Does any other woman besides me feel a bit smug when he groans while wearing that corset? It's almost as amusing as when a guy loses a bet and has to see what it's like to wear a woman's high heels shoe. The whole falling flat on their faces makes me feel better about being stuck wearing them.
@VocalMusicology: You are not stuck wearing high heels: no-one is threatening your life or liberty if you don't wear them. But most women I have spoken to about this would much rather ruin their feet, knees, and spine than wear sensible, "ugly", shoes. Not that men do not have their own dumb shackles but (in the modern era, at least) it seems to be predominantly women who have sacrificed their reason to footwear.
@KupoXD They were the well dressed, witty and elegant men of a new generation. Led by George 'Beau' Brummell. They are mostly remembered now for their sartorial dress, but in fact the group of men were also known at the time for their wit, amiability and loyalty.
@KupoXD It's an English colloquism meaning "a soft person." Usually meant to mean the rich who don't work and idle away their time. It was used more commonly in the past than it is nowadays.
@KupoXD 'Dandy' was a phrase used to describe a man who placed particular importance upon his physical appearance, use of refined language and taking part in leisurely activities.
