Shamrox:- Your first statement is correct. This woman is the Palin of the Democrats. I think she is still bitter from loosing in the 1980's or whenever she ran.
She was right, Hillary Clinton has written 16 bills while in the Senate over two terms. Obama... written 2 bills while in the Senate one term, same amount as autobiographies. If voters were smart they would have voted on record and accomplishments but people are blinded. you shouldnt vote for or against someone b/c of color of skin.
Biden- (on Obama)"articulate, bright, clean black man"
(on voters in southern states)"my state was a slave state"
ferraro is the palin of the democratic party. she's the out-of-left-field & inexperienced female VP pick during a year when it looks like there's no other way that the party can achieve the white house. she might consider herself a fighter for female empowerment and rights, but she's doing herself and the people she claims to represent a lot of harm by making all these angry/goofy statements in the press.
That rickety old bitch. Instead of trying to hold on to her little power, by being a racist, she should be praying to God that he's allowed her to stay around. Her dry ass pussy.
Hey dumbass. If you actually would look at Obama response it was the media that said it was a racist comment. If he did happen to say that it would be a quote from him.
did u listen to the video..his campaign have been calling her....why did Obama not jump on the media then .. u need not respond Hillary Dem will get McCain elected if he is the candidate..
Jeremiah Wright inspired Obama to write "The Audacity of Hope". He officiated Obama's marriage. He baptized Obama's children. Obama listened to his racist sermons for 20 years. Obama let his kids listen to his racist sermons for 20 years!
Tell me about it, young. If GerFer said what she said and wore a KKK getup while saying it everybody would go, "this bitch is a f'n racist!" But because Ferraro is a Democratic party establishment icon and a trailblazer herself via her failed '84 VP candidacy you have a lot of (white) people going, "what's the big deal?" It just goes to show how racism can manifest itself as a wolf in sheep's clothing and how in the process (other) people's own attitudes get exposed by how they react.
I don't give a damn what color Obama is, but I do care about his Muslim upbringing. The people of this country better wake up and buy a copy of the Koran and read it. You do not become a Muslim today, then renounce it later.
Once a Muslim, always a Muslim no matter what you call yourself. Do a little research on the pastor of Obama's church. His past affiliations are not something most pastors would want in their history.
Remember the man in Afghanistan who wanted to be a Christian? Think!
What Muslim upbringing?! This is f'n REE-DICK-U-LOUS! Faith is an intensely personal thing - just because your father is one thing doesn't mean your religious passport has been stamped for the rest of our life! WTF?! Why would Obama spend 20 years going to church if he was Muslim? Ya think he figured back in '88, "damn, I'd better create a fake church going Christian identity so my ass is covered when I run for President in 2008!" Wake up to these blatant smears and THINK 4 YOURSELF!
I hate it when people say they can't attack obama without being racist. Bullsh-t! Obama has beena attacked by McCain on issues and never was he accused of racism. John Edwards critisized obama on issue and he never was called a racist. If you attack obama on issues there's nothing wrong with that. If a candidate is that insecure of himself that he can't criticize obama, then he or she shouldn't be running for office. People who say they are afraid are just closet racists who can't back it up.
Geraldine, shut your trap, you're blowing it for yourself, and you're blowing it for HRC. You made an outright racist comment, you should accept that you did, apologise, and withdraw the comment. Now you just sound like a whining crybaby. Enjoy the black mark on your record, it will be the last one recorded.
With her helping Hillary she is sure to beat Obama now! You go girl. Teach Hillary how to only win Minnesota and DC in a general election, while systematically being destroyed in the other 49 states...all the while being appointed to VP just because you were female.
If Obama is losing and she came out and say "Obama is losing because he's BLACK," then i would find that to be more offensive than saying he wins because he's black because historically, when do you EVER see a black winning a presidency?? Never! So it seems to me she has her head inside her ass when she make that comment because (even though it's not true because Obama win by his talents not skin color), her comments is very odd.
