i'm sure he used some stunt double but i dont really care. I'm would say that Jackie chan did most of his stunts himself (including the dangerous ones). Dont forget, he was a stunt double himself before he started acting
About the rest... well, he REALLY did most of the skateborading stunts... like when he does a handstand on the skate or when he does a flip in city hunter from a car... that stuff doesen't require being very good at skateborading just acrobatic so I guess that's him
I see Jackie Chan: My Stunts in your favourites on here look at the credits on part 1 & you will see that Bey Logan is credited & he is the man who did all these wonderful dvd commentaries for Hong Kong Legends.
@Mafilmfanvids I heard a rumor to the effect that Jackie Chan didnt do the leap across the buildings in Rumble in the Bronx. It was either the director or Wlly Chan who did that. I dont know if the rumor is true. .
@Mafilmfanvids I also think Willy Chan didnt do it. When this film comes out on bluray - then I will super-zoom on the face and see who really did this stunt!
@yastunt 'LOL Willy Chan doing the building leap on Rumble'' ! Willy is old, and only wears flip flops. He's Jackie's long time manager. Stanley Tong would do the stunt but doubt that he did. Jackie did one of the takes, that''s clear from the outtakes, but most likely the wide shot was of one of the JC stun team.
Of course everybody shoul take into account these ones are insignificant stunts, bc the big deal is always performed by himself. He is an international superstar and however he has always rejected stuntdoubles for him continuously risking his life for art and keeping his image as the most respected and bravest stuntman in the world
I also find really especial traditional Lo Wei stuff, they were original and fun, in addition to Wang Yu stuff which I really love ( Killer Meteors, Fantasy Mission Force and Island of Fire ) , Jackie owed Wang Yu a favor for helping him to escape from triads), however its low budget and quality made them a failure in the box office, sth Jackie obviously felt no happy with.
They are not considered in fact stunt doubles, Jackie has always worked that way, he uses people of his stunteam, but the final good take is done by himself. This was even said by Mars in an interview. When you're directing, producing, acting, coreographing, etc you cannot do it all at the same time, which of course does not mean he cannot perform those stunts
he hasn't always have a stunt team partially in the Lo Wei era before he made it with snake in the eagle's shadow & drunken master, is fearless hyena 2 classed as doubles because jackie walked off set & about half the film isn't him.
True that, Fearless Hyena part II was released against Jackie's will, from that moment 1980, he separated forever from Lo Wei , signed with Golden Harvest as director and began his real success having the control of everything in his movies
Lo Wei used a double for Jackie in Fearless Hyena II in order to finish the movie properly, since Jackie decided not to work more on it.
So, perhaps this is the movie in which there's a double for JC, other movies could be labelled as doubles too, but just because he was heavily injured and coul not wait to recover. Example 1995's Thunderbolt, in which he was recovering from his ankle injury 0f the previous 1994's Rumble in the Bronx
but i feel it was more to do with he's not a trained car stuntman but yeah they use doubles for Jackie when he's injured or time limit(not so much as he got more control) repeated hit to area like slaming a back on the ground cos it take longer the recover from back injury than other parts. & some otherthings
Mars 火星 does the stunts before Jackie as a test. & someone like Yuen Biao 元彪 is more acrobatic. Jackie grew up with some of his stunt doubles & did the same training.

He was doubled when we only see his legs

every action actor uses doubles for safety purpose, and better stuntmen save more time.

well those stunts make sense i guess, it obviously all depends on what he is phisically capable of, or a certain skill set he does not have
ex. motorcycle
