The virus control on a mac is way better. My friend lost more than one PC to crappy virus control. Mac is a lot better, in my opinion

I'm a Mac. I have a pc as well for school. I've gone through four in almost a year. PCs are crap and always crash/fail. My Mac hasn't never had a problem. My Mac battery life is sooo much better then my PC, it's insane.

For my Mac I use Open Office to replace Microsoft word. The only thing I'm going to give to PC is the price, and, I haven't been able to find a good movie maker, because iMovie blows, though I will check out Final cut.

@MsDommiekins Eh, I disagree with you on the crashing- since I was 9 (6 years ago) my family has only gone through 2 PCs, and I've had my PC laptop for a year, no problems.

But Final Cut is supposed to be pretty good. You should check that out!

Yeah, a lot of people I know who have PCs laptops and desktops who's computers crash all the time.

And yeah, Final cut, I did, It's about 1,000 dollars. Wayyyy to expensive.

I'm just saying from experience of using a mac for school, microsoft office runs exactly the same on Mac and PC. No difference AT ALL. and the OS X they have on it (idk which version) runs very smoothly with no bugs so far, after using it for half a year. I don't really want to take a side here, cause I really don't wanna argue, it's all just a matter of preference, like Xbox vs. PS3, Muscle cars Vs. Sports cars, etc.

1. how long does a mac last? longer than a PC, with all it's viruses.

2. PCs are ugly. good choice.

3. agree with above. you can do all that with a mac. you clearly have never used it except browsing for 2 minutes at the apple store, huh?

4. let's look at virus numbers, shall we? i've had my mac for 3 years. never a problem. my mom had a PC for 3 years. already being replaced.

1. PCs actually last way longer, seeing that MacBooks don't have a battery that the user can take out, meaning you have to get an entire new laptop when your battery dies.

3. Um, no, I've used Macs more then just some browsing at an Apple Store. And I know that PCs are so much more customizable.

4. Snow Leopard is like an open soda in the summertime- its full of bugs!

5. Microsoft Office for Mac sucks. Seriously, it was developed for PC, its better for PC.

4-2 for mac if you add gaming . Pc is better at customisation but overall mac is nicer , you can buy Microsoft office witch I find is better on mac beign a mac and pc owner , less viruses on mac and better operating

Basically, PC = Business/Gaming & Mac = Media Creation. (Photos,Movies,Music etc.)
