were the best times ever.
funkjaw 1 year ago

How in God's name are there 51 soulless people on this site that don't like this song? Some people have absolutely no sense of style.
