  • My oldest son's middle name is Colin-for Jesse Colin Young/Youngblood's/of course, it didn't hurt that I was Irish/music geek in 1974/2009

  • i love that song but I'm pissed at Robert Plant for leaving Led Zeppelin

  • Plant did a great job on this song! (though i still prefer the youngbloods' original version). but what the hell is going on in the video?

  • Check out Eric Burdon's studio version...

  • Only thru pain & suffering can a man become trully human...

  • Needs more zazz.

  • beautiful

  • thanks robert, "hammer of god"

  • Lol. just by robert plant i think this show's zeppelin are the best ever band. his voice wow. Jimmy paige WOW. i seen them last year in wembley the re-union wow. amazing. i have also seen plant on his own preforming. infact i saw him for £5.

  • Make love to this song? U outta ur mind? this is a song of deep, desperate depression and pain. I could think of more romantic topics.

    :-)

Meanwhile, wow. Plant did right by The Youngbloods version. Hard to take a classic and make it your own.

  • this is a masterpeice. Damn fine. Thank you Robert. You speak my language Cheers

  • plant is the best singer forever! for me at least..

  • Rock God - I like Plant's take on this classic song by The Youngbloods. Thanks for posting.

  • Thanks for sharing this Donna

  • i didnt know this was a remake. thks for the info.

  • Amazing song, he did an amazing job reworking this song. I must admit the video takes away from the music which is a shame, but still great song.

  • Old favorite of mine. Saved my sanity as a young man. Thanks!

  • His voice brings me shiver.

  • dreamland is a masterpiece.evrysong moves me to tears, especially this one, morning dew and song to the siren

  • Great cover, but I can't understand why RP would change the words. i.e. should be: "Darkness, Darkness, Hide my yearning, For the things that cannot BE, Keep my mind from constant turning, Toward the things I cannot SEE, now"...

  • I already have this on my funeral CD tracks list, LOL

  • wow pure and powerful lyrics

  • Ann Wilson from heart does an amazing version on her new Hope and Glory album.....the cut after Immigrant song.

  • AMAZING!

  • nicee video man

just maybe to put the scream wider =P

buhh the rest is okayy !! (*)

  • AMAZING!

  • One of my favorite songs, ever.

  • Damn it!This song is so cool! How about the rest of this album?

  • magic video... and voice too ;)

  • i like the song but the video is kind of weird and crippy

  • he's the living legend to me since Led Zeppelin !

wOw me all the time I hear him

  • god...i love u......

    no one else matters.....

  • Mott the Hoople's version is better.

  • Man, he's getting old, but he still has that powerful voice, of course not as good as during Zeppelin career, but is still great...

  • robert plant is god.

  • No one gives more to music than Robert Plant. If you dont have his album 'The Mighty Rearranger' in your record collection... you dont have a record collection.

  • the recorded version is 5 minutes long.

  • I heard 7 minutes long version, beautiful:)

  • I never noticed it, but this is shorter then the recorded one, and it cuts out a huge hunk of the guitar which is freaking awesome.

  • great song

  • This is as somber dark as it gets for now. "...is the day that brings me here...I have known the depths of fear...take away this pain of knowing...fill this emptiness with light, now."

  • Where's the Youngblood's version?

  • It would be one of so much goodness, to go to paradise and see Robert Plant by God. Robert is just too many words to describe. I don't know him, so I should leave it there.

  • This is such an awesome cover by Robert Plant. Only he can give a sound like this to a song. EXCELLENT!

  • Robert Plant sounds so good, even to this day,his voice is amazing in this one.

  • O cara é muito foda!

Fulk! this is GREAT! The Plant is GREATER!!!

  • I like Mott the Hoople's version better.
