  • Ooops! I was thinking it was woodstock!

  • How come no video footage of this part of the concert ever circulated I wonder.

  • fighissima!

  • I was tree years old.

  • Janis and Johnny Winter also jammed together with B.B. King at the second Miami Pop Festival December 1968 at Gulfstream Park. It happened in the afternoon, as I recall, on a small stage to a few hundred folks. I had a professional quality portable tape recorder for radio stations and taped their performance. I played it on my FM show in Tampa, but, alas, the tape was lost over the years.

  • They are awesome!!!great!!!

  • Tonight I was just fooling around looking for concerts I have been to, ! What a surprise! I was at this show too. ,Janice drinking Southern Comfort straight, from the bottle. I still have the ticket stub to prove it.Thanks for posting this.

  • For historic purposes?

Maybe so, but it seems more to me like some sort of live shot-gun wedding between blues and rock.

Historic purposes indeed... You say that almost apologetically, then you proceed to post one of the most kick-ass jams that anyone could hope to hear anywhere.

    Thank You

  • @PsychLion Yes, I was really surprised when Janis brought out Johnny Winter, it was great. The Paul Butterfield Blues Band was the opening band, and they were also great. I went to Johnny Winter's concert the next night for a full night of hearing Johnny.

  • Cool stuff and rare I must say. Its odd to see Johnny with a Les Paul, although I think he recorded 2nd Winter on a Gold Top LP. Thanks for sharing this bit of history.
