We are learning this song in our Church Choir. I am a Christian and served in the USN for over 20 yrs. My daughters are also in the Choir and are half filipina and as patriotic as me! 5***** on this post !
i love this song. it is one of my favorites. my mother always sang. it reminds me of all the churches we sang at. on july 4th i think this is the first year i wont be singing with the family on july forth. i am glad there is still good men singing good songs like this one... :-)
Dude, what is your problem? You are obviously too stupid to research statistics. The vast majority of those serving in our armed forces are Christians. Our founding father were profoundly spiritual and their writings reflect that. Are you saying that you cannot sing a Christian patriotic hymn without having served in the military? Does that mean that you can't talk about football unless you play in the NFL? What a dork you are. I served for 8 years. BTW, are YOU in the military? Jerk!
I really enjoyed listening to this because I have met the composer. He is an original member of The Couriers and my senior pastor managed the group for many years.
love it. My brother traveled with one of the Crown College singing groups in New england and a few other states and this is one of the song they sang and they did it perfect. this is realy great to. i love how this is patriotic and christian.
Wow, I grew up listening to southern gospel quartet music in a little baptist church, and I totally remember this song. Now it just makes me cringe. The whole American Christian confusion re: America/Christianity, how they do and/or don't intersect. Yikes.

I used to attend Church in San Diego in the late 70's and I heard the Californian's sing this. Don't recall hearing it since then.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
How many of these "Christian patriots" have actually served in the armed forces, much less in combat?
