In this battle, it looks like you try to employ the hammer and anvil strategy, but don't really put it into it's proper use. It seems like its more of just a simple hard cavalry charge into their rear guard. I may be wrong but i believe the strategy behind the hammer and anvil is to attack from the flanks and force the enemy to continue their push into your center column, effectively trapping their forces and "hammering" their infantry etc. into your main fighting force.
Because they were trained to fight off English raiders that mauraded(sp?) the entirety of France constantly. Although prior to the Hundred Yrs war the Army wasnt too good.
Yea the French army mainly consisted of peasants, seige equipment and barely any knights., the first waves were pea's and bow's but they got reemed by my cav
Actually France had some of the best troops in Europe and plenty of knights to the point that it was a problem. Now in the days of Jeanne D'Arc and prior there were alot of of peasants in the Army but they were far better trained than the english, save the longbow men which France had a precious few of, but where under poor leadership so they were often ineffectual. The reason the peasants were good is like why Isralis are good troops.

You're probaly right but you also didnt see much of the battle previously. Either way, it was a major cavalry maneuver to say the least.

Dude, I was referenceing the fictional battle that took place in a video game. Which is what the video is of.
By the way, the tactic being used is what Alexander used.. extensively. hammer and anvil.
