  • the "forest of transistors" is probably an H bridge, if the cat can back up/walk backwards. the bubble chip is probably what makes the whole thing tick as there is a resonator there or it could just be the voice-box either way it looks like its interchangeable with different ones for a dog or something (heres a funny thought, put the cat bubble chip into the dog version of it see what happens)

  • SHUT UP KITTY!!!!!!!!

  • I am a avid follower of the Captain's blog. I find it ironic that the ad that appeared when this video loaded was for a game called "Never Dead".

  • You should use the head, top half of the body and tail and mount it to the guts of an R/C Car so you have a weird partial cat that drives around.

  • You really need to get Paul back in the autopsies, Its just so much better with both of you

  • You really should have Moose make a nice plaque on the CNC Router and mount the head on the wall behind the autopsy set. It'd make a nice trophy...

  • That was certainly entertaining, but Chris, what ARE you going to do with that tail?? lol

  • those green things at about 15:00 could also be inductors.

  • so it can walk with people.

  • greebling, right? THE MORE YOU KNOW!! :)

  • Chris you should have circuit-bent the kitty! lol

  • this reminds me of an outer limits episode where a father puts the mind of his child into a robot and hes trying to pet the cat, watch it, kitty is so soffffftttt

  • I swear this cat was sentient! That squeal when you went to remove it's... err... legs... just...

    I shuddered while laughing :D

  • I love your shirt

  • maby the copper plate sensors act as a temine detecor... 28:10 In norway the wired armature is called startor.

  • @transistorbaluba Startor or stator

A stator is a stationary part of a motor, in the case of that motor that would apply to the magnets, the spinning part is generally known as a rotor, armature can relate to any moving part in a motor, solenoid or relay.

Other stators could be the field windings in other types of motor, like the squirrel cage, or series field wound AC/DC motor as found in vacuum cleaners.

  • NurdRage is a boss.

  • Tip for removing those plastic plugs, stab it with your steely knife, then use a woodscrew to pull them out

I use a pointed awl, or use a screw awl, especially useful if when trying to lever them out they go deeper, on some equipment they are more about security, and they push them deep to prevent you getting a lever under them.

  • @sparkyprojects I stabbed it with my steely knife but I just couldn't kill the beast.

  • @thegeekgroup win.... so much win

  • @thegeekgroup Your demon cat hypnotized me! Last thing I remember I was running for the door, I had to find the passage back to the place I was before.

  • poor kitty...

  • the most funny session of all your autopsies...:-)

  • I love the way your Wikipedia URLs are full of %27s and other encoded stuff that's fun to type in (you might want a new caption that just says 'Search Wikipedia for: blahblah)

  • @pikuorguk The links are clickable.

  • I'm not happy. RSPCA contacted,

it's fitting that it was done on the autopsy table. :)

  • both of them are making annoying sounds, please stop screaming in front of the microphone man !

  • Those small boards with a epoxy blob is almost always the sound generator IC in cheap electronic toys.

  • omg you americans realy need to reduce the amount of chinese products. I want to se you guys making rc cars (big or small) using bits from your "equipment autopsy". That would be something realy interesting)

  • Should have fried it :)

  • @MrSoundshark

Oh it got fried all right, but that video is on another channel!
