theses nothing wrong with haveing ocd its more common then you think ,but hate it when other people view it as a bad thing and treat people diffrently if they have it like useing it as a diss , well that could be offensive
Watching the beginning of this video , where people were asked if they knew what OCD was , and didn't know , just made me burst into tears. It seems so alien to me not knowing about this horrible disease to being oblivious to its existence and impact it has . Sad really. I have suffered from OCD for almost 20 years now.
I used to have this but eventually came to realize that I was being a total fag. Sometimes I will admit that it's hard to overcome my compulsion but I know if I do that I will feel better in the end.
You did a swell job on opening people's eyes on what are some difficulties families have to go through in order to get themselves or son/daughter treatment for this disorder.
I had the same issues, and I'm currently going through them once again.
I have OCD. I have documented myself going through my day and (trying to) tell my thoughts as I go through my "moments." I didn't mention that I do theses things because I do have anxiety about the "what if's" or" this might happen if i don't do this." I didn't mention this because I am so use to my mind being this way. And it is really hard to control. Please look at my videos titled I am April Webb and I have OCD.
I once had to read a book twice. TWICE. I almost died at the end of boredom. It was pure torture. At least I only did that once, phewf. Now I just have to read things twice if they're short or a page long at most and I have to flick on and off the light switch up to 60 times, etc... It takes about 1-3 hours out of my day.
I have terrible OCD and continually waste time everyday over things that seem abnormal, although when I begin interacting in something eg. sports it completly goes away and only comes back after i've finished the sport.
@Maroondare yea, thing is that you need to find something to keep you occupied , to keep your mind off what it says to you, untill you get used to not do what you do, as it lasted longer, i's harder to make it go away
@TheSpongecake101 Im sorry to hear that, i had an early stage of OCD when i was younger but i somewhat refused it and fighted it, i was willing to stop counting stuff and circule around object and everything i did
but unfortienetly my younger brother has bad form of ocd and nothing seems to help him , he isnt dedicated to fight it.. :(
you didn't properly erase the 't' in the beginning and it's driving me insane

I'm like those two kids, and I have OCD too. Also they both have pianos in the background, and I play the piano too. That's just weird.
