Raven is without a doubt of my top 5 fav. wrestlers of all-time, and at the very least, my favorite ECW performer ever. This was my first time seeing him live, as I tried for almost 3 years prior to that. This was the loudest reaction I've ever been a part of! The video does not do it justice!

the only reason wcw took raven is because they saw what could have been, if ecw kept raven longer, his story lines and main event matches would have been something great, so WCW signed him and kept him at mid card status, f*#k WCW. its the same thing with sandman, sandman was great in ECW, but when wcw made him hardcore hak, no beer, no smoke, no entrance. WCW signed these guys to keep ECW from growing

It wuz the second show taped 4 TNN. The 1st show they couldnt air cuz TNN execz didnt like what wuz taped. I have 1 of the matches that wuz taped 4 TNN on dvd. It wuz a tag match Dudleyz vs Spike/Ballz & Spike got powerbombed through 2 flamin' tablez. So Paul gave TNN a dif. tape 2 introduce ECW 2 the national audience & on that tape wuz Jerry Lynn vs RVD from Hardcore Heaven. Then thiz wuz the followin week where the Dudleyz left ECw & Raven returned. Classic.

TNN didn't do any advertising for the Original ECW except during the actual broadcast. This was despite the fact that ECW was TNN's Highest Rated Show. You should buy and watch the Rise and Fall of ECW DVD Set. TNN never supported ECW, they simply used them and once they saw that people would watch Professional Wrestling on TNN, they dumped ECW in favor of the WWF/WWE.

One thing i loved about ECW was that they didn't care about competing with WWF and WCW. ECW let WWF and WCW duke it out themselves while they esatblished a great and loyal fanbase. That is where TNA lacks. They started off actually being wrestling, but listened to fans whining about needing storylines to match up with WWE. If ECW heard that they'd say "fuck you, we do what we want"