I think Olbermann summed it up quite nicely tonight on Countdown. This old hag is in a dream world if she believes being Black is an advantage in this country. This is another example of the deep seeded racism in this country. She claims she has supported civil rights. Bullshit. Her spin on this is quite nauseating. This is why she helped lose the election in '84.
You have disappointed me; it was one of the best moments in my life when you ran for VP in 1984. Today, you seem very much out of touch and frankly, like an angry old white woman.
Once again, you prove your astounding capability to project the depth of your stupidity, and lack of education. Not only are you now a SEXIST, but HOMOPHOBIC as well. And yes, by the way, your "DIKE" and "LESBO" comments (misspelled) don't stick. I'm male, but thanks for playing.
PS- Did you ever graduate from High School? if not, I'm sure there are a few Community Colleges that can get you a GED or Degree through.
Goodluck in your bottomless pit of a life. I'm sure your Obama vote will turn your life around for the better! Keep those welfare checks comin' now! Afterall, "YES-YOU-CAN!"
I took that BOY to the shed and gave him the whipping of his life. You would think he would say "THANK YOU MASTER GIVE ME MORE"....why is the media is giving this woman time on the air....GO AWAY FERARRO!!!!BACK TO YOUR LITTLE HOLE...by the way...WHERE IN THE HELL YOU COME FROM....now you are the VICTIM...racist BITCH...
C'mon people, the woman is simply commenting on the tone of 'political correctness' we face in this country. Too many people have had to 'tip-toe' around Obama because they don't want the term "racist" preceding their name til the day they die! True: it's a TOUCHY subject, but that doesn't mean people should be slandered as being a "racist" if they comment on something SO OBVIOUS. Before you know it, Obama will say that 2+2=5 and you just might believe it. Use your head, people.
I dont buy that cr-p! It's not about political correctness. It's about decency! If she wants to be an a-shole that's her right, but being an a-shole comes with a price. Yes, you can attack obama without being a racist. McCain has done it without the race accusation. And what so obvious? Black people support obama because he's black? So does that mean that the majority of white people selected white people for office because they are white? Why do you hold black people to different standards.
If you look back in history these two candidates did not get that much support. Secondly, why do WHITE American always try and tell African Americans how they should vote, why they are voting, etc. By the way, why do you even care about who African Americans supporting. We supported Bill Clinton, Al Gore, and John Kerry with the same amount of turn out. It was uneducated whites that put Bush in office for eight years.
I agree with you 99%...accept she is not right about black voting for Obama because he is black. If that was the case Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton would have gotten the same amount of support that African Americans gave Obama.
I agree that she's wrong about that. The problem is with people like her who think they are always right, you have to break it to them in a way they understand. Of course, arguing with this lady would be a waste of time.
God D-mm-t why can't you just say you made a mistake! I'm white too and I have said things that offended black people. It was not my intention, but I apologized because what said was taken the wrong way. Why can't she just say, "im sorry that my comment was taken in a way that was not my intention. I should have been more clear about it." Instead she goes out of her way defending herself, which shows a true a-shole. It's not that hard to apologize. So what if you're right. You offended someone.
Ferraro said Obama was black so she didn't make a mistake. He is, however, lucky that she didn't refer to him as the "Melanzana" ala Tony Soprano style. Melanzana is the Italian word for eggplant head.
Placid of demeanor but pointed in his rhetoric, Jackson struck out repeatedly today against those who suggest his race has been an asset in the campaign. President Reagan suggested Tuesday that people don't ask Jackson tough questions because of his race. And former representative Geraldine A. Ferraro (D-N.Y.) said Wednesday that because of his "radical" views, "if Jesse Jackson were not black, he wouldn't be in the race."
how is it "spin" to just say what she said? how it is "parsing" her words to just repeat what she said? don't know enough about this woman's record to know if she's done a lot of good or not, but her ideas about racism and prejudice are clearly more screwed up than she seems to think. what a friggin' nut!
